Chapter 7: Harry Potter

At Aunt Penny's urging, Harry slowly got up from the bed and began to look for his socks. Grab a spider from one of the socks and put it on. Harry was used to spiders, for the cupboard at the bottom of the stairs was full of spiders, and he slept there.

He got dressed and walked down the hallway to the kitchen. The dining table was almost filled with Dudley's birthday presents. Today is Dudley's birthday.

"Comb your hair!"

Uncle Vernon growled, this was how he greeted him in the morning.

"Also, didn't Penny just tell you to go out and see who the house was for? What do you come to the kitchen for! ”

"I'm hungry." Harry said innocently. "Let me eat something before I go out."

"Children don't die of hunger if they eat late! I'll talk about it when you get back! ”

Aunt Petunia said viciously.

"But I'm hungry!"

Their chubby son, Dudley, roared, who had a big pink silver face, a short neck, watery blue eyes, and thick blond hair that lay neatly against his thick chubby head, like a pig in a wig.

"Dudley, my little heart~ Mom will help you do it right away."

Aunt Petunia turned to Harry and yelled viciously, "Dudley is hungry, so hurry up and finish the bacon and omelette before you go!" I want you to look at the bacon and fried eggs, and if you dare to make a fool, see how I clean you up! ”

Harry had to start frying eggs and smoking bacon, as his aunt and uncle-in-law had always done to him.

That's when Dudley began to slowly count his birthday presents. His face sank. "Thirty-six,"

He looked up at his parents and said, "Two fewer than last year." ”

"My dear, you haven't counted the gifts that Aunt Maggie gave you. You see, under the big bag that your mom and dad gave you. ”

"Okay, then thirty-seven."

Dudley said, his face flushed. Harry knew something was wrong, and quickly finished the bacon and fried egg before Dudley could get angry, and stuffed his share into his mouth.

"Auntie, I'm going out to see who moved here!!"

He rushed out of the house at 4 Privet Road as if he were running for his life.

The breeze stirred the neat hedges on both sides of Privet Road, and the streets were spotless in the sunlight, and on either side were square, well-behaved houses, all looking similar.

The residents on this road are just like my aunt's family. They hate things that go against the grain, they are always resistant to novelty, and they are only interested in the dirty private affairs of their neighbors.

I wonder if the new family will be the same? Harry thought as he soon came to the house at 8 Privet Road. The moving company's van was parked in front of the house, and several movers were working neatly under the command of a boy who was not too much older than him.

"Hey man, be careful, this is pure oak furniture, dating back to the Victorian era, it's my family heirloom, don't break it."

"You guys also take a hand, don't let him carry this cabinet alone, there are a lot of metal fittings in it. What do metal fittings do? Anyway, it's not for assembling guns, so let's move it! ”

Watching the big boy magically command a group of adults to do the work, a feeling of envy rose in Harry's heart, how he wished he could command others to do the work.

But he was only told to work by his aunt's family, and from time to time he had to be beaten by Dudley.

The big boy quickly noticed Harry standing still.

He was stunned for a moment, then laughed. He walked over to Harry.

"Hi, hello, are you a resident on this road? My name is Luo Cheng, and I just moved here. ”

"Ah, hello, hello!"

Harry was still imagining in his skull how he commanded Dudley to wipe the toilet, and was called back to his senses by Luo Cheng's voice.

"I live with my aunt's family, and I live at No. 4 Privet Road."

"Then we're neighbors, what's your name?"

"Harry, Harry Potter."

Luo Cheng raised his eyebrows, "Harry Potter, what a good name." ”

Luo Cheng himself didn't expect that he would really soon meet Harry Potter, the child of destiny in this world. Perhaps because of malnutrition, he appeared thinner than his peers. He looked even thinner than he actually was.

Harry had an emaciated face, protruding kneecaps, jet-black hair, and emerald green eyes. He wore a pair of round-framed glasses glued together with a lot of scotch tape, and the faint scar on his forehead like lightning attracted Luo Cheng's attention.

"That scar on your forehead is cool!"

Luo Cheng gave Harry Potter a thumbs up.

Growing up, no one had ever complimented Harry on the scar on his forehead. Dudley and his gang would only humiliate him by calling him "Scarhead". Harry's heart welled up with warmth, and he looked at the big boy with great gratitude.

"Actually, it was my aunt who asked me to come and see the new neighbors."

"Then she must want you to inquire about me. Oh, don't be embarrassed, the people of Surrey have always been like that, they're very cautious. I'm Luo Cheng, and I used to live in the southernmost part of Greater London. This is the house of a distant relative of mine, who has been living in the United States, who died not long ago, and who left it to me in his will. So I stayed here. ”
