Chapter 21 Drawing Comics in DC
CHAPTER XXI
Stepping on the land of Gotham, Diana looked curiously.
The streets are crowded with busy workers, wearing all kinds of shirts and suspenders, carrying all kinds of things.
From time to time, there are also high-class people passing by, but they often sit in elegant carriages and do not see their real faces.
At the moment, it seems that it is no different from other cities, except for its unique architecture.
If there was one word to describe the city in front of her, Diana would use "prosperity."
It is a thriving, vibrant city. There also seems to be a spectacular bridge in the distance that has just been completed.
As for Diana's assessment, Peter cannot be denied. Without a prosperous foundation, how could it be possible to breed so many crimes and raise so many gangsters in the following decades.
"What are we going to do next?" Diana asked, following Peter.
Peter led her around the streets, and came to the door of a somewhat dilapidated newspaper, and said:
"First things first, buy it."
"Huh?" Diana looked at the tabloid office in front of her that was on the verge of bankruptcy and posted an advertisement for transfer, and then looked at Black Superman, frowning slightly,
She really couldn't figure out the connection between the two.
Seeing that Black Superman had pushed open the door of the newspaper office and walked in, Diana could only hurriedly follow.
The layout of the newspaper office was sloppy, with printing equipment scattered around, and a raunchy, haggard-looking man hunched over his desk writing something.
Seeing the two of them coming in, he was stunned for a moment before asking, "Who are you?" β
"Seeing that there is a transfer letter posted outside, we are interested in acquiring your newspaper."
When the man heard this, a warm and flattering smile appeared on his face for a moment.
This newspaper is a man's ancestral business, and although it has been tepid, it is generally reasonable.
It's just that after he took over, the business was not doing well, and the operation of the newspaper became more and more difficult, and he even quit two hired helpers to reduce costs.
The recent expansion of the gangs into the neighborhood has made the already not wealthy newspaper even worse, and it is completely unsustainable.
The transfer notice outside was just based on the idea of a dead horse being a live horse doctor, after all, he didn't expect that any wronged man would really take over.
I didn't expect it to be really endless!
Things were handed over very smoothly, and during this time, points were swiped everywhere, as long as Peter wanted to, there was no need to worry about money at all, it was just a matter of convenience.
And the man has long wanted to get out of this mess, and he is very cooperative.
On that day alone, Peter took ownership of the newspaper.
"Is there really no problem?" After the man left, Diana asked worriedly.
Even she could roughly see the various problems accumulated by this newspaper, and it was not a wise choice no matter how you look at it.
"All the problems are not problems for us, Diana." Peter said.
Black Superman's words made Diana feel at ease, and the man in front of him can always easily settle many insurmountable difficulties.
So, she then asked, "So what are we going to do now?" β
"It's not what we do, it's what you're going to do."
"Huh?" Diana tilted her head, a puzzled expression.
Peter said, "I'll ask you to clean up the newspaper." β
Although it seems a bit wasteful to use Wonder Woman to do chores, who made the other party his tool now.
β......β
Diana took a deep breath and glared at Peter angrily, but obediently stepped forward to clean up.
However, as the princess of the Amazon, although Diana is not pampered, she is far from being able to do chores.
This caused her to stumble, and it took her a long time to barely clean and tidy up the newspaper.
When faced with Peter's examination, she was inevitably a little unconfident for a while.
Fortunately, Peter didn't make it difficult for her, but just said, "Come on next time." β
Diana breathed a sigh of relief and made up her mind to get acquainted with these chores as soon as possible!
And Peter, who was on the side, had already taken advantage of this time to prepare all the tools he needed.
Diana looked closer, and saw that it was all paper, pens, and paint.
"Do you want to paint?" Diana asked.
Peter had already begun to draw something on the paper and replied, "Half right." β
"What's that other half?"
When there was nothing to do, Diana also dragged a chair over and sat aside and asked curiously.
"Comics."
"Comics?"
In this era, although comics have long appeared, they can only be regarded as new and niche industries, often only published in some blank spaces in newspapers, in a vassal form.
The content of the comics is also mostly based on some interesting anecdotes in the real market, divided into frames and frames, and it is more appropriate to say that it is a comic, but in fact, it is more appropriate to call it a comic book.
No matter how Diana says, she is just a novice who has just entered human society, and she is just getting used to how to wear clothes, how can she know comics.
Fortunately, Peter has the speed of a speeder, coupled with a biological force field that does not speak of science, and soon, the finished comics are quickly out of his hands.
For the average author, it takes days or even weeks to create content, and with the blessing of his super brain and super speed, it can be done in a matter of seconds.
Diana was used to the speed of Black Superman, so she just hurriedly picked up the first comic and looked at it fixedly.
"Iron Man Tony? Stark? β
She soon discovered that comics were all about telling stories in the form of pictures.
And the first comic drawn by Black Superman is the story of a futuristic world, a rich second generation named Tony Stark, a playboy, an arms dealer who becomes a superhero, and saves those who are persecuted by weapons and war.
In this day and age, people didn't have much idea of superheroes, including Diana, but she soon discovered that
Isn't the so-called superhero a bit like Black Superman and her?
And the war, they also ended just one.
She has a fast sense of substitution all of a sudden, and the story itself is also very interesting, the picture is excellent, and it is interesting to watch.
It wasn't until she saw the end of this issue that she came back to her senses and hurriedly asked Peter,
"And then? What's going on next? β
The story happens to be out of context when Tony becomes Iron Man and reveals that his uncle turned out to be the culprit in his kidnapping.
The naΓ―ve Diana has tried this kind of taste, and the sense of expectation is hooked up all of a sudden, and because it is out of context, the whole person can't go up or down, which is very uncomfortable.
Peter looked at her itchy appearance in the broken context, and said with a smile:
"No, that's all for the first issue."
"How can it be gone! I still want to know what's next, draw quickly! Diana couldn't help but pestered Peter:
"You just drew this comic in less than two seconds, and you can keep drawing it all the time in a day!"
Peter raised an eyebrow,
Are you really good, you really don't want to give me any time to rest?
