Chapter Thirty-Four: His Goodness Is Taken Away

Mill followed suit, but he didn't look at the person Martin and Chris were talking about, and he suspected that they had reached the point of delirium, or were stupefied by the ghost.

"I didn't see anything." Mir said, spreading his hands.

Chris said coldly, "Mill, such a joke can't be made. ”

"Really, there's not even a figure on the roof." Mir said convincingly.

"Do you know who she is? Mill. Chris asked.

"Ghosts?" Mill looked carefully into the shadows of the roof.

Chris nodded and said, "That's right, it's a ghost, she's Lisa." ”

"You've been marked, remember to follow me."

Mir came to the rue Bourbon, and he saw that there were no carriages in the street, and he did not know how to proceed.

"Chris, didn't you come in a carriage?" Mill asked.

"I didn't alarm them, and I couldn't let Matilda Bertie know about my visit to the hotel, let alone wake her up." Chris said.

Mill thinks Chris is doing the right thing, he doesn't want to meet Matilda Bertie right now, and he is almost in the mood at all.

Next, Mir had to go to the innkeeper and ask him to pick three good horses in the stable, and even give him a little more money.

As Mill turned, he saw that Martin's hands were empty, and if he were to go to Lafayette One, there would be no tools to dig up the body, and he didn't want to dig it up with his hands.

"Martin, where's the tool?" Mir asked expressionlessly, his words slightly accusatory.

"I'm so sorry, sir, but the tools kept me in Vincent's room." Martin hurried upstairs.

Mir and Chris stood in the center of the hotel's triangle, watching the boss carefully select the horses, so much so that they waited here for a long time.

The boss walked farther and farther away, and Chris could no longer see the boss, and the front became more and more blurry and darker.

Lisa appeared in Chris's line of sight at some point, and unconsciously took a deep breath, his vision disturbed by a ghost.

He noticed that Mir didn't know where to run, and the rain was getting heavier and heavier, and he himself felt like he was hallucinating into a ghost, but he kept thinking of Mir's words in his headβ€”you have been marked.

"Damn it!" Chris shouted in a panic, "Mir? Mill? Where are you? ”

He screamed Mir's name loudly, but no one answered, and Lisa remained in front of Chris, who kept a certain distance from Chris, as if something strange was in the middle.

No matter where Chris's eyes were aiming, Lisa always followed Chris's gaze and moved strangely.

"! I don't care about you! Chris yelled.

Just then, Chris saw Mir around the corner of the hotel, and he ran angrily, but he couldn't reach Mir's body.

Chris doesn't know what to do, causing himself to fall into Lisa's fantasies, regretting not listening to Mir, and his desires take over.

He blamed himself for not touching Lisa, and no matter how much he refused, he couldn't face Lisa's temptation.

He was worried that he would not be able to get rid of Lisa's shadow for the rest of his life, and the images of him and Lisa having fun kept replaying in his mind.

He didn't want to end up like Ian, and death was something for Chris, though he had never feared it, but he didn't want to die at the hands of a ghost.

In a moment of trance, Chris didn't know when he arrived on the roof of the hotel, where Lisa had just landed.

He looked down at the bottom of the inn, where there were three men, Mir and Martin, and himself.

"Oh! No! Chris exclaimed.

At this time, Lisa's figure unconsciously appeared behind Chris, but Chris didn't notice it at all.

When Chris saw the three people in front of the hotel disappear in an instant, he sensed that something nearby was approaching him.

Chris immediately picked up the flintlock pistol, turned his head and fired several shots in front of him, because Chris was so frightened that his hands trembled so much that his bullets ran out, and Lisa stood there unscathed.

"Miss Lisa, I don't want to die." Chris threw the flintlock pistol and pleaded bitterly.

Lisa didn't say a word, her cold body continued to slowly approach Chris, who could feel a cold gas coming towards her.

"What do you want?" Chris thinks fear is useless, and he just wants to hear Lisa's conditions now.

She said coquettishly, "Be my man." ”

"You're a ghost, not a human." Chris refused.

Lisa immediately pushed Chris down and said, "Then you can go and die!" ”

"Chris! Chris! Wake up. Mill said as she tried to pinch Chris.

Martin looked at Mill's strange way of saving people and asked, "Sir, does this work?" ”

"It works very well, and when you get to this day, I will use it on you." Mill said disgustedly.

"I don't want to have that day at all, sir."

Mill yelled, "Then you just shut up!" ”

Chris slowly opened his eyes, and the raindrops gently hit Chris's cheeks, and he felt the coldness again.

He angrily pushed Mir away, then immediately stood up and said, "Get out of here!" ”

"What exactly is going on? I can't believe it. ”

Martin looked at Chris's unusually angry expression, Mill saved him, and Martin couldn't understand Chris yelling at his superior.

"Hey! What are you doing? Martin said with a hard push on Chris face.

"! Do you want to taste the bullets? Chris yelled.

Chris picked up the flintlock pistol and was about to shoot Martin in the chest, Mill immediately stopped Chris, he didn't know why Chris became so angry, from Chris's eyes, he found that Chris seemed to be missing something compared to before.

"Where is his kindness?" Mill muttered to himself.

Chris put back the flintlock pistol and left the stables, leaving Mill and Martin standing there stupidly.

"Sir, I always feel like Inspector Louis is a different person." Martin said, staring at Chris's back.

"I don't know what happened when he was in a coma." "Looks like he's lost his kindness," Mir said. ”

Martin couldn't understand what Mill was saying, and he felt that Mir's words were too connotative, and his own thoughts couldn't reach Mir's cognition.

"Sir, does Inspector Louis have a lot to do with ghosts?" Martin believes that the ghost is the culprit and that it is the ghost that turns Chris into an extremely irascible person.

Mill shook her head and said, "I'm still suspicious, what you saw on the rooftop, Lisa, she might have done something to Chris. ”

Mill thought of the idea expressed in Father Cavendish at his home that good and evil exist in this world.

"Could it be that Chris's kindness was taken away by a ghost?" Mill muttered.
