Chapter 32: Attitudes Return to Normal
When he came to the cafeteria, Louis soon saw Hermione sitting there, but he frowned, because he only saw Hermione alone, and everyone around him was chatting with the people next to him, but no one went to talk to Hermione.
He sat down next to Hermione, and a dinner appeared on the table in front of him.
"You're back?" Hermione was a little surprised that Louis hadn't come back so early from Professor McGonagall's before.
"Why are you alone?" Louis asked.
It's just that Hermione rolled her eyes when she heard him.
"It's not thanks to what you did before, you took me to the dueling club without consulting everyone."
"Maybe you didn't feel anything wrong at first, but did you read the rules of the Dueling Club?"
"Is that so?" Louis roughly understood why, "So, everyone is blaming us for everything?" β
"It's obvious, isn't it?" Hermione sighed, "You don't like to learn, and it seems that it was all because of what Weasley said after the two of us went in. β
"The others joined in to prevent others from thinking that Gryffindor was in conflict, only to find out that it took so much time."
"On the way back, I also heard a lot of people complaining about it there, alas~"
"So, you regret it too?"
Louis asked Hermione with a smile, actually a little apprehensive, and he was also a little afraid of encountering a different answer than what he had in mind.
"Regrets? What's going on in your head again! I'm not them, I can learn spells when I go to a fight club, and besides, even if I can't learn anything, even if I just accompany you to give you a good rest, it's no problem, you really don't give yourself a little time to rest, do you? β
Hermione was a little angry, mainly because Louis would suspect that she was not on his side, and after knowing about the runes, she realized that Louis seemed to be learning all the time.
I didn't have time to study with her, I'm afraid I'm all studying runes, right?
How can you do this without giving yourself time to rest?
Louis was stunned when he heard Hermione's words, but after a while, looking at Hermione's somewhat angry look, he laughed.
"You're still laughing! I'm really full of gas! Hermione really didn't know what to say, and Louis was still giggling there.
"Alright."
Louis directly took Hermione's hand, but Hermione shook it off at once, and Louis held it again, holding on tightly to prevent her from getting rid of her.
"I'll deal with this matter, let's not talk about it now, do you want to hear the good news I tell you?" Louis said softly.
"Cut, who wants to listen." Hermione said so, but her erratic eyes had betrayed her completely.
"Poof." Louis couldn't hold back and laughed.
Seeing that Hermione wanted to shake him off again, he quickly whispered in Hermione's ear, "Professor McGonagall is going to hold a banquet for me." β
"Really?!" Hermione stood up excitedly.
Everyone in the restaurant looked at her, which embarrassed her, and then sat down slowly, and then pinched Louis who was snickering.
"You didn't lie to me, did you?"
She still couldn't believe it, mainly because it was too fast, less than two months after Professor McGonagall had taken Luis.
Normally, the fastest one will have a six-month inspection period.
Louis blinked: "Is it good for me to lie to you?" β
βniceοΌβ Hermione made a small celebratory gesture with a small fist clench, "At what time?" β
"Next week's weekend."
"Great, no matter what you do in the future, it will definitely be very smooth!" Hermione happily thought about Louis, and even forgot about her previous unhappiness for a while.
Looking at the smile on Hermione's face, Louis knew that this was going to be the case, and went on to say something even bigger for Hermione.
"I'll take you with me!"
"What? No, no, I'd better not go, it will distract other people from you. β
To Louis's surprise, Hermione first showed a moment of joy on her face when she heard the news, and then quickly hid it, and sincerely asked Louis not to go.
Louis frowned.
Seeing this, Hermione thought that Louis insisted on taking her, so she hurriedly persuaded again:
"Really, Louis, don't take me there, taking me there will definitely distract other people from you, I'm your sister, and if they find out about me, they might put some of their minds on me."
Louis knew that it wasn't Hermione's conceit, but that it was, and that Hermione's current level of spells could be said to be the strongest in their class.
"Cut, what are you thinking, don't be narcissistic, okay, if we were both older, this might happen, but we're both so young now. The most important thing is that you also need to be asked about your situation, and I guess the most I can do is to introduce you to each other, right? β
Louis said this deliberately, he didn't want to have a banquet for himself while his sister wasn't there.
But Hermione laughed to herself when she heard this, "That's right, I'm thinking too much." β
Louis secretly said that it was not good, but he didn't feel that there was nothing wrong with Hermione emotionally.
And Louis saw that Percy had just walked out, as if thinking of something, and said to Hermione, "I'll go to the bathroom." β
Hermione didn't doubt him, but it was only after Louis left that a look of envy appeared in her eyes.
Outside, Louis saw that Percy was about to go away, and immediately shouted, "Percy, wait! At the same time, he ran to him.
Percy stopped, and then Louis whispered to him for a while, he frowned at first, but then Louis seemed to say something again, Percy showed a shocked look, and then immediately patted his chest and said something, and finally the two separated from each other.
Back in the dining room, Hermione's demeanor had returned to her previous appearance, and Louis continued to eat dinner with her, just talking and not bothering to eat.
It's just that this meal, which lasted for almost an hour, still made Hermione finally unbearable.
"Luis, why do you have to eat for 47 minutes today!"
"Ahem, eat well, eat well."
Louis hurriedly said, but he had another thing in mind, and said secretly: Percy should have called everyone up, right?
Then the two of them returned to the lounge, and found such a scene, the people who participated in the dueling club today were in the common room, as if waiting for something, and when Louis walked into the room, everyone present looked at him.
Hermione stood nervously in front of Louis, "What are you going to do?" β
At this time, she felt the strength and voice coming from behind her, "Hermione, I asked Percy to call everyone over. β
Hermione frowned: "Louis ......"
"Luis, alright, now that everyone is here, what do you want to say?" Ron said in a bad tone:
"It's impossible for Percy to gather us together just to keep us looking at you, right?"
Louis gave Hermione a reassuring look, stepped forward, and replied, "Of course not. Then he looked around and saw that everyone was here, so he said with a serious expression:
"Since everyone is here, I'll be blunt."
"I know that some people may be irritated about joining the Dueling Club today, and feel that the Dueling Club is too tired to complain there, but these should be your own choices, right?
I remember Professor Snape had warned everyone that it would take up a lot of your time.
It's obviously your own choice, and even if you want to complain, it shouldn't be me and my sister. β
Some of the people present were said to have missed their minds, and when they thought of their attitude in the afternoon, they immediately lowered their heads in shame.
"Also, I know some people would think that if it weren't for me and Hermione, you wouldn't be in the dueling club. But if you join now, if you quit, you'll leave a bad image with Professor McGonagall, right? β
"In that case, if any of you want to withdraw, I'll give your withdrawal application to Professor Snape. And help you explain it to Professor McGonagall. I promise Professor McGonagall will not have a bad image of you! β
"But at the same time, don't you all complain about Hermione and me anymore, is there a problem?"
"I have, how can you guarantee that Professor McGonagall is ......" Before Ron could finish his words, Louis immediately interrupted, "Professor McGonagall is my 'teacher', is that enough to guarantee?" β
Everyone present was silent.
Louis thought for a moment and then said, "You can come to me privately, until Tuesday." I'll take care of this by Tuesday. β
With that, Louis went straight back to the dormitory, and of course let Hermione go back.
The Gryffindor common room was entangled in a heated discussion immediately after Louis left.
On Monday, everyone's attitude towards the Granger siblings was back to normal. Except, of course, one who has been blinded by jealousy.
It wasn't until 0:00 on Tuesday that Louis found out that no one had come to him, which made him wonder for a moment, but when he thought about it, it seemed that they were the best choice when it didn't happen, but it didn't matter if they didn't come to him.
Anyway, the matter has been settled, and everyone's attitude towards them has returned to normal, and that is enough. As for the individual two, when he loses patience, that is when those people fall into the abyss.
