Chapter Eighty-Nine: Brawls and Dark Marks
But no matter how unhappy the male wizards present were, they couldn't change reality, so they could only listen silently to the applause and cheers of Lockhart's aunt fans.
Harry was fiddled with by Lockhart like a doll, and after taking an unknown number of pictures, Harry found himself in his possession of the full set of Lockhart's books, which made him walk a little shaky. With great difficulty, he stepped out of the center of public attention and came to the wall, where Ginny was standing beside her new cauldron.
"Here's for you," Harry said to her vaguely, pouring the book into the cauldron, "I'll buy it myselfโ"
Harry knew that the Weasleys weren't wealthy, as they had to buy three more sets of Lockhart's books.
"You must love that, Potter?" A nasty voice that he would never mishear came from his ears.
Harry straightened up and looked at Draco Malfoy, with his usual mocking smile on his face.
"Oh, look, famous, Harry Potter," Malfoy said mockingly, "and you can't even make the front page news even if you enter a bookstore." โ
"Don't talk nonsense, he doesn't want that!" Ginny said.
"Ho ho, look, Harry, you've got a little girlfriend?"
Malfoy said in a long voice, and Ginny's face flushed.
That's when Ron squeezed in. "Damn, it's you, Malfoy."
"Actually, I'm surprised, Weasley."
Malfoy sneered, "You seem to have a lot of children in your family, and your parents are going to buy so many sets of Lockhart's books for you to go to school, I'm afraid you'll be hungry next month!" โ
"Ron!" Mr. Weasley squeezed over with Fred and George, "What are you doing?" The people here are crazy, let's get out. โ
"Gee, isn't this Arthur Weasley?"
Lucius Malfoy appeared, one hand on Draco's shoulder, the same sneer on his face as his son.
"Lucius." Mr. Weasley nodded coldly. "I thought you should be questioned in the Ministry."
"I've disappointed you, Weasley, Malfoy's name is still useful in the Ministry, and not all wizards are as embarrassed as scum like you for purebloods."
Lucius Malfoy sneered, "What's more, what do you think those things can do to me?" It's just some anachronistic collections, and some wizarding families with some backgrounds will have some of them, because we are not like Weasley, who has too many cubs and gets poorer and poorer. I heard you call those things dark magic items? God, those things existed before the definition of dark magic came around. Why are you so diligent in raiding a wealthy pure-blood wizard family like ours? For the overtime pay given to you by the ministry? โ
He reached into Ginny's cauldron and pulled a tattered copy of the Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration from the middle of the new, shiny Lockhart book.
"It doesn't seem to be. Oh my God, if you can't even get a good pay, what's the good of being a scum among wizards? โ
Mr. Weasley was annoyed, "We have very different ideas about what the scum of wizards is, Malfoy. โ
Soon the two men who disagreed were in full force, and instead of using wands to duel, they clenched their fists like Muggles. This made Luo Cheng, who had already come to the outside of the Lichen bookstore, almost laugh out of his big teeth.
"Malfoy and Weasley, who fell in love and killed each other? I always felt that there was a strange bond between these two people......"
By this time, Mr. Weasley had ridden on top of Lucius, crashing into several bookshelves.
"It's about the same time." Luo Cheng looked at his watch, and then the smiling phantom appeared and left Diagon Alley.
"Add another big show, and I think tomorrow's Daily Prophet will be very lively."
At the moment when Luo Cheng left, with a loud bang, a huge green shiny thing jumped into the air above Diagon Alley.
Harry clutched the scar on his forehead, and it suddenly became hot!
"What's going on?" He heard the screams of passers-by outside, and at first thought they had seen Mr. Weasley and Lucius fighting, but Harry soon realized that something was wrong, and the passers-by screamed at the sky before turning and fleeing.
Harry couldn't bother to watch the brawl between Mr. Weasley and Lucius, and stumbled out into the street.
At this time, the sun was obscured by the clouds, and a huge skeleton hung over Diagon Alley, which was composed of countless turquoise star-like things, and a large python emerged from the skeleton's mouth like a tongue. As Harry watched, the skeleton rose higher and higher, glowing brightly in a cloud of green smoke.
"Dark Mark of the Dark! Dark Mark! Run! โ
A small wizard's face turned pale and his expression was extremely frightened.
