Chapter 86: Harry's Dream
Dumbledore looked down at the note in his hand, looked up and said, "He's fine, let's go see him, Gildero, you're doing well, the Ministry of Magic doesn't know what's going on." β
"How do you get there?" Fred asked, shuddering, "the fireplace?"
"No," said Dumbledore, "it's not safe to use the fireplace now, the fireplace network is already being monitored, and you go with the portkey in Gildero's hand." He pointed to the old kettle in Lockhart's hand, "Have you all used a portkey before?"
They all nodded, and then each reached out and touched a portion of the charred black kettle, "That's good, then wait for me to count to three...... One...... 2. ......"
At this moment, Lockhart looked at Harry and saw that Harry's face was distorted, and his eyes flashed red, as if he wanted to attack him.
As soon as his feet touched the ground, Lockhart hurriedly took out his wand, stood up and retreated, and they were already in the dark basement kitchen of 12 Grimo Place. The only light source in the room, the fireplace, and a flickering candle. Cretcher was leaving the door to the hall, lifting his belt and glaring back at them hatefully. Cyris and Lupin Moody were waiting for them in a drink.
"Gildero, what's wrong with you. Moody asked, looking at Lockhart suspiciously. "How did you find out? β
"Harry. Fred said.
"Tell me about it, Harry. Tonks winked at Harry.
"Yes, I'll hear it too," said George.
Everyone looked at Harry, and outside, Crecher's footsteps stopped on the stairs.
"That--" Harry began, "I have a ......-like-vision"
Harry then told them what he saw, except that he modified the story to make it sound more like he was standing next to the snake and saw the event than with the snake's eyes. Ron, still pale, gave Harry a quick look, but said nothing. When Harry finished speaking, Fred, George, and Ginny continued to glare at him for a while.
"Dumbledore, do you know what's going on. Moody asked.
"I'll discuss some ideas with Gilderoy and Severus later. Dumbledore said lightly.
"Where's Mommy?" said Fred, turning to Thyrus.
"She was taking care of Arthur at St. Mungo," Cyris said. "When Arthur wakes up, we'll visit him. β
"Go now!" said Ginny anxiously, turning her head to look at her brothers, who were of course still in their pajamas, "Can you give us coats and cloaks or something?"
"Okay, I'll get you some clothes. Lockhart said, standing up.
"Thank you, Professor. Ginny stood up and hugged Lockhart, then ran up to Harry and kissed him, "And you, Harry, you saved our dad." β
Harry blushed, he hadn't kissed Ginny in front of so many adults.
"When did you guys stay together. Tonks asked with interest.
"As soon as the semester started, I told Harry that I liked him!" said Ginny proudly, "Harry doesn't hate me either, does he." β
Ron still looked angry, he had no idea when Harry and his sister had started.
"That's right," Tonks said encouragingly, "that's how Gryffindors should be in love, you see Hermione, she's just a step slower." β
"Don't talk about that!" Lockhart walked down the stairs with a pile of clothes, helplessly overhearing their conversation.
Harry picked up the wine on the table and drank it. If it weren't for him, they wouldn't be here at all, they were all sleeping in their beds. Although his warning ensured that they could find Mr. Weasley in time, telling him this over and over again did not make him feel any better, not to mention the fact that he could not escape: he could not have been the one who had attacked Mr. Weasley.
"Harry, what are you thinking, hurry up and get dressed, let's go see Daddy. Ginny looked at Harry strangely.
Harry continued to think uneasily, and then he also felt the urge to attack the Headmaster and Professor Lockhart. β
"Tonks took the Weasleys kids to St Mungo, and Harry stayed. Moody spoke.
"Why, Harry saved Daddy, he should have gone too!" Ginny said dissatisfied.
"Arthur hasn't woken up yet, we can use this time to get a look. Moody glanced at Ginny.
"Let's go, kids. "Tonks took the Weasleys kids with him.
The rest walked into the conference room and sat down.
"Harry, tell me what's going on with the snake. Moody's eyes were on Harry.
"What's the situation?" said Harry in a flustered voice.
"Harry, no matter what happens, we'll be on your side. Lockhart tried to be as kind as he could.
He succeeded, and the positive image that had long been in Harry's mind played a role at this time, not to mention that Harry's godfather, Cyris Black, was also here, which made Harry decide to confess......
Harry confessed every detail of his hallucination, and made no secret that he was the snake that attacked Mr. Weasley.
"Don't be stupid, kid, you can't be the snake. Sires breathed a sigh of relief.
"But that's not all," said Harry, his voice only a little heavier than breathing, "I...... I think I'm going crazy, in Dumbledore's office, just before we hold the portkey...... For a second or two, I thought I was the snake, I felt like I was a snake -- the scars hurt when I looked at the President and Professor Lockhart -- especially Professor Lockhart! I hated him to the extreme! I wanted to bite him!"
"Really, fake. Lockhart was shocked, could it be that Voldemort had remembered himself, but maybe he was used to the fact that he was a Order of the Phoenix, maybe Dumbledore had done something to his spirit, and he didn't even think of running away immediately.
"It must be a residual reaction after the hallucination, that's all," Syreth said, "and you're still thinking about that dream, or whatever you want to call it, andβ"
"It's not like that," said Harry, shaking his head, "I'm the snake!"
"Harry, I know what's going on, you trust me," Lockhart said to Harry firmly, "you're not the snake, we'll find a solution later, now, you need to go and rest." β
After Harry left, Blake grabbed Lockhart's arm: "Gildero, you have a way to solve this problem, right." β
"It should be possible," Lockhart tried to make his words sound like speculation, "I guess it was that attack that left Voldemort's mental imprint on Harry's scars, and it could affect Harry's feelings." β
"Occlumency. Moody spat out a word, "Since the Longbottoms, the Department of Magical Enforcement has required all Aurors to master Occlumency. As far as I know, Dumbledore, Snape, and you little Gildero, you're all very good at farming, aren't you? β
Blake looked at Lockhart, as if waiting for his response.
"Yes, in fact, Severus practiced best, you know, and he had to hide his thoughts from the mysterious people when necessary. β
Blake let go of his grip on Lockhart, "There's no doubt that Harry would prefer to learn from you, Gildero, please." β
"If Harry is willing to learn, I'll do my best to teach him. Lockhart assured Blake.
"Alright, let's go rest. Moody yawned, "Next time it won't be a snake." β
