Section 13: Mechanics and Main Lines
The shepherd walked in the direction of the mountain. His gait is brisk and his body is strong. Because he was not an ordinary shepherd, he had been Pharaoh's general long ago.
At that time, the Hebrews were not as unpopular with Egypt as they are now. Their position in the kingdom of Egypt was quite powerful.
Joseph of the Hebrews even represented Pharaoh's scepter, patrolling and shepherding the earth for Pharaoh like an eastern minister. He also promoted many Hebrews to important positions in various regions and wielded much power.
But that's in the past.
Maybe it's because the Hebrews like to hold together too much, or maybe it's because the Hebrews value goods too much. Perhaps it was because the Hebrews were reluctant to worship the gods of Egypt...... In conclusion, the Hebrews became less and less popular over time. The bureaucrats were dismissed, the merchants were expelled, and the main city was not allowed to come and go as they pleased, and certainly not to seize the land of the Egyptians.
It's all possible—but only Moses would think so. Because he was more far-sighted, he learned many things on the battlefield.
With the exception of Moses, the rest of the Hebrews probably only thought that the Egyptians were jealous of their abilities.
Stupid kindred.
But no matter how stupid and short-sighted he was, he was also a fellow of Moses.
He circled his herd, and although the foot of Mount Sinai was long, he walked easily. On the way, he met a group of passing travelers, who seemed to be coming from the east, and beyond. There is something strange about their clothing and dress.
- There is no point in killing Moses.
- The prophet must have appeared, and it was not him who would have become Moses.
- There is no point in killing all the Hebrews, at least, not now.
- But maybe you can try it.
The travelers were friendly, they talked to the shepherds cordially, and there was a touch of relaxation. The shepherds and the shepherds talked to them for a while before parting, and the travelers seemed to want to visit the pharaoh in Egypt, claiming to have the ability to manipulate magic. And at the time of separation, they also left several precious souvenirs for the shepherd.
- Failed.
- Killing him will also resurrect him instantly. His memories are erased, modified, and his status is instantly refreshed. Even if you banish him directly to another dimension or even throw him to the moon, he will reappear in his place...... However, interference that does not affect his mission will not be immediately corrected and restored to its original state.
- So, give him an ornament that doesn't have a spell effect, but has a special meaning. It's a secret hand and doesn't need to be left with much attention.
The travelers are gone.
The shepherd rubbed his head, wondering if it had been too hard lately. He always felt a little dizzy. The sky became dark and gloomy unconsciously, but he didn't expect that he had spent so much time chatting.
He put away the gifts left by the travelers—a trinket that suited his liking. The weight is quite heavy, and if it had been made of silver, it might have been able to make thirty silver coins.
He moved on.
And when the sun went down, he came to the front of Mount Sinai—a silent barren mountain in one of his eyes. In the other eye, however, the mountain was in flames.
Pure white flame, sacred flame.
In the midst of the flames, the spirit of the gods dwells.
"Here you go." God's will proclaims to him. "Take off your shoes and come out into this clearing. For the place where you have set foot is a holy place. And the covenant I made with the people of the past will now be fulfilled. ”
Ahhweh had made a covenant with the ancestors of the Hebrews, who had a leader named Abraham. He worshipped Ahweh so much that he even tied the child Isaac to the altar as a burnt offering to Ahhweh when he tempted his devotion.
Ahhweh did not accept the sacrifice, but Ahhweh made a covenant with him. The land of Canaan was promised to Abraham's descendants, and his descendants became the Hebrew tribe.
So the shepherd did so, and then he received divine revelation.
………………………………
The travelers arrived in Egypt—they did not immediately go to Pharaoh's palace, but examined the Hebrew settlement. And just as the Hebrews were not popular with the Egyptians, so as the travelers were not very popular with the Hebrews as visitors from the more distant East.
Petty theft is normal, and a few idle fellows even secretly prepared weapons to rob this group of unfamiliar outsiders. Because Egyptian soldiers did not patrol the Hebrew settlements very often, they did not cause much movement when they made a move.
- Would you like to give it a try?
- I don't like this group of goods.
- Whatever, but don't get your hopes up.
- Also, I perceive the divine power of the Egyptian gods, but there is no very strong power entity in this kingdom.
- Maybe we can play the role of these lost gods.
The amateur robbers' eyes suddenly turned white, and they picked up their weapons and plunged them into their necks—they fell to the ground bleeding profusely, and then there was a scream all around, and the chaotic crowd ran noisily in all directions.
"They did it! Those outsiders, they killed people! "The Hebrews noticed the travelers, took up their weapons, and rushed at them with great vigour. And the next moment, above the sky, red clouds gathered.
Meteor Burst, Nine-Ring Plasticity. This thing is certainly a shame for plastic energy, but in this day and age, a single shot can wipe a settlement of thousands of people off the map.
- There's no need to be so aggressive, just expel them.
The meteor explosion that was about to take shape quietly dissipated. Instead, whispers echoed in the ears of thousands of Hebrews.
- "Get out of here, get out of this city." Go to other countries, and don't stay in the land of Egypt. ”
This whisper was so persuasive that it filled the hearts of all Hebrews in an instant. They looked at each other, then thuded and walked in all directions. Bring your valuables and get away from the crowds of Egypt to gather into a few tides.
Everything went smoothly.
The Egyptian soldiers panicked to report to the Pharaoh, but the populace was glad that the uninvited guests were leaving. Pharaohs were perplexed by the Hebrew movements, and an army of investigation and recourse was about to gather.
And then......
The Hebrews, who were about to leave Egypt, suddenly reappeared in the settlement. They didn't notice anything about the previous incident, they just went about their daily lives, and then, screaming.
Because the bodies of those amateur robbers did not disappear.
And Pharaoh's army is about to arrive here.
- I guess you understand the mechanics here...... Not?
One of the travelers suddenly shifted his gaze towards the north. And this moment is when the shepherd receives divine revelation.
