Chapter 444: Uproar
Kim Bulu!
Kim Bulu!!
Kimbu !!
is only three words, but it is like a bombshell thrown into the river, completely destroying the Chang'an court that has been silent for a long time!
Even after the dinner on this day, the kings present were silent about the content of the dinner, but with Liu Sheng's intentional or unintentional connivance, everything that happened in the Xuanshu Hall that night was still spread outside the palace through various informal channels.
In the streets and alleys, public opinion is still only 'Your Majesty seems to be planning to collect business taxes?' the degree of ';
But inside and outside the court, the topic of Jin Bulu has long been completely ignited by the rumors from the palace.
What does the three words Jin Bulu mean in today's Han Dynasty?
When Chao Tianzi took the initiative to mention these three words, what was the approximate concept?
To understand this, it is necessary to mention the meaning of the three words of Kimbulu and the political context in which this law was written into the Han Law.
Everyone knows: unlike any feudal dynasty in history, Liu Han Sheji was not founded by Taizu Liu Bang alone, but by the cooperation of the Liu and Lu families, which is a rare and even unique mom-and-pop shop in Chinese history.
After overthrowing the tyrannical Qin and exterminating Xiang Yu, Liu Hansheji, which was successfully established on the scorched earth of the century-old war, naturally entered a new stage.
——From the entrepreneurial stage of the anti-Qin period, the commercial competition stage of the Chu and Han dynasties, to the stage of internal struggle after the establishment of the dynasty.
To put it simply, it is the Liu-Lu dispute.
Fight for what?
Naturally, it is the right to speak in the Liu Han Dynasty and the right to rule the dynasty.
As the shopkeeper of the mom-and-pop shop, Taizu Liu Bang naturally did not allow the Lu family to shake the Liu family's legitimate rule over Liu Han Sheji in any form, including getting involved in the throne through the second Liu Ying;
As a result, Taizu Liu Bang rebelled against the Lu family for the first time and launched his preferred candidate for the prince: Liu Ruyi, the third son of the emperor.
Ruyi, Ruyi, as I wish;
Who's the Will?
Naturally, it is Taizu Liu Bang's intention.
Regarding the dispute between Emperor Liu Ying of the Han Dynasty and Liu Ruyi, the king of Zhao Yin, most of the later generations have the following opinions.
- Emperor Hui of the Han Dynasty Liu Ying, the mother of the Empress Dowager Lu, whose right position is far from being comparable to Liu Ruyi, the king of Zhao Yin;
- Emperor Hui of the Han Dynasty, Liu Ying, was benevolent and benevolent after the founding of the country, so as to ensure that the national honor was passed on endlessly, rather than repeating the mistake of the death of Ying Qin II;
- Emperor Hui of the Han Dynasty Liu Ying's power is all over the court and outside, backed by the Lu family, if he can't get the throne, the court will have a big change······
And so on, the reason why Emperor Liu Ying of the Han Hui Emperor succeeded to the throne is more reasonable, and the world can say countless things;
But for Liu Bang, Emperor Taizu of the Han Dynasty, there is only one reason for Liu Ruyi to replace Liu Ying and become the second son of Han Tianzi after himself.
- Liu Ruyi, not from the Lu family.
Let Liu Ruyi inherit the throne, and the power of the Lu family will still not be able to touch even the slightest bit of imperial power.
How about the other way around?
On the contrary, everything that followed has proved Liu Bang's worries.
Filial piety Liu Ying succeeded to the throne, and the power fell to the side, so that the Empress Dowager Lu was called a woman in the court, and it was as long as fifteen years!
Twenty-two years before the Liu Han Dynasty, it is equivalent to saying that Liu Bang sat on the throne for the first seven years, and the Empress Dowager Lu sat for the last fifteen years!
For the affairs of the Later Lu Dynasty, later generations also have different opinions, such as Zhu Lu's chaotic government, or the early death of filial piety, the tragic death of the former youth, and even the princes and ministers jointly punished Zhu Lu.
But in fact, from the day when Emperor Taizu Gao Liu Bang gave up Liu Ruyi as the prince and still had Liu Ying as his prince, everything that followed was doomed.
- As soon as Liu Bang died, the imperial power fell to the Lu family;
- filial piety Liu Ying, throughout his life, he could not issue an imperial edict or touch the jade seal for a moment;
- The former young Liu Gong died tragically in the palace because of the loss of young madness.
Even until the death of the Empress Dowager Lü, even if there were no princes and ministers to punish Zhu Lu and Zhu Lü's relatives to usurp the throne, the imperial power of the Han family still could not be returned to the hands of the young emperor Liu Hong.
Why?
Because on the occasion of her death, Empress Dowager Lu handed over all the military power that could be mobilized in the Chang'an court to two nephews: Lu Chan and Lu Lu.
From this point of view, the speculation of some historians in later generations may not be unreasonable.
-- Empress Dowager Lu's entrustment before her death, it really hints that the Lu family 'will seek to usurp the throne after my death, and replace Liu with Lu'.
Therefore, from the time the Empress Dowager Lu was in power to the death of the Empress Dowager Lu, the princes and ministers punished Zhu Lu, welcomed the acting king Liu Heng, and then Liu Heng pulled the imperial power back to the bowl of the old Liu family little by little - in the past 20 years, only one thing happened in the Han family.
Liu Lu contended.
Taizu is in the court, and the Lu family is dormant;
Taizu died, and the Lu family gradually showed its fangs;
Xiaohui died, and the Empress Dowager Lu no longer had any scruples, and began to unscrupulously seal Zhu Lu, and even made such an intriguing deathbed entrustment when she was dying.
And in the end, to everyone's surprise, 'the princes and ministers should join forces to punish Zhu Lu, and the acting king Liu Heng pretended to be a pig and ate a tiger to reign in the world', which finally drew an end to this internal struggle that lasted for more than 20 years: Liu won a tragic victory at the cost of paying the price of the sons of Taizu (six of the eight people), the sons of filial piety (all), and the ambition of the king of Qi.
As for the Lu family, they were careless, losing everything, from their soul to their bodies, after the defeat of the political struggle.
After understanding these past events, and the hidden struggles behind them, let's go back and forth: What does the Golden Cloth Law really mean?
——As a commercial tax law promoted by the Empress Dowager Lu and promulgated in the world, the three words "Golden Cloth Law" belong to the 'political heritage of the Empress Dowager Lü' in the absolute sense.
It is precisely because of this that the princes and ministers jointly punished Zhu Lu and welcomed the reign of Liu Heng, the king of the dynasty, to succeed the unification, and without the slightest hesitation, many laws, including the Jinbu Law and the Jinguan Law, were abolished at one time.
Could it be that the princes and ministers at that time did not know the necessity of collecting commercial taxes?
Could it be that those who have gone through hardships, who are accustomed to seeing big scenes, who have climbed up from the mountains of corpses and blood at the time of the founding of the country, do not know the necessity of the existence of such a law?
is the same as the dispute between Xiaohui Liu Ying and Zhao Yin Wang Liu Ruyi: the necessity of the existence of Jin Bulu can be supported by many reasons;
But the repeal of this law requires only one indisputable reason.
This law was promulgated by the Empress Dowager Lu.
Empress Dowager Lu is wrong!
After the Zhulu Rebellion broke out, was successfully pacified, and all of Zhulu's relatives were eradicated, the Empress Dowager Lu could only be wrong, and she must be wrong!
Political struggles have always been winner-take-all, and losers lose everything;
Since Empress Dowager Lu is 'wrong', all the decisions made and all the laws promulgated by Empress Dowager Lu must also be 'wrong'.
Abolish the former young emperor?
Regicide!
After the establishment of the young emperor?
Usurpation!
Even many of the bloodlines of Emperor Xiaohui were classified as 'from the harem of Zhu Lu's fornication' because of Empress Dowager Lu's 'mistake', 'the former and later young emperors and the sons of filial piety are all sons of the Lu family', not to mention a mere piece of gold cloth.
And so, a magical scene appeared.
- Empress Dowager Lu is 'wrong', treacherous, dark and evil;
Therefore, the golden cloth law is 'wrong', it is to bring disaster to the country and the people, and to poison the world;
And the Golden Cloth Law is wrong, which naturally means that a law that collects business taxes on merchants should never exist.
Therefore, any emperor who tries to pass legislation to collect commercial taxes from the merchant community will also be 'wrong'······
Outrageous?
Outrageous.
Is it an exaggeration?
Not an exaggeration at all.
This was the political struggle of the feudal period.
If you win, even if you are just a crippled eunuch, you can still dominate the world and refer to the deer as a horse;
If you lose, even if you are the Ninety-Five Supreme, you will still be unable to escape the question of the soul of your subordinates: Why did Your Majesty rebel?
"Why did Your Majesty mention Kimburyu again?"
"Even if you don't mention these three words, you can collect business tax through other means······"
"—Why do you have to use the word 'Golden Cloth'?"
"Even if you change your name?"

So he put Ruhou to death and led the Hu cavalry into Chang'an; He also requisitioned and transferred the ship's soldiers to Qiu Cheng, a great merchant, and handed them over to the command of Qiu Cheng, a great merchant. At the beginning, the runes of the Han Dynasty were pure red, and because Liu used red runes, he added yellow tassels to the runes issued by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty to show the difference.
Rivers of blood
Liu Ju came to the south gate of the northern army barracks, stood on the car, summoned Ren An, the envoy of the Northern Army, and issued a talisman to order Ren An to send troops. But after Ren An bowed to the charm, he returned to the camp and closed his door. Liu Ju led people away, forcibly armed about tens of thousands of citizens of the four cities of Chang'an, and outside the west gate of Changle Palace, he encountered the army led by Prime Minister Liu Quyu, and the two sides fought for five days, killing tens of thousands of people, and blood was left in the ditch on the side of the street like water. The people say that "the prince rebels", so people do not attach themselves to the prince, but the forces on the prime minister's side continue to strengthen.
Geng Yin (17th), Liu was defeated and fled south to Chang'an City. Si Zhitian Renzheng led his troops to guard the city gate, because he felt that Liu Ju and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty were father and son, and he was unwilling to persecute too quickly, so Liu Ju was able to escape from the city. Liu Quyu wanted to kill Tian Ren, and the Imperial Doctor said to Liu Quyu in a violent victory: "Si Zhi is a member of the imperial court with 2,000 stones, so he should be invited first, how can he kill it without permission!" So Liu Quyu released Tian Ren.
When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty heard this, he was furious, arrested and punished Violent Shengzhi, and asked him: "Si Zhi let go of the rebel, and the prime minister killed him, it was to enforce the laws of the country, why did you stop it?" "Panic and panic, he committed suicide and died. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty sent Zongzheng Liu Chang and Zhijin Wu Liu Dare to carry the emperor's edict to take back the empress's seal and ribbon, and Empress Wei committed suicide.
Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty believed that Ren An was an old official, and when he saw the war, he wanted to sit and watch the success or failure, and see who won the victory, and he had two hearts for the imperial court, so he beheaded Ren An and Tian Ren together. Jingjian, a man from Chang'an, followed Ma Tong, captured Shi De, and named him Dehou; Shang Qiucheng fought hard, captured Zhang Guang, and made him the marquis. Liu Ju's guests were all executed because they had entered and exited the palace gate; Anyone who followed Liu Ju to send troops to rebel will be exterminated according to the crime of rebellion; Officials and soldiers at all levels who were not coerced by Liu Ju out of their own intentions were all exiled to Dunhuang County. Because Liu was on the run, he began to set up garrison troops at the gates of Chang'an...
Emperor Wu of Han was extremely angry, and his ministers felt worried and frightened, and they didn't know what to do. The third elder of Huguan ordered Gu Mao to write to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty and said: "I have heard that the father is like the sky, the mother is like the earth, and the son is like all things in the heaven and the earth, so only when the heavens are calm and the earth is safe, can all things flourish; Only with father's kindness and mother's love can sons be filial. Now the crown prince is the legitimate heir of the Han Dynasty, and will inherit the great cause of eternity, carry out the great trust of the ancestors, and be the eldest son of the emperor in terms of relationship. Jiang Chong was originally a commoner, but he was just a slave in the market, but His Majesty respected him, let him take the supreme order to persecute the crown prince, gather a group of treacherous villains, and defraud, frame, persecute and frame the crown prince, so that His Majesty and the prince's father-son relationship was blocked. The crown prince could not meet the emperor in person, and when he retreated, he was troubled by the framing of the rebellious ministers, he was wronged alone, had nowhere to appeal, and couldn't help but feel resentful, and killed Jiang Chong, but he was afraid that the emperor would be guilty and was forced to flee. As the son of His Majesty, the crown prince embezzled his father's army just to save himself from being framed by others, and the minister did not think that there was any sinister intention. The Book of Songs says: 'Green flies come and go on the fence, and the humble gentleman does not believe in slander.' Otherwise, the slander will be endless, and there will be great chaos in the world. In the past, Jiang Chong once killed Prince Zhao with slander, and everyone in the world knew about it. Now, without investigation, Your Majesty has excessively rebuked the Prince, and in a furious rage, he has sent a large army to pursue the Prince, and ordered the Prime Minister to personally command, so that the wise do not dare to speak, and the eloquent can hardly open their mouths, and I really regret it in my heart. I hope that Your Majesty will relax your mind, calm down, don't be harsh on your relatives, don't be angry about the prince's mistakes, immediately end the conquest of the prince, and don't let the prince flee for a long time! With my devotion to Your Majesty, I am ready to sacrifice my short life to be guilty outside the Jianzhang Palace. The chapter was handed over, and Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was moved and woke up when he saw it, but he had not yet publicly issued a pardon.
Liu Ju fled east to Huxian and hid in Quanjiu. The owner's family was poor, and he often knitted and sold straw sandals to support Liu Ju. Liu Ju had a former acquaintance who lived in Hu County, and when he heard that he was very rich, Liu Ju sent someone to call him, so the news leaked. In August Xinhai (the eighth day of the first lunar month), the magistrate rounded up Liu Ju. Liu estimated that it would be difficult for him to escape, so he returned to the house, closed the door, and hanged himself. Among the soldiers who came to search for him, there was a man named Zhang Fuchang from Shanyang, who kicked open the door with his foot. Xin'an County ordered Shi Li Shou to run forward and hug Liu Ju and untie him. The master fought and died in a fight with the person who searched for Liu Ju, and the two emperors and grandsons were also killed. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was saddened by the death of Liu Ju, so he named Li Shou as the marquis and Zhang Fuchang as the title marquis.
In the third year of Zhenghe (90 B.C.), officials and people accused each other of witchcraft crimes, and after investigation, it was found that most of them were untrue.
