Chapter 13: Leaving the Pyramid with the Child

"Hell, don't touch it!" Calvin roared and rushed to the altar to pull Golan away.

However, the magic contained in the gem was stimulated by Golan with the identification instrument and began to spin wildly, emitting a brilliant green light, even the blue light of the fire dragon and the red light of the golden egg were suppressed. Everyone in the chamber was drawn to the green light.

The gem-filled glow soon converged into a blinding pillar of light, sending the gem flying up from the altar and spinning in the air.

"Everyone, get out of the room!" Calvin saw that he couldn't stop the magic contained in the gem, so he had to tell everyone to leave here quickly.

But it was too late.

The green pillar of light circled around the chamber and flew straight above Bassida's head. Even if Calvin and Bascida teamed up, they couldn't stop the gem's magic.

The pillar of light soon enveloped Bassida, sending out green circles of light from the gem. When the first few apertures appeared, Bascinda within the pillar of light hadn't changed much. However, it didn't take long for Bassida's figure to begin to shrink, and the clothes that had been close to her body gradually became wide and loosely draped over Bassida.

Just when Basida became about eight or nine years old, Calvin and his doppelganger finally shattered the green gem with three powerful bolts of lightning and forcibly stopped the time magic.

Calvin stepped forward and hugged the shrunken and unconscious Bascida, transforming her ill-fitting clothes into clothes that fit her current appearance.

After doing all this, Calvin stared at the trembling Golan with a cold face, grabbed him by the collar, and lifted him off the ground.

"Elves, I should have warned you twice, don't be so presumptuous. Why don't you listen?" There was no emotion in Calvin's voice.

"I... I..."

As soon as Golan tried to explain, Calvin threw him against the wall and slid off the wall like a rag.

"Sometimes I really can't stand you wise people, who have no ability, but they have to pretend to be superior. In the end, it will be you intelligent people who look down on humanity who are in trouble."

Calvin gradually approached Goran, who had fallen to the ground, and the wand in his right hand transformed into a sharp silver dagger, and the cold light shone on Goran's face.

"Don't, don't kill me. I'm a goblin, and I have a pact with humans." Golan coughed up a mouthful of blood and sat down on the ground and said with difficulty.

At this time, someone tapped Calvin on the shoulder, and Calvin looked back and saw that it was Bill Weiss.

Bill didn't speak, just shook his head solemnly.

In a split second between their eyes, they both remembered the prophecy they had heard in Faisal's tent that day: "Calvin will walk out of the pyramid with a child."

Calvin's gaze softened slightly, but his gaze at Golan was still sharp. He walked up to Golan and picked up the goblin's chin with his dagger, looking directly into the big, bloodshot eyes.

"I remember that Miss Barblin was your shareholder. I will personally go to the director of Gringotts for today's matter, and I believe he will give me a reasonable response."

Calvin's dagger left a slight scratch on Goran's face, and red blood slowly flowed down the wound. ….

"You're not going to kill me?" Golan's eyes welled up with tears for the rest of his life.

Calvin laughed disdainfully, "Kill you? Why don't I choose a better way to punish? Like turning you into a house-elf?"

A drop of red blood flowed from the dagger, which quickly turned back into a wand, and Calvin waved his wand quickly, and the blood burned under the influence of magic, drawing a strange diagram in the air.

Calvin pulled out a blank piece of parchment, and the diagram fell to the paper, forming an ancient contract, and Calvin was the first to sign his name on the paper.

"No, no, I'm a free elf, not a house elf!" Goran shouted frantically, trying to run away from Calvin, "You can't do this, not a single goblin has become a house-elf since the end of the goblin rebellion."

"You have to pay the price," Calvin said unwaveringly.

At this time, several human wizards who had a good relationship with Golan wanted to intercede on Golan's behalf, but they were surprised to find that they couldn't say a word, only to see Calvin turn his head and shoot a cold gaze.

Calvin took Golan's hand and forcibly wiped a drop of blood from his face, pressing the misshapen hand stained with blood against the parchment.

The light bloomed from the parchment, and Goran looked at the pact that had been in effect, as if something had disappeared from his eyes.

"Let's go, it's time to get out of here." Calvin said to the rest of the archaeological team members who were frozen in place. Everyone had thoroughly understood Calvin's strength and character, and quickly packed the gold and silver artifacts left on the ground, put them in the box, and left the secret room.

Calvin also picked up the golden egg on the altar, which had lost its golden-red glow, but he couldn't care so much about it. He carried the unconscious Bassida on his back and walked at the end of the line.

Bill walked quickly to Calvin's side, looked at Golan who was lost behind Calvin, and wanted to say something, but he didn't know how to speak.

"Don't worry, he's really a house-elf." Calvin knew about Bill's embarrassment, and he had something to say.

"Isn't it a little inappropriate for you to do this?" Bill asked, glancing at Golan, who had lost the light in his eyes.

Calvin turned his head sideways to look at Bill, who had an embarrassed face, "What do you mean by inappropriate?"

"Elves, it's not easy to deal with. House-elves, in particular, have always been a sore point in their history, and I'm afraid that if you do so, it will lead to new conflicts between goblins and wizards, or even new goblin rebellions." Bill said worriedly.

Calvin's response was very indifferent, he moved the little Basida on his back to his side, and hugged the white-haired little Lori with both hands.

"I've heard that Basida is your teacher, and she introduced you to Gringotts." Calvin said, "So the way she is, don't you think you need someone to pay for it?"

"As for the goblins, let them come to me, and they will bring me terms that are satisfactory."

Hearing such an answer, Bill didn't say anything anymore, and silently followed Calvin out of the pyramid.

On the way back to camp, Calvin suddenly said to Bill, "I want to start an archaeological team, would you be interested in coming to work?"

Bill thought about it, and he felt that even working at Gringotts under the management of the goblins was no longer a good job. The goblins are greedy, selfish, short-sighted, and have no one in their sights. If you continue to stay at Gringotts, you can't guarantee that what happened today won't happen.

"Where do you work?" Bill asked.

"I'm going to start archaeological work on British soil."
