Chapter 50: I Want to Be a Good Person
A powerful green spell flew out from the tip of Lockhart's wand, illuminating almost the entire hallway. The green light shone on Lockhart's face, looking eerie and terrifying.
Fortunately, both Harry and Malfoy were students in Calvin's dueling class, and even if they couldn't compete with this powerful spell, they were able to dodge Lockhart's attack in the first place. Ron also often spared with Harry after class, barely trying to dodge Lockhart's spell.
"Except for your weapons!" After Harry rolled around on the ground, his wand pointed at Lockhart, and a red spell shot at Lockhart. On the other side of the hallway, a red spell flew out of Malfoy's wand and aimed it at Lockhart.
Lockhart waved his wand again, and the same green spell flew out of the wand, and the three spells collided together, and Harry and Malfoy's spells were easily crushed.
"I'll admit that you're very good among second-graders, not even inferior to some fourth-graders, but you still can't do it against me."
Harry and Draco never expected to see the temperament of a strong man in Lockhart, especially his spells. Harry could clearly feel that his spells were growing in power, getting stronger and stronger.
"You kids, do you really think I don't know anything? My magic may be no worse than any Cape! I've got a secret inheritance, and I'm far from the limit now. ”
In just one minute, Lockhart's spell was as powerful as the strongest Harry had ever seen Professor Capet use.
"Alright, it's time to finish. You will forget about today, you will remember nothing! ”
"Forget it!"
The powerful green spell flew out of Lockhart's wand like a bolt of lightning, so fast that Harry could barely dodge.
Lockhart smiled triumphantly, and he would continue to be a writer who captivated everyone.
But his spell stopped in front of Harry, as if blocked by an invisible wall of air, and the dazzling light was cut off by the air.
Harry could see it best, the air in front of him refracting a diamond that blocked Lockhart's spell.
It's Professor Capet!
Harry shouted in his heart.
Sure enough, Calvin slowly walked around the corner, dangled to Draco, and picked up the recording crystal ball from his hand, seemingly ignoring Lockhart at all.
"What is it to bully a child, Lockhart. You have the ability to have a duel with me. Let me try your Oblivion Curse."
Lockhart clenched his wand, he knew the gap between himself and Calvin, but he couldn't bear to give up the money and fame he had earned, and what was even more terrifying was that once it was exposed, it would not be as simple as ruining his reputation and losing his fortune, but he would be imprisoned in Azkaban!
If it weren't for the necessity, he definitely didn't want to duel Calvin.
"Give me a chance." Lockhart lowered his wand and said in a trembling voice.
"How did I give you a chance?"
"I used to do things wrong, I didn't have a choice, now I want to be a good person."
"Okay, go talk to the Wizengamot and see if they let you be a good person."
"That's to put me in jail~"
Calvin didn't answer him, his wand flapped lightly on his left hand, and looked at Lockhart with a sneer.
Now it's just a last resort!
Lockhart wasn't lying, his magic might not be worse than Cape's, but he only had this one magic no worse than Capet's.
"Forget it!" Lockhart cast his Oblivion Charm again, and it was more powerful than all the Oblivion Charms he had cast before combined. The miserable green light lit up the entire corridor like a green sun.
With a wave of Calvin's hand, an invisible wall stood in front of him, pushing forward, the crystallized air refracting the green light of the Oblivion Spell, splitting the entire corridor into two worlds.
"Very interesting, Lockhart, I already knew you were stealing other people's memories, but Dumbledore told me not to rush into action, and to be honest, I didn't expect your Oblivion Charm to reach this point."
"It doesn't seem like modern simplified magic, it seems to be a direct imitation of a magical beast or a plant. Tsk, you're a genius, but it's a pity ......"
Countless silver threads of magic flowed from under Calvin's feet, and in just a few seconds, two stick figures were drawn. Two cats and leopards came out of the painting, one on the left and one on the right, and restrained Lockhart.
Before Lockhart could figure out what was happening, his wand flew into Calvin's hand, and the entire corridor turned back to its normal color.
A look of fear soon appeared on Lockhart's face, who looked up from under the cat-leopard's paws and pleaded, "Mr. Capet...... I, I, I can give you all the money, or my magic, don't you want to know where I learned the Forgetting Charm?. ”
Calvin shook his head, "I don't have time to dwell on this. ”
With that, a silver thread wrapped the crook around him and hung him down the hallway.
Calvin turned to the three stunned little wizards and said, "Alright, follow me to the secret room, Ginny may be in danger if it's too late." ”
Ron realized that his sister might still be in the Chamber of Secrets, so he was the first to rush to the front and shouted, "Professor Capet, follow me, the Chamber of Secrets is here!" ”
The four of them, one big, three, and four of them quickly returned to Myrtle's bathroom. When Myrtle saw Harry coming back, she wanted to go up and have a good chat with him, but when she saw Calvin, she hid herself in the cubicle, showing only a pair of eyes and looking at Calvin cautiously.
"Myrtle Warren," Calvin said softly, but with a very domineering feeling, "what did you see before you died, and where did you see it?" ”
Myrtle didn't dare to speak, but exposed the upper half of her pearl-white transparent body, pointed to the sink in the center of the bathroom, and whispered, "Right there, I only remember seeing a pair of frighteningly large yellow eyes." ”
Calvin stepped forward and touched the sink, and soon found a small snake carved into the side of a copper faucet.
"This faucet never comes out of the water." Myrtle reminded in a low voice.
Calvin nodded and beckoned to Harry, "Harry, come over here and say a few words in a snake voice." ”
Harry walked over to the sink, looked at the little snake carved into the faucet, and said to it, "Open it." ”
No response.
Calvin shook his head, "Harry, you just spoke human language. ”
"But Professor Capet, I can only speak when I see a real snake." Harry was a little helpless.
"You try again." Calvin placed his right hand on Harry's head. Harry instantly saw the little snake swim as if it were alive.
"Open."
This time, Calvin didn't hear English, but a strange hissing sound. The pool then slowly faded away, revealing a very thick pipe that could fit a person in.
