Chapter 457: Meet the Wizard
"Welcome!" the owner of the fruit shop bowed to them.
The boss was a man of about thirty years old, not very tall, wearing a modest white hat and a white apron. He had a small yellow beard that was slightly comical, and stood in a proper manner behind wooden chests of grapes, bananas, pineapples, coconuts, and some unknown fruits, and did not greet them with the enthusiasm of the merchants of other cities, and he did not even move his steps, but like a butler who had met his master by chance.
"Ah, that, we want to buy ......"
Maybe it's because the boss feels so reserved, and Aisha can't help but get nervous when she speaks. Isn't this shopping? Isn't it some official business?
"Mr. Ivan Yafir?" the boss looked up abruptly.
Both men were stunned. Aisha still had her mouth open, and she looked at her boss blankly for a moment, then turned her head to look at Ivan. She had no impression of this person at all. Ivan stared at his boss's face in amazement, only to see that the boss's face changed, first pale, then soon began to turn blue, and he staggered back two small steps.
"Mr. Blanche?" the funny mustache evoked Ivan's memory, "Is that Mr. Bud Blanche?"
Bard Blanche was the first wizard he met on his way to the town of Takamo. He was attacked by a pack of wolves raised by wizards and twisted an injured foot, and if Bard hadn't stopped the wolves, Ivan would have used a magic weapon to protect himself, which would be tantamount to - he revealed his identity to the wizards. Later, it seems that he is still young. Without suspecting his identity, Bud took him to his own home. He snuck out of Bard's house that night and never saw Bard again.
He figured that Bard would choose to leave Taka Mo, as he didn't look like a man fit to fight. He also had a gentle and hospitable wife, Sallyster. The Bard family was very nice to him, although the situation was ...... They shouldn't have been nice to him.
"Ahhhh......h His eyes were cold, and he glanced at the crowded streets. Suppress the already small sound even lower.
"Excuse me. Why are you here?
"No!" Ivan hastened to argue. He understood why Bard had such a panicked reaction when he saw him, and after the Wizards' Club incident, Bud must have known his identity.
"I'm not here because of the Alliance. Ivan whispered as he cautiously watched the crowd around him. A trace of sourness passed through the bottom of my heart. Bud had trusted him so much before, even though another wizard in his company had repeatedly told him to beware of outsiders. He still believed every lie Ivan said. So far. Will Bard ever trust him again?
"And what are you talking about?" Bard spoke to him in a respectful tone.
"Nothing. One of the Feathered Clans we knew invited a few of us over for a vacation, and the two of usβ" He glanced at Aisha. -- He came out to buy something. β
Bard's two stubby yellow eyebrows were raised. He was deceived by the little boy in front of him once, so he would naturally be more vigilant, not to mention ...... He already knew that this person was an executor of the Demon Wizard Alliance, and it was said that he was still strong. There are many wizards living in Arkatia City, although the Alliance has no power to interfere with the city of the Feather Clan, but who knows if the Alliance has any new plans?
"You're not going to call someone to arrest me, are you?" Ivan saw his suspicion in his expression, and he lowered his head, subconsciously avoiding Bard's scrutinizing gaze. Aisha frowned, looking at Bud and then at Ivan, still unsure what was going on.
Why does this person know that Ivan is a member of the Magic Alliance?
β...... No, I didn't think so. Bud shook his head quickly, then smiled dryly, "I don't have any proof that you're ...... either."
Bard's gaze fell on Ivan's wrist, and he gasped.
Probably, the elder who had fought with Ivan told him what Ivan's magic magic weapon looked like.
Bard hesitated. Maybe he can really tell the manager of the Yu clan about Ivan's identity, as long as he carefully examines the wrist chakra, the Yu clan should be able to find that it is a magic magic secret weapon. But he didn't want to do it. That night, the Magic Alliance Enforcer who had infiltrated the town of Taka Mo had captured the Great Elder of the wizards, but released him again, and he knew about it.
In a sense, he didn't want to go against the executor who had released the Great Elder.
There was an uncomfortable silence.
"Good afternoon, Bud, I want to walk around the streets, you see I'm all this old bones, walk more, be active. Oh, there are customers in the store, I didn't expect you to see the store ......."
The energetic old man's voice stopped abruptly the moment Ivan and Aisha turned around.
Ivan now had the feeling of disappearing immediately, how could it be such a coincidence? Devany couldn't have deliberately arranged for them to live very close to the wizards, and if so, what did she mean?
"Good afternoon, Ivan Yafir. The old man's face, as rough as a woodcut, stiffened.
β...... Oh. β
Ivan could not have remembered the old man. At first, the old wizard elder had almost used psychic magic to trick him into his true purpose for traveling to Takamo. When Ivan forced the little witch Sylvia, it was the same elder who knocked him unconscious. However, he had no dislike for the old man, who didn't really want his life, even though he had trapped him in his private storage room. Remembering that he had carried the old man twice after that and cut off his staff, Ivan couldn't help but roll his eyes at the sky. Don't wait for the old man to ask, let's make it clear first.
"It's been a long time, it's Elder Algernon. Aisha was the first to say hello. Ivan was surprised for a moment, Aisha didn't seem to feel very embarrassed to see the wizard elder, and there was actually a joy in his voice.
"That's right, it's me, I remember you. Elder Algernon nodded slowly. The black-and-red wooden staff he was holding in his hand was supposed to be his new staff.
"Well, I'm Ash, Elsa Trander, and I didn't have time to introduce myself before. This one isβ" Isha turned to Ivan naturally.
"Needless to say, I remember this very well, Ivan Yafir, the executor of the Magic Alliance. Elder Algernon nodded in a slower motion, his gaze like a vigilant cheetah. (To be continued......)
