Chapter 139: Have You Observed a Maniac?
"Alright, Mr. Walter, we've reached our destination."
Martin didn't want to continue arguing with Walter Roux, it would be pointless and would delay some time, especially if it was unnecessary.
Maybe Walde Roux is just talking about it, and he doesn't want to say anything about framing himself, so there is no need to take it seriously.
"Damn it!" Wald Rue looked at the oppressive sky and said, "Is it going to rain again?" ”
"Quite possibly, so you'll need to find a good place to shelter from the rain later, preferably to be able to monitor here." Martin jumped out of the carriage and said.
Waldrew looked around, then pointed ahead and said, "Is that the house?" Mr. Angelus. ”
"Yes."
"Is there anyone in there now?"
"I don't know." Martin shook his head and said, "There will be no one when the chief and I come, I don't know now." ”
"Let's go, let's go there and have a look."
Walde Roux walked in front of Martin, immediately removed the flintlock pistol, and then lowered his head and began to check if the ammunition was full.
"Hey, hey, didn't you say okay to monitor here? Why should we go over? Martin stopped Walter Rue from saying.
"I'd like to find out for myself, I'm a little worried that Detective Edward will miss something else." Waldrew looked up and said, "Don't you want to go in with me?" ”
"I'm sorry, Mr. Walter, I've already been there." Martin smiled politely and said, "My mission is done, Mr. Ward." ”
"No, Mr. Angelus, I need your guard." Wald Rue's eyes rolled and said, "Be my assistant for the time being." ”
Martin thought Waldrew was ridiculous: "Don't be whimsical, I'm loyal to my chief, Detective Edward. ”
"I don't force it, if I accidentally break something," Walter Rue sneered, "the murderer will know that we've been here." ”
Martin sighed lightly, "Okay, I'll go with you." ”
After a while, Walter Rue stood in front of the door in disguise, carefully observing the traces.
Martin stood next to Walter Ruw, three feet apart, his arms crossed and sneering eerily.
"Mr. Walter, what do you see?" He asked.
"There are signs of repair on the door, it looks like it's new," he said, posing thoughtful. ”
"There are also obvious shovel marks above and below the door, which also seem to be new." Wald Rue touched his hand and said, "It shouldn't have been left by the murderer." ”
Martin asked, "Why?" ”
"It's a bit like a prank, and the shovel is shallow." Wald Rue pointed to his head and said, "Unless there's something wrong with the murderer." ”
"You can't have carved it on purpose, right?" Wald Rue said, turning his head to look up at Martin.
"The murderer only cares about killing, and I don't think the murderer will waste his time on the door."
Martin nodded and said, "What if the murderer is a madman?" ”
"It's going to smash the doors and windows, or make the house airtight, or not going out of the house all day, and it's going to mess up everything in the house, and even talk to the air, so that some other behavior will look weird." Walter Rue said.
"Mr. Walder, is your reasoning all intuition?" Martin scoffed.
Walter turned and said, "Mr. Angelus, have you observed the madman?" ”
"No, never."
"I have observed in the interrogations in France, and in the dark prisons." Walter Roux said: "Their spirit is direct to me and I have never been able to reach it. ”
"What do you observe them doing every day?" Martin was a little curious.
"I want to try to get into their world."
"Did you succeed then?"
"Not once." Wald Rue said disappointedly, "Have you ever heard of heretics? ”
"I've heard of it."
"They are far more terrible than madmen."
