Chapter 3: Death and Destruction
I felt like I couldn't breathe as my figure was pressed to the ground like a missile.
Bang!
The impact robbed me of the air in my lungs as I felt multiple parts of my body ach in excruciating pain. When I saw the gorilla dive into the water with its fists outstretched, I didn't have time to think. As I threw [Guardian Light] and exited the pit, my body was covered in golden light, and my fist shattered down, missing me in a second
I wasted no time in retaliating, projecting [cold impermanence] at this huge beast many times. It seems to instinctively avoid the 5-meter cold wind, as the first two times it hit the air, only the third time it caught it while dodging and making contact
Growl!
It shouted angrily as it had a crimson wound on its left hand, and a blue icy flame danced on it. Anger took control of me as I kept hearing screams around me, as more and more [cold explanation] was thrown at the giant gorilla. After the first hit, it was able to dodge less and less, and as more skills smashed into its body, the icy flames seeped into its bones.
The fur and skin that seemed to provide it with a formidable defense were tattered and bleeding, and its smiling expression was completely gone when it looked at me in fear. My only reaction was more frozen explosions, and its body was smashed further to the ground. I just watched as its body became more and more mutilated, and soon I couldn't hear the beast
The area around it was still destroyed by the cold explosion, but when it disappeared, I saw a shiny [Skill Manual] and a shiny [core] on the ground. I swooped down and grabbed what I saw, and began to turn my attention to the hunter in the background fighting the smaller beast
When I started casting Doomsday Lightning on monsters that clashed with hunters several times, I looked at the information on the skill manual. This is a skill called [Instant Transfer - Teleport to Anywhere You Can See]. It's a very simple skill that I learned while flying wildly across the sky and continuing to shoot down red lightning at any monster I saw
I can't cast [Icy Impermanence] as they also destroy the hunters around me, and can only be knocked down with the highest damage single-target skill I have. Elizabeth is already on the action with the other A-class hunters who are clearing B-class dungeons. They have been taking down monsters while saving as many lower-level hunters and soldiers as possible
I saw a hunter far away to be eaten, and I certainly wouldn't have flown there. When my body disappeared, I used [Instant Transfer] for the first time and reappeared next to the person who was about to be devoured in the head. My defensive skills repelled the monster, and another red bolt of lightning struck its chest, blowing it away
The hunter thanked me as he breathed roughly, and I disappeared into another place once more, making my way through the battlefield and knocking down as many beasts as I could. A mixture of gorillas, apes, and orangutans run around the fields and are up to 3 meters in size. Their numbers quickly dwindled as they were taken down by A-rank hunters, who also fought
The area soon came to a standstill, with most of the hunters staying, and many injured or killed as they looked around in fear and pain. The friends they had just spoken to died around them.
After killing the remaining monsters with the [Arrow of Doom], I flew around and cast [Guardian Light] on all the hunters who were badly injured and still breathing. All bookings were left out the window. I did my best to use my skills to minimize damage. As I healed those around me, I could already see the expressions of hope and surprise in the gaze of the senior hunter
I paused in the air for a moment and looked at the city, where smoke could be seen and explosions continued to echo. The battle continued, the casualties were even higher, and I looked at the hunters below me, who were either almost exhausted or looking at the city angrily.
I had already flown towards the city center and my voice rang out with a powerful voice as I shouted [war cry]: "Cheer up, unite and do what you can to save more!" ”
As I rushed towards the city at a faster pace, my words were dragged behind me, and my brain quickly churned, giving me the idea of using a combination of [Hawkeye] and [Instant Transfer]. My gaze was focused on a little over a mile into the city, where the hunters were about to be overwhelmed by monsters, and when I used [Instant Transfer], my figure quickly disappeared from where I was now
-
Magna looked at the scene in horror. Just a few minutes after they watched the monolith that had once been the Lion's Den completely collapse, the world began to shake...... And then it happened again
As before, the dungeon appeared. The newly appeared dungeon quickly flashed red, and a prison break from the dungeon occurred. The monsters rushed out, and he is now fighting on the front lines while trying to mitigate the damage as much as possible
"Retreat!"
When he saw that the soldiers were overwhelmed, he screamed and gave them orders. A large number of B-class monsters run wild, and a huge Titan is blocked by the A-class hunters who are left behind
The fear in his heart continued to grow as he saw more and more soldiers falling. His own strength is not enough to protect those he cares about. The screams continued as blood and blood flowed from the beast's claws or teeth
His breathing became rougher as he felt the energy in his body be low. He spends most of his time in the office and has never worked so hard. He looked at the dejected faces of his soldiers, who were pushed far away, holding on as best they could. No, he's not going to let it end like this
"Find a chance to break through!"
As he moved to the front of the defensive line, he screamed and gave another command, his body glistening in the colorful lights. He grabbed one of the soldiers and threw them behind, bearing the blows of two monsters. He will use all the strength he has left to save as many people as he can.
That's great!
Then, as the heavy stuff pierced through the armor that wrapped around his chest, he felt a deep impact, and his lips were filled with the smell of metal. His soldiers screamed and tried to get closer, but as his body was surrounded by monsters, the defense line pushed further back and couldn't get closer.
Magna looked at the twisted face of the beast with his arm clipped to his chest, memories of different eras flashing through his mind. He felt his body collapse to the ground, and the beast pulled out the hand that pierced his chest, forming a fist, and then fell again
As his clear eyes began to close, the expectation of memories and hopes for the powerful hunter who had recently traveled to the other side of the city repeated in his mind. The fist suddenly stopped as the golden sword, red lightning, and a golden light began to fall from the sky
His eyes, which were about to close, opened a little for the last time as he saw a vague figure of a man appear above them. He breathed a sigh of relief, as he hoped it wasn't an illusion, and his eyes snapped shut. Lightning and swords shoot down to meet the monster, and the light walks towards him
The golden light began to fall on him, but his eyes remained closed. A second. The third. The fourth light fell, but his eyes remained closed. The devastating lightning and golden sword reached the target on time, but the golden light did not
As more golden swords and lightning flew towards the massive monsters that still surrounded the hunter, a wild roar rang out all around.
