Chapter Seventy-Eight: The Burrow
Amid the clamor of the boys, the magic car has flown to its destination.
At this time, a faint red glow had already appeared on the eastern horizon.
"This car is really slow enough, you should let Dad put an acceleration magic on the car."
George complained.
"Come on, it's not that you don't know your mother's temper, it took a lot of Dad's strength to make this car like this, and it's not just a matter of waving a wand and chanting spells to renovate this car, but it costs a lot of gold to solidify the magic, and Dad has taken on a lot of personal work to ......"
Fred lowered the car a bit as he spoke.
"Look Harry, we're almost there!"
Ron excitedly pointed Harry down, and Harry saw a dark pattern of fields and clusters of trees.
The car flew lower and lower, and a red sun had already emerged among the trees.
"Landing!"
Fred shouted, and the car shook slightly, touching the ground. They landed next to a dilapidated garage surrounded by a small yard.
It used to be a big stone pigsty, but then some rooms were built here and there, and they were built up to the height of several floors, crooked, as if they had been built by magic (Harry reminded himself that it was very likely). There are four or five chimneys on the roof of the red house, and a sign diagonally placed in front of the house reads "Burrow". There were some high-top leather boots thrown by the gate, and a rusty crucible. A few fat brown chickens pecked in the yard.
"Not so good." Ron was a little embarrassed and said, "It's not like your house here......"
"No, it's amazing here." Harry said happily, "Everything about the Dursleys makes me sick, it seems to me that this place is ten thousand times better than Privet Road!" β
"Mom must be very happy to hear that." George laughed and said, "Because we think so too!" β
"Hey! Listen! Now we're quietly hugging," Fred said.
"Wait for Mom to call us for breakfast. Then Ron jumped down the stairs and said, 'Mom, look who's coming!' She must have been happy to see Harry, and even if she found out that we were using the car, she wouldn't settle accounts with us. β
"Okay." Ron said, "Come on, Harry, I'm sleepingβ"
Ron's face turned green, and his eyes were staring straight in the direction of the house. The other three turned away.
Mrs. Weasley walked briskly from the other end of the yard, and the chickens fled in all directions. It is amazing that such a fat, kind woman as she can look so much like a tiger with sharp teeth.
Mrs. Weasley stopped in front of them, crossed over her waist, scrutinizing the guilty faces one by one. She wears a printed apron and a wand in her pocket.
"Okay." She said. "The wings are stiff!"
"Good morning, Mom." George said in a tone that he clearly thought was lighthearted and cute.
"Do you know how anxious I am?" Mrs. Weasley said in a deep, heart-pounding voice.
"I'm sorry, Mom, but we have toβ"
Mrs. Weasley's three sons were taller than her, but when her anger erupted, even Harry on one side trembled.
"The bed is empty! Didn't leave a note! The car is gone! There may have been a car accident! I'm crazy! Have you ever thought of it? Never before in my life! Look at how your dad cleans you up when he comes back, Bill, Charlie, and Percy have never had anything like this! β
Mrs. Weasley angrily poked Fred in the chest and shouted, "You could fall to your death, you might be seen, you might have ruined your father's job!" β
"Isn't it nothing?" Fred muttered.
"You dare to talk back!"
Mrs. Weasley poked Fred harder in the chest. "You'll be glad someone came to the Burrow ahead of time and told me about the stupidity you might have done, or I promise I'll fix you today!"
Mrs. Weasley turned to Harry, and immediately changed her face again.
"I'm glad to see you, my dear," she said, "and come into the house for some breakfast." β
She turned back into the house, and Harry glanced nervously at Ron, who followed when he saw Ron nod.
"Did you do a good job of getting Harry out?"
When a few people entered the house, they found that there were already guests here-Luo Cheng was sitting at the dining table reading the Daily Prophet, Luo Cheng put down the newspaper and greeted a few people in a calm tone.
"Professor Luo Cheng!"
Harry said.
"Hello Harry, Hedwig I've brought it with me, and your wand that was locked in the cabinet by the Dursleys, I've left it in Ron's room. I'm sorry I can't meddle in your family's affairs as a professor, so I'll have to ask the Weasleys boys for help, but I thought they'd use a broomstick to save you. β
Only then did a few people react, and it turned out that the person who came to the Burrow in advance to lower Mrs. Weasley's anger was Luo Cheng.
