Q: Do you have any plans for tea?

A: I'm going to open a new book! (Suddenly loud)

——

This is the end of "The Siren Blade", and the story of Li Duo ends in the form of a happy end that I agreed in my testimonial.

I would like to thank the readers who have accompanied me to the end, the editor-in-chief who has helped me a lot, and finally I would like to thank myself for my perseverance and efforts to this day.

After that, I will talk about the beginning of the creation of this book, as well as my own mental journey.

I know that some readers like to start reading at the end when they are there, for example, to see what the author's testimonial has to say, and I like it too. However, there will be spoilers later, so please be careful.

——

In October last year, Ziyue, who is now leaving, asked me to have dinner and urged me to open a new book again. Or that he was mainly urging me to open a new book and pick a place to eat by the way. At the time, I wanted to wait until 2023 to get through the fun, and I didn't have any new book ideas that would satisfy me. It's just that I've responded with the same reason a few times before, but this time I can't continue to say, "I haven't thought about it yet." So I casually talked nonsense, saying that I had an idea, and the new book wrote that the main character is a righteous madman and a perverted pervert, and his favorite thing is the Lepp female monster.

Why can he Lepu female monster still be a righteous madman, because youkai are ogres who endanger society, he feels that his Lepu female monster is not illegal, but uses the iron hammer of justice to defeat the evil demon girl, so he picks good-looking female monsters and punishes them fiercely.

I thought to myself, you can't nod your head with such a bad idea. If you don't nod your head, I don't have any idea of a new book, but you've just rejected it. After that, I can justifiably continue to be lazy. Unexpectedly, the other party said: Write!

Yes? So what if I say that the female monster of the protagonist's "punishment" even has a white-haired and red-eyed vampire Lori?

Write!

The protagonist is a righteous madman, and he will "deal with" the evil female monster on the spot after "punishing", which is not easy to write, right?

Write!

I had to bite the bullet and write it.

When I actually wrote it, I couldn't be so polite and happy.,Really write the protagonist as some kind of Lepp madman.,So I modified the image of the protagonist to be relatively kind.,And named it "Li Duo".

There is no special allusion to the name Li Duo, if I have to say it, there is also a character named Li Duo in the "Persona" series, which is one of my creative enlightenments. But it's a female character.

The character "Kraken" came out of my head when I was talking about that idea. Under the moonlight, the protagonist's sea beast is seduced by a human-like female body, and the two linger wildly in the damp and dark cave, this chaotic experience deeply imprints the taste of the human object into the protagonist's brain - this is such a character. After returning home, I wrote a short story with this image as the core to read to other authors and friends, and also posted it on the forum. After revisions and additions, it became Chapter 16 of the book.

And "biting blood" is the aforementioned "white-haired and red-eyed vampire Lori". Although Bloodbite is set as a "half-blood demon" in the official story, and there is no real "vampire" in the whole story, the vampire element of Bloodbite is also shown in some details.

As an aside, I've been very fond of many stories for a long time, with a youthful appearance but an old man's "girl" character. However, in some stories, when depicting such characters, the elements of girls are always portrayed, while the elements of old age are almost exclusively in the setting. Although I also like the girl element, the latter should not be ignored, otherwise the character impression will be out of balance. As the saying goes, "first impressions matter", so the first appearance of the bite is in the image of an old man.

Li Duo, Kraken, Bite Blood...... These three characters are the core of the story that was originally finalized.

Among them, the Kraken is a background character, and the background does not even have a specific physical description. It has a mimicry appearance similar to that of a human beauty, but I consciously removed the specific age of the appearance, whether the body is plump or slender, and whether the hair is long or short. At first, I actually set it to be a girl about the same age as Li Duo at the time, but I also removed that part. Because I wanted to highlight its monstrous nature, I deliberately didn't portray it as human. The only place where its appearance can be described in detail is that it has pale skin like a dead man.

So the heroine of "Siren's Blade", which was originally designed, was actually biting blood. I believe some readers can see that most of the plots in this book are unfolded with clues related to biting blood. The name Bite Blood also has no special meaning, and the source is the "Bite Blood Ring" of "Dark Souls 3". Because I felt that the word "bite blood" was very much in line with the image of a vampire, I chose it as her name.

Both the bluebird and the siren were characters that came later when the outline was drafted.

Among them, the blue bird was initially positioned as "a normal and sound woman in contrast to things outside the human world". Although this book is full of distortions, the more you want to highlight the shadows, the more you need to have enough light. The bluebird is such a ray of light.

In order to ensure her health, I managed to get back her broken arm in the opening episode, and set that even if she was born in a family that combined with monsters to continue the bloodline, there was no monster's blood flowing in her veins. In the original case of "The Witch" in Chapter 63, she would have become a sick character with her obsession with Li Duo, but I don't think she should be like this, so I didn't write it that way.

However, as the so-called plan cannot keep up with the changes, there are often accidents of one kind or another in the creative process, and the characters sometimes have changes that the author himself did not expect. In the later stages, this character actually became the most twisted character in the book, which I never dreamed of at first.

In the original outline, Blue Bird was not as important as it is now, but after actually writing it, I found that I liked her very much. In the testimonials on the shelves, I said this, "The first chapter is called death and rebirth, and the last chapter is called "Sincerity for You", and the original design of "Sincerely for You" here is "Li Duo, who has gone through countless twists and turns, finally realized that his love for the Kraken is false, and in the end, he decided to offer his true love to the Kraken". In the end, the role of Blue Bird still distorted my original arrangement, and Li Duo chose her.

Let's put the sirens next together with Li Duo, she is a character who appears to draw a break from this story, and at the end she sacrifices herself to help Li Duo defeat the last enemy, and shows her true origins. This was done from the very beginning. But I later noticed that this true rest should have been when Li Duo chose to live with his sin, not when he had defeated the last enemy.

As early as when I set up the protagonist Li Duo, I already had a bad premonition, he is definitely not the protagonist who is loved by readers like Xu Fu. This person not only has a serious criminal record of perverted crimes, but also dropped out of school since junior high school, and he has not even completed compulsory education properly. According to the predetermined development in the future, there must be many people who feel that he can't control his lower body. That's all there is to it, he is still a depressive character who wants to commit suicide all the time, and his mind is full of negative factors, and he is simply a subscription nemesis in the first person of this mostly psychological activity.

But I still wrote it, on the one hand, I had already agreed with the editor-in-charge, and on the other hand, a full-time online writer who didn't have a serialized work was no different from a jobless vagrant. While I want to be lazy, I really want to move quickly.

In this way, I must find a reason for Li Duo to live. But for him, even if he realizes the beauty of the world, he will not want to live. Because he doesn't love himself, even the blue bird can't save him with love. He is willing to die for the blue bird, but he will not live for the blue bird, even if his love for the blue bird is increased a hundred times, this idea will not be changed. And the siren is the one who can get him to that step.

A lot of readers seem to be paying a lot of attention to the character of Zhu Di, so I'll expand on it a little bit here. When Li Duo said goodbye to Zhu Ming in prison, Zhu Ming had already retired from this story. She was actually a character that I created on improvised when I was writing the plot of Puqing City, and this character was originally made by Sabertooth.

In the early conception, Sabertooth would meet Li Duo in White Sun Town, and give up revenge on Li Duo after struggling, but the more he thought about it after he returned, the more he couldn't let go, and the hatred became stronger, torturing him to the point of madness. When the plot develops in the middle and late stages, when the Security Bureau attacks the Dawning Dream Realm, Sabertooth will collude with the white horse to frame Li Duo.

And in the camp of the night before, there would originally be an avenger who had been killed by the demon Li Duo, and he would betray the eve with a righteous belief in this plot in the middle and late stages, and choose to let go of his hatred, and would also rescue Li Duo when he was framed and fight side by side with him. But after thinking about it repeatedly, this Avenger still became a scrap character.

At the same time, because I felt that colluding with the enemy to frame the friendly side was not the style of the saber, I changed to another person, that is, Zhu Dark.

In the process of portraying Zhu Yan, there are many plots that I improvise. My habit of writing is to prepare a rich outline in advance (but often lack an outline of the whole book), sometimes a 4,000-word chapter will have a detailed outline of nearly 2,000 words. It's said to be a detailed outline, but in fact, it is to write a lot of paragraph fragments accumulated on weekdays into a memo, and then call it up when you need it. I'm a mediocre person, and without that, my work would not be able to move forward. In Zhu Di's case, I uncharacteristically added a lot of improvisational elements, and even setting her as a surviving person was part of improvisation. I didn't even expect it to happen, and in terms of the results, I did enjoy it.

There are many other characters worth explaining, such as Qiao Libri, Qiao An, as well as Lieque, White Horse, and so on...... If you start explaining each one, it will become endless, so let's stop here. By the way, I'm not very good at naming characters, and out of all the roles, I personally think that the best name for the character is the one that is missing.

From the first chapter to the last chapter, each section of the main article is updated at 11 o'clock at noon. Although there are a few times when sensitive words are triggered and stuck on the review, it is a non-war crime; And even with that credited, my updates are extremely stable. Why didn't anyone ask me, but I still have to report this incident, because I hope that everyone will praise me fiercely in the comments in this paragraph after reading this.

I haven't decided on the theme of the new book yet, and I can't say exactly when it will be released. However, I did a divination based on my deposit balance, and the results of the divination showed that the idea for the new book should hit me on the head by the end of the year.

The titles of the penultimate and penultimate chapters are a nod to Restricted Doomsday Syndrome, which I really like.
