Chapter 2 Sadness College Entrance Examination
Standing outside the examination room, Zhu Zijun felt his body trembling uncontrollably.
The June sun in the south was already very scorching, the water in his body was almost evaporated, and the sweat was like a snake snaking away, exploring and sliding down the inside of his shirt, and his hand holding the pen tightly also oozed dense beads of sweat. As if not to be left behind, long-lost tears suddenly appeared, instantly moistening his eyes.
Every day and night of 12 years of hard work has come to an end in this way.
Surrounded by strange people, some elated, some depressed. Outside the examination room, there were many parents who were looking forward to it, watching the candidates swarming out, looking for their children. This heavy expectation made the examination room even more depressing.
Zhu Zijun lowered his head and smiled embarrassedly, as if he felt that someone was peeping at him, pretending to wipe his sweat and taking the opportunity to wipe away the tears in his eyes.
He failed. He became one of the thousands of failed college entrance exams.
The process of failure is ashamed of itself in the face of the score, like a scar, and people don't care about the origin of the scar, but only cast a sneering or disgusted glance at the scar. This glimpse is more hurtful than a scar. What else can be done, just hide this scar deeply, and let it be a secret that no one knows.
Zhu Zijun suddenly felt that there was someone behind him, and when he looked back, it was Liu Feng.
Liu Feng's eyes cast a cautious and inquiring look, Zhu Zijun nodded, and at that moment, the hearts of the two of them were equally sad.
Liu Feng said: "What are your specific plans? β
Zhu Zijun shook his head: "No, let's stay at home for a while first." β
"Okay, I'll come to see you when I'm free, and call me if you're at home." Liu Feng patted Zhu Zijun's shoulder and said.
"Okay, no problem." Zhu Zijun looked outside the examination room, where there was a face anxiously waiting for Liu Feng, so he gently pushed him, "Let's go, your mother has been waiting for a long time." β
Liu Feng smiled weirdly: "You have to take advantage of the opportunity, otherwise, you will never have a chance - she is here." After saying that, he ran away.
Zhu Zijun hurriedly turned around and saw Doudou coming over, with a relaxed and lovely smile on her face, Zhu Zijun guessed that she might do well in the exam.
Sure enough, Doudou felt that she was sure that she would be admitted to the school she wanted to study, and she said briskly: "I think, it should be fine." Her tone was filled with the joy of a successful person.
"How are you?" Doudou seemed to sense that Zhu Zijun was a little abnormal.
Zhu Zijun shook his head gloomily, Doudou wanted to hold his hand and comfort him, but everyone who walked by seemed to be secretly looking at the two of them, which made her feel flustered. Doudou hesitated for a moment, then retracted his hand that stretched out a little distance forward, fiddling with the corners of his clothes uneasily.
"It's okay, even if you fail the college entrance examination, it's not the end of the world, isn't there still two years left in 2012?" Zhu Zijun smiled lightly.
Doudou asked, "Are you going to repeat it?" β
Zhu Zijun shook his head and replied, "I don't have this plan, I don't want my parents to suffer anymore." β
Doudou wanted to tell him some great truths about the future, but she couldn't, she only felt sad in her heart.
Zhu Zijun and Doudou are from the same township, and the two families are less than 100 meters apart, but Zhu Zijun's parents are authentic farmers, and Doudou is the daughter of the township chief.
The two walked side by side to the bus station to take the bus home, and rarely spoke along the way, silently looking out the window.
The wind poured in through the car window, blowing Doudou's long hair fluttering, Zhu Zijun's mood also soared, and scenes like slides flashed in his mind, with joy and sadness, and the expression on his face fluctuated and changed.
Doudou suddenly asked, "What are you thinking?" β
Zhu Zijun came back to his senses and replied: "Thinking about some things in a mess, I suddenly feel that the twelve years of student life is also very short, I seem to remember what happened in kindergarten, but in a blink of an eye, the college entrance examination is over." β
Doudou pursed his lips and smiled, two cute little dimples looming, "You have a good memoryβby the way, why didn't you bring back your guitar, aren't you going to continue practicing?" β
Zhu Zijun said: "I can't practice at home, the failure of the college entrance examination is already a big blow to my parents, and I have to make noise for them, they will not be able to stand it, let's talk about it later." β
The two chatted softly, forgetting the setback of failing the college entrance examination for a while.
After about an hour and a half, I finally got home, got out of the car, the two looked at each other, and suddenly felt a little reluctant.
Zhu Zijun looked at Doudou's home, which was the seat of the township government, and there was a high fence built on the outside, isolated from the outside. For ordinary people, it is a forbidden land that they envy and awe.
Zhu Zijun whispered: "Go home, your parents are waiting for you." β
Doudou walked towards home according to his words, walked a few steps, and suddenly turned around and said, "You can go back too." β
Only then did Zhu Zijun realize that he had been looking at Doudou's back, and he couldn't help but have a fever on his face, and nodded hurriedly.
Doudou glanced around and saw that several people were probing their heads to this direction, so she quickly turned around, walking faster and faster, and at last she almost trotted. She didn't know why she was running, but she couldn't control her pace.
When she got home, Doudou pushed the door open and saw her mother sitting on the sofa watching TV, so she yelled: "Mom-"
Her mother was almost frightened by the sudden roar and had a nervous breakdown, but Doudou knew that catharsis was the best way to release mental tension.
