Chapter 013: Spy
Commander Ye propped his arms on the case, took a lazy and light reclining posture, and saw that Wei Shu was still sluggish, and raised a pair of long eyebrows.
Although he was dressed in women's clothes, this raised eyebrow had the meaning of a gentleman's style, but his next words were neither gentlemanly nor romantic:
"What are you looking at? Don't be in a daze, where is the topographic map? Did you get your hands on it? ”
Quite impatiently, the cool breeze sent into the ear drum, Wei Shu woke up like a dream, and suddenly felt that he had just lost his temper, and hurriedly turned his eyes away, no longer looking at the face that was suitable for men and women, but said in his heart:
This person's attitude is blunt, and he points directly to the topographic map when he opens his mouth, indifferent to the life and death of the broken army, which shows that his heart is cold, but his behavior is a little moody, and it is not easy to deal with.
Thinking of this section, Wei Shu had already condensed his spirit, lowered his head, and said in a very small voice: "I got the topographic map, but now I am not there...... Not in my hands. ”
When she said this, the fog in her mind suddenly dispersed again, and she remembered the name of this strange man: Ye Fei.
Immediately afterwards, the origins of Ye Fei and Zhou Shang also appeared in Wei Shu's mind little by little.
The two of them were actually spies who infiltrated White Frost City from the hinterland of the Central Plains!
This astonishing news almost shocked Wei Shu's jaw again, and her brain was completely messed up, and it took a long time to finally sort things out.
Let's start with White Frost City.
As Wei Shu had guessed before, this White Frost City was indeed a barbarian land, and it was an important town under the rule of the "Jin Kingdom" north of the Central Plains.
Because it is located in the southernmost part of the Jin Kingdom, and the border of the Central Plains is only 100 miles away, so the White Frost City has another nickname, called "Baili City".
As for the situation in the Central Plains, Wei Shu also slowly recalled something.
Today's Central Plains country name is Song, the year name is Jingchu, and the country surname is Li. It has been more than 40 years since the founding of the Great Song Dynasty, and it is now the second year of the early Jing Dynasty.
As for the "big beam" of Wei Shu's life in his previous life, Aqisi didn't know about it, and Zhou and Ye didn't mention it.
Let's go back to the country of gold.
At first, the Jin people were only a small alien race, living by grazing, and the tribe lived in pursuit of water and grass. Later, the Jin clan produced a male lord and annexed many other ethnic groups, and the Jin clan also grew. When the grazing could no longer feed the tribesmen, the Jin people began to harass the neighboring Great Song Dynasty, often looting grain and Dingkou.
Twenty years ago, the Jin people attacked with the strength of the whole clan, and the defenders of the Great Song Dynasty were not effective, so they retreated again and again, giving up thousands of miles of fertile land in the northern region.
Since then, there have been wars on the border between the two countries from time to time, and there has been no interruption for 20 years, and every few years there will be a big war, either Jin and Song, or Song and Jin, and the focus of the two countries is the large plain located more than 100 miles outside the city of Baishuang.
In fact, the White Frost City was originally the territory of the Song Kingdom, and its name was not the current one, but called the "Silver City", which was famous for its abundance of silver mines.
The raid twenty years ago not only caused the Great Song Dynasty to lose a large part of the country, but also caused the Yincheng to be captured by the Jin army, the defenders were killed in battle, the defenders were annihilated, and there was not a single one of the people in the city.
The surviving people of the Great Song Dynasty were not treated well by the people of the Jin Kingdom.
After breaking through the silver city, the Jin army hated that the city was difficult to attack, so they first burned and plundered it, and then drove the only remaining Song people in the city to the north of the city, carved out a place, and kept them in captivity like livestock.
These Song people could only live in a small area of less than 30 miles in a radius of less than 30 miles, and their descendants could only be slaves of the Jin people forever, and the Jin people gave them a name, called "Mu Na Heitai", which means "people who are inferior to pigs and dogs".
In the Great Song Dynasty, they were called "slaves".
Go to the country and leave your homeland, and be a slave pitifully.
This name, which is homophonic with the tanuki slave, may imply a trace of compassion for the exiled people of the old country.
Although Aqisi is also a slave, she is not the same as those slaves, because she does not have the tattoo word "Mu Naheitai" on her body.
However, in the eyes of the people of Jinguo, there is no difference between whether there is a tattoo or not.
As for Aqisi's slave body, it seems that she is also pretending, and as for its true origin, Wei Shu still does not know.
After taking the Silver City, the greedy gold people wanted to get as much silver as frost and snow, so they renamed it White Frost City. And the abundant mineral resources have indeed made the gold people rich.
They soon established the current Jin State, which became increasingly powerful and faintly rivaled the Great Song Dynasty.
As far as Aqisi knows, Ye Fei and Zhou Shang infiltrated behind enemy lines this time, in addition to spying on the military intelligence of the Jin State, they also shouldered the heavy responsibility of "doing everything possible to disrupt the rear baggage of the Jin army".
From this point of view, it seems that the Great Song Dynasty did not want to start a war with the Jin State, at least not in the short term.
When recalling this, Wei Shu immediately made the above inference, and listed several possibilities for reluctance to go to war:
the treasury is empty; There were other voices in the court; The emperor was worried and cowardly; The army did not listen to the dispatch.
It has only been two years since the beginning of the Jing Dynasty, and the new emperor has not been on the throne for a long time, so everything must have not been straightened out. Those courtiers don't have other skills, but the means of passing the buck to each other and disobeying each other are all exquisite, and if the emperor can't come up with the means to suppress them, they can turn against the sky for you.
Wei Shu can be regarded as having experienced the three dynasties firsthand, and under the cold watch, she knows all the difficulties faced by the new emperor when he ascends the throne, just like she spent a lot of effort to straighten out the court.
It's a pity that Aqisi doesn't know much about national affairs, and even if Zhou and Ye knew, it was unlikely that they would talk to her, so Wei Shu could only guess wildly.
In addition to the above, Akisi also remembered one thing, that is, Ye and Erren were not alone, but had other helpers.
Among these gang were Song slaves from various provinces who were said to be moved like Akisi and Po Jun, as well as Great Song "spies" who were lurking in the White Frost City (note).
The so-called "spy", Wei Shu herself has never heard of it, but Akisi knows a lot about it, so Wei Shu also knows about it:
Spies are spies who infiltrate the enemy and disguise themselves as part of it, and some of the most skilled spies can even sting for years without being revealed.
This group of spies in White Frost City is the main force of this operation. However, their identities are very hidden, and Aqisi has never seen any of them (except for the dead Broken Army), and Ye and Erren have never revealed anything about this.
Finally, it is no longer a blind man's guessing like an elephant, and the identity of the Chinese atomic citizen has also been confirmed, and there is a righteous act to help the homeland, and Wei Shu's breath blocked in his heart has finally been relieved.
Looking back now, when they fought with Hook Eight yesterday, the two of them had been talking about things in the Central Plains, which also made Wei Shu not figure out the situation for the first time, but he almost missed a big thing.
Note: The term spy was coined during the Northern and Southern Dynasties. There is a paragraph in "Shishuo Xinyu Rongzhi" that "After the completion of the spy, the spy asked: 'How is the king of Wei'", indicating that the word "spy" and the professionals engaged in spying on the opponent's intelligence were at that time, and its meaning and usage are consistent with modern times.
