Chapter 17: Arrival at Hogwarts

"In five minutes, the train will arrive at Hogwarts. Please leave your luggage in the car and I will send you to school for you" A magnetic male voice sounded inside the car.

Harry and Ron's faces turned pale with nervousness, and when they heard the sound, their legs and stomachs began to fight.

"Hey, hey—are you two alright?" said Ivey disdainfully. These two guys aren't as good as Neville

"Look at Neville, how calm people are"

Harry and Ron looked over

"Toad-my toad" seems to have fallen into a daze.

"Are you sure he's okay? I feel so much better than he is! Ron whispered to Ivey again, "Also, aren't you nervous?" How like nobody. ”

"I've seen the world!"

"Cut" Harry and Ron despise him together

In fact, Ivey is far from being as calm as he appears. After all, we are about to reach the center of this world, and it would be false to say that we are not excited. But he's already an "old boy" and can't be like a wild boy who hasn't been to the city.

The one who can really do it without being shocked is Betty. She listened to the radio, her heart did not fluctuate, she still calmly looked at the scenery outside the window, her cold face was like a pool of stagnant water, and she was not alarmed.

However, after Ivey's interruption, the two did relax a lot.

As the train slowed down, Ivy and the others packed the rest of the snacks into their bags and slowly moved towards the door with the flow of people.

Eventually, the train stopped at a humble platform. The little ones pushed, shoved, and crowded to get out of the car.

The platform was dark and small, with only one street lamp, and it was impossible to see what was burning inside. A cold wind blew, and the little wizard hugged his arms, shivering from the cold.

"First-year freshmen! First-year freshmen come to me! The rough voice came from far and near, and the bright light reflected a large figure walking up to the students, it was Hagrid. He searched the crowd

"Hey! Harry, long time no see. A simple hello

"All first-year students follow me, watch your steps and don't fall behind!"

Unlike other grades, freshmen have to walk through it in order to have a full sense of ceremony.

The young wizards followed Hagrid down the path into the woods. At night, the road in the forest is very slippery, narrow and steep, so the group stumbles. The black forest shadows on both sides made the atmosphere very depressing, and everyone was not in the mood to speak.

"Turn the corner ahead and you'll see Hogwarts!" Hagrid shouted back

His words caused quite a commotion, and everyone was happy. Some were excited to see the legendary Hogwarts right away, while others were happy to leave the haunted place.

Turn the corner and the view widens. The trail ends at a lake. On the other side of the lake, on a high hillside, a magnificent castle stands majestically. The castle is full of spires, the windows are lit by candles, and under the night sky, the whole castle is starlit.

"It's so beautiful~" "It's spectacular! ”

In front of the pier, one after another exclamations rang out.

"We need to take a boat to the other side, and each boat can't be more than four people." Hagrid said, pointing to the boat on the shore

Everyone began to board the boat together. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Ivey with Betty and two passers-by.

"Are you all on board?" Hagrid shouted, and he alone took a boat

"Okay—let's go!"

The oars paddle across the lake, and the waves swell into the distance

On the black lake, more than a dozen small boats floated to the opposite shore. They crossed the lake into one of the tributaries on the shore. The top of the river is covered with vines, like a tunnel of green vines. Follow the tunnel to a pier. It's the same shabby, with old road signs stuck on the side and a lamp hanging on it. A gravel, cobblestone path leads up the hillside.

"Alright, everyone get off the boat, we're about to be in front of Hogwarts" Hagrid was the first to disembark. When everyone was on the dock, they began to inspect the empty boats.

"Hey, isn't this your toad!" He looked at Neville and pointed to the toad lying in the boat.

"Oh, thank God!" Neville shouted in ecstasy, then reached out and took the toad into his arms. Ivy felt a chill at it, it was too much for him to accept.

The group followed Hagrid upwards, and when they passed a place that resembled a terraced field, Ivy saw a large willow tree, which was planted not far away.

After passing through a rocky passage, you will reach a meadow covered in the shadow of the castle.

Hagrid stopped, waiting for everyone to arrive

"There's the Hogwarts gate ahead!"

Walking straight inside, a large oak door appeared in front of everyone. Hagrid knocked three times, and the door opened automatically. Continuing on, there are stone steps. At the end of the stone steps is a gate carved with elaborate patterns. In front of the door, a tall witch in an emerald green robe stood. She wears square glasses, and her long black hair curls back in a high bun.

"These are first-year freshmen, Professor McGonagall," Hagrid said

"Okay, thank you, Hagrid. Leave it to me here. ”

Hagrid winked at Harry and left

"Welcome to Hogwarts, everyone," Professor McGonagall said

"The opening party is about to begin, but before you enter the auditorium and take your seats, decide which house you'll be going to. Sorting is an important ceremony. While you're in school, the House is your home at Hogwarts. ”

She paused, giving the young wizards time to digest.

"The four houses are: Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each house has its own glorious history and has produced many outstanding wizards. While in school, if you do well, you will give your house extra points, and some violations will cost you points. At the end of the term, the house with the highest score receives the House Cup, which is a very high honor. I hope that you can win more glory for your college during your time in school. ”

"I'm going to go to the auditorium now to set up the ceremony, and soon the sorting ceremony will be held in front of all the teachers and students of the school. Now I suggest that you get your groomed before the sorting ceremony begins. Professor McGonagall said, glancing at Ron's nose

"I'll pick you up when I'm ready. Please be quiet," Professor McGonagall began to contort before disappearing in front of the crowd.

"Wow!" "That's cool!"

The crowd began to agitate

Harney smoothed his hair with both hands, while Ron rubbed his nose desperately. Everyone seemed to have found the irregular places on their bodies in an instant, and they desperately began to tidy up. Poor Neville nearly broke his neck as he straightened his cloak.

Malfoy's three little killers were still taunting the others around them.

Ivey looked sideways at Betty. Well--white shirt with black tie, gray sweater underneath, black plaid skirt underneath, gray knee-high socks on his feet and small black round-toed leather shoes, and a black robe over it. Not to mention people.

"Perfect"

"Speaking of which, how did they do the sorting? Are there any criteria? Harry asked Ron

"I don't know, neither George nor Fred elaborates. But it's going to be difficult, maybe we'll need to cast a spell or something. Ron replied

"No, I don't know anything. Ive, what do you say? Harry wasn't convinced

"Definitely not," Ivey said

"So sure?" Perhaps his tone was too categorical, Hermione, who was thinking about which spells to use, asked

"You've read so many books, you should know about our family. If it had been by releasing magic to sort out, our family would have been finished long ago. Ivy explained reasonably
