Chapter 666: The Real Tang Xuanzang

In the night, the stars are dim....but only the twenty-eight stars are particularly dazzling.

Under the glittering light, the twenty-eight constellations emerged with the beast appearance of the green dragon, the white tiger, the vermilion bird, and the Xuanwu.

The layman looks at the bustle, and the insider looks at the doorway.....

All present were the great powers of the Xuanmen, and Old Man Jiang suddenly saw it: "Someone is arranging a formation in all directions, corresponding to the twenty-eight constellations, and laying down a large array of four elephants!"

"Who?" The people of the Xuanmen were surprised at first, but soon they thought, "It's someone from the Spirit Bureau, who is secretly arranging a formation..."

Ten minutes later, the fog was thick and rapidly condensed.

In the darkness of the night, the fog was retracted!

"It's done," everyone in the Spiritual Bureau exclaimed, "That kid, it's really become..."

"Quick," Liu Ju hurriedly signaled, "Follow the condensed circle and go in to pick up that kid!"

"Yes," after responding, not only the people of the Spirit Adjustment Bureau, but even the Xuanmen also approached the mist with curiosity.

Every time the fog shrank an inch, they followed.

Until forty minutes later......

The evil breath retracted the celebrity monument.

"How did this kid do that?" Old Man Jiang was stunned.

And the Nalan family still disdainful: "It's not that he took advantage of our Nalan family....Seeing that our Nalan family is about to get rid of his grievances, this kid ran out."

"It's really shameless," the Chen family revealed, "Didn't you learn from the Jiang family? In the end, complaining about a junior? Do you really have the face to say ......"

"You—" The people of the Nalan family and the Chen family started to speak at that time.

Fortunately, Old Man Jiang stopped: "Okay....this matter, it's not that simple, we get rid of grievances, it's just a symptom, it is impossible to completely eliminate grievances, and this kid must have found out the cause of grievances!"

"Just him?" The Nalan family and the Chen family both scoffed....

However, the dense fog shrank in front of the celebrity monument, but it became thick and gathered for a long time.

In the fog, a voice floated in.

In front of the monument to celebrities, I burned a book and said, "In fact, what you complain about is this "Journey to the West"....so that the world will ignore the real you."

"In the Journey to the West in later generations, the Tang monk in it may make many people love and hate, appreciate it without fear of hardship, inspirational to learn the truth, and hate him for being indecisive and unclear. But the real Tang Seng in history is not like that....The prototype of Tang Seng is the Tang Dynasty monk Xuanzang, so is Xuanzang similar to the Tang Seng in Journey to the West? Let's talk about it today. Let's start with gentlemen. Soon after Tang Seng was born in Journey to the West, his parents were killed by bandits, and he was adopted by the monks of the temple and named Jiang Liuer. The name of Xuanzang's common family is Chen Yi, in 602 AD, when it was the Sui Dynasty, and he was born in a scholarly family in Yanshi, Henan. Xuanzang lost his mother at the age of five and his father at the age of ten."

"At the age of 13, he followed his second brother to become a monk in the Pure Land Temple in Luoyang. He was smart and studious, visited high-ranking monks, and his Buddhist attainments deepened. Besides, set off to the west to learn scriptures....Journey to the West said that Tang Taizong very much supported Tang Seng and him to worship as brothers, called the Jade Emperor, and personally appointed Tang Seng to go to the West to learn scriptures and send customs clearance documents.

But Xuanzang in history was actually a stowaway. At the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, the frontier was unstable, and the imperial court did not allow people to leave the country without permission for the sake of social stability. Before leaving, Xuanzang also tried to apply for customs clearance many times, but was not approved. He simply didn't do anything, and quietly got out of the customs among the victims. And this year's Xuanzang is 27 years old, and in front of him is a road to the west full of difficulties and unknowns.

In fact, in history, long before Xuanzang, many people traveled west to learn scriptures, and also brought back some Buddhist classics, so Xuanzang also had a yearning for going west to learn scriptures.

And how hard is it along the way?

In Journey to the West, it is said that Tang Seng has experienced ninety-nine eighty-one difficulties, and Xuanzang's real hardships are more amazing than those of 81 difficulties. When Xuanzang just set off, he was almost arrested many times, and once he just arrived in Liangzhou, the governor of Liangzhou received an order from the imperial court to block the border pass and prohibit westward travel

Moreover, the governor of Liangzhou already knew Xuanzang's intention to go west, and ordered him to return to Beijing immediately, but Xuanzang did not obey, but he could not get out of the city. In the end, the local Buddhist leader Huiwei monk sent two disciples to take advantage of the night to use ropes to climb over the city wall and secretly send Xuanzang out of Liangzhou City.

From this point on, Xuanzang's difficult journey has just begun. First of all, he had to pass through 800 miles of desert when he traveled west, where there was no grass on the ground, no birds on the top, no beasts on the bottom, it was a lifeless forbidden area of life, and sandstorms swept the mirage from time to time, like a ghost and a ghost bewitching Xuanzang. Because I didn't have a guide, I got lost several times, and I often couldn't find a water source, and once I didn't get a drop of water for five days and four nights."

He almost fainted in the desert several times, and in this way, Xuanzang walked out of the desert Gobi with amazing perseverance and strong will, and then he came to Gaochang Kingdom. Qu Wentai, the king of Gaochang Kingdom, believed in Buddhism and admired Xuanzang very much, he forcibly kept Xuanzang to preach in Gaochang Kingdom, and promised to be the national teacher, but Xuanzang did not waver at all, and even went on a hunger strike to express his determination to go west to learn scriptures. In the end, Lu Wentai was moved, and Xuanzang became brothers, and presented dozens of retinues of gold and silver treasures, and also wrote 24 letters to the kings of various countries along the way, hoping that they would help Xuanzang on the way west. And this is the title of the Jade Emperor's brother in Journey to the West, and the prototype of the customs clearance document.
