Patriarch Bodhi shook his head slightly: "That's not the case. However, blessings and misfortunes are relied upon, and misfortunes and blessings lurk. Sometimes, understanding is not necessarily a good thing, and misleading is not necessarily a bad thing. But you did a good job, because at least one thing is certain, he went to Beiju Luzhou, and he would never fall into the demon path like the demon lord Bo Xun in the past. ”

However, it is true that many things in the Three Realms are not very clear. Let me ask you, is the demon lord Bo Shun a monster? ”

Ao Qing thought for a moment and said, "I see...... What does Master mean is that the Demon Lord Bo Xun's Demon Dao is not a 'monster'? ”

The patriarch shook his head: "The demon of the desire realm is essentially different from the monster, and even the description of 'demon' is not very accurate. The monsters of Beiju Luzhou are also disdainful of the demon lord Bo Xun. ”

Ao Qing said: "But karma should be real, right?" Monsters do evil, trigger karma, and fall into the path of demons. That negative karma is the foundation of the demonic path. ”

The patriarch said, "Apprentice, you are wrong again. Although it is true that negative karma is a means used by the Demon Dao to bewitch mortals and even cultivators. However, for the Demon Dao, it is not the foundation. ”

Ao Qing really didn't understand this, and said respectfully: "In this case, what is the foundation of the Demon Dao?" ”

The patriarch pointed to the sky and then to the earth, but pointed to the three-star cave and said, "'Heart'." ”

The patriarch said: "Yes, is it an accident for the apprentice?" The cultivator of the demon lord Bo Xun is just the word 'heart'. But it is the way of being a teacher, and the way of the truth, different and the same. ”

"If the Buddha cultivates the 'heart'?" Ao Qing felt more and more confused.

Legend has it that Shakyamuni Buddha came to enlightenment under a Bodhi tree. And when he was enlightened, the demon lord Bo Xun was always under the Bodhi tree, fighting with him.

When I was in Xiniu Hezhou, it happened that the Taoist ancestor traveled west, and the purple qi came from the east. At that time, Bo Xun didn't want to become a Buddha as a Buddha, so he went to attack and kill, and confronted Rulai, and happened to realize the Tao under my tree. Thanks to Dao Ancestor's purple qi, both of them saw the scene of Bodhi blossoming. In this way, I realized 'bodhichitta'. It's just that everyone's bodhichitta is different, and even though they have the same origin, they have taken completely different paths. ”

When Ao Qing heard this, he suddenly realized.

It turns out that 30,000 years ago, there was such a cause!

In this way, isn't it only 30,000 years for the patriarch to attain the Tao?

No, the Bodhi Patriarch is supposed to have existed since the beginning of the world. It was only 30,000 years ago that the three religions merged and cultivated into the square inch heart realm. Moreover, for the great supernatural powers, time is inherently meaningless, once the Great Luo Heavenly Immortal is achieved, he can go back in time and return to the source.

It's not like the longer you live, the stronger you get. The Jade Rabbit of the Moon Palace has been born since the beginning of the world, isn't it also ignorant, and the mana is ordinary?

However, this is the first time Ao Qing has heard of the patriarch. Although before this, Ao Qing had many guesses about the identity of the ancestor, but now, he has a deeper understanding.

In previous lives, many people once said that Patriarch Bodhi was one of the ten disciples of the Buddha, 'Su Bodhi', which corresponds to Tang Seng. However, Ao Qing doesn't think so.

Because "Subodhi" is not actually a name. The Venerable Subodhi, one of the ten disciples of Shakyamuni, is actually called "Empty Life", and after worshipping Shakyamuni as a teacher, the Dharma name is "Good Karma", and Subodhi is actually just a title.

The beard is infinitely vast. Bodhi is wisdom. Subodhi means "great wisdom."

Vast wisdom is common in Buddhism. Therefore, it can be said to be a title, or an honorific title. Because Venerable Subodhi is good at dissolving emptiness, he is called Subodhi. It's as if the golden cicada represents transformation, not that his body is a golden cicada.

Let's take another example from the Buddhist scriptures, the relics in the "Heart Sutra" are the relics that "are the empty phase of the Dharma, unborn and imperishable, not dirty and impure, not increased or decreased", in fact, it is not the relics in the ordinary people's cognition, but the "relics" among the ten disciples of the Buddha. Because Sariputta's eyes are particularly bright, like a relic bird, he is named Sariputta, also known as a relic.

After the monk passed away, the relics emitted firelight, so they were also called relics. You can't say that these relics are all Sariputta, right?

Therefore, there is nothing wrong with the Bodhi Patriarch calling "Su Bodhi" in itself. Because he himself is also synonymous with "great wisdom".

In addition, the three teachings of the Bodhi Patriarch are one, and the image, knowledge, and supernatural powers are also very different from those of Su Bodhi. Therefore, compared to Su Bodhi, Ao Qing is more inclined to be the "Bodhi tree" that ignites the Buddha.

Of course, it is not ruled out that it is because Patriarch Bodhi thought that after Sun Wukong was expelled from the school in the future, he might worship Tang Seng as a teacher. Therefore, it is deliberately said that the woodcutter said that he "called Su Bodhi", this ambiguous title. lest Sun Wukong worship Tang Seng as a teacher, and make himself a generation shorter out of thin air.

This is also possible. In fact, since the woodcutter said "name Su Bodhi", the word "Su" has not been mentioned at the end of the original text, it is all said "Bodhi Patriarch".
