Chapter 15: Bluewater City
Bluewater City.
A very strange city.
It seems to be wealthy, and some of the buildings in the city are even comparable to the capital of the Principality of Kema.
But it seems to be poor, and most of the gorgeous villas are uninhabited.
Instead, the civilian area across the street was packed.
In terms of economic income, it is not an exaggeration to be downgraded to a town.
However, as a port city with a rich history and culture, its owners preferred to maintain the original city-level taxation rather than lower their status and class.
In addition to the city lord, there is also a group of people who were once wealthy, who obviously have the ability to relocate, but still insist on guarding here.
But these rich people who live in small three-story buildings and large gardens may be cleaner in their pockets than poor people who live in thatched huts.
Once again, Lord McCann was enjoying a leisurely afternoon tea in the garden with his wizard friends.
His friends said they were wizards, but they were just second-level apprentices. There is also very little witchcraft, and I don't know which wizarding organization drove out the graduates.
The second-level apprentice is named Caron, who is over forty years old this year, and lives in fear every day. Even the city lord McCann had a hard time inviting the other party out.
But since you are invited, it is natural to communicate and communicate your feelings well. After all, he was the last wizard willing to stay in Bluewater City for a long time.
Mackende took a sip of the small white porcelain teacup in front of him, looking at Caron with a pleasant expression, and a little flattering when he looked at Caron.
"You've locked yourself in your room for half a month. Now the shallow water roses have bloomed, and if they don't come out, they will miss the flowering period. β
Caron didn't speak, picked up the empty teacup in front of him, and poured in the solution he had brought, "I'm going out recently." β
McCann was stunned and immediately asked, "Where are you going?" How long is it going to go? β
Caron muttered, "I've run out of important materials for my experiments, and I need to go to the beach to collect some." By the way, how has the recent collection progress of the black water snail? I need a thousand on my side. β
The corners of the city lord's mouth twitched, the black water snail was one of the few money-making commodities they had left, but they didn't expect this Caron wizard to ask for 1,000 when he opened his mouth.
But there is no way, if you want to keep each other, how can you do it without something of value?
"I'll ask the housekeeper to count it immediately."
Caron nodded, "Hurry up, I'll leave tomorrow." β
This Wizard Caron goes out once or twice a year or so, and comes back in as little as three days or as long as half a month.
But every time the other party goes out, the city lord of McCann will be nervous, for fear that the other party will never return.
Having a wizard in place - even if the other party is only a second-level apprentice - can solve many difficulties that ordinary people can't solve, and what is the difference between a city and a village without a wizard?
While Lord McCann pondered whether to buy something to enhance Wizard Caron's feelings for Bluewater, a butler hurriedly walked in and bowed deeply to him from a distance, indicating that there was something urgent.
Wizard Caron, who was sitting opposite the city lord of McCann, naturally saw this scene, he skillfully picked up the white porcelain cup, gently took a sip of the unknown composition of the solution inside, stood up and said, "You are busy, I'll go back." β
Although the city lord of McCann was very sorry that the time to communicate with the other party this time was too short, he knew that there was no real big thing, and the housekeeper would not dare to come in and disturb him.
"What's wrong?" In order to show his trust in Wizard Caron, he asked without waiting for the other party to leave the small garden.
"News came from the soldiers defending the city. A wizard has entered Bluewater. β
"Oh?" The lord of the castle stood up at once.
Even the Wizard of Karon, who was walking out, stopped.
"The soldiers defending the city are about to collect the entry tax from the other party."
The City Lord of McCann almost jumped when he heard this, "How dare he?" β
The housekeeper hurriedly said, "After he saw a white mushroom moving on the other party's coachman's head, he immediately returned the money." β
Even the driver who drove the car had such a strange performance, and it must be the wizard who was sitting in the car.
"What kind of mushroom is it?" Wizard Caron turned back again.
"It is said that it looks just the most ordinary white-skinned mushroom, with a little gray on the canopy." The butler hurriedly turned to Caron and bowed again.
"White-skinned mushrooms?" Caron thought for himself.
"Where is that wizard now? Any idea what he's doing here? β
He asked the soldier for an address, and he was supposed to go there. Without waiting for the city lord or the wizard to ask, the butler said the address, "It's No. 16 Shrimp Street, and most of the people living there are poor civilians from other places or localities. I've had people check who lives there now. β
The city lord nodded, and nervously admonished, "Let people not follow too closely, so as not to be considered arrogant by the other party." β
Then Lord McCann looked at Caron, "Lord Wizard, should we invite the other party over for tea?" β
CuarΓ³n thought for a moment and asked the butler, "Is there any special mark on that car?" β
But before the butler could speak, he shook his head, "Forget it, what can you see?" Respectfully invite the wizard. But if the other party refuses, don't dwell on it, he should be at least a third-level wizard apprentice. β
"Shhh
Lord McCann wanted to too, but he held back.
β¦β¦
Thor, who was discussed by the Lord of Bluewater City and the resident wizard, had already arrived at No. 16 Sea Shrimp Street in a carriage at this time.
Naturally, he noticed that someone was crashing into his carriage from a distance, but he didn't care.
When the car stopped at the door, pedestrians around were stretching their necks to see that this double-decker carriage was already a means of transportation for quite wealthy people.
However, when the people saw the mushrooms writhing on the coachman's head, they showed frightened expressions and immediately withdrew from the alley.
Agu jumped out of the carriage and knocked on the door.
It didn't take two knocks before I heard the sound of a hurried run coming from inside.
After a few breaths, the door slammed open, revealing a familiar face.
"You...... Who are you looking for? Tander's face was nervous and agitated, and he became stunned when he saw Agu.
Thor had just gotten out of the carriage and turned to Sander and said, "Let's go in and talk." β
The expression on Tander's face turned to joy when he saw Thor, "Your Excellency, are you here?" Come in! β
Thor nodded, stepping in.
The small courtyard at No. 16 Prawn Street is not large, a bit like a separate space separated by a wall from other courtyards.
Thor's carriage couldn't get into the courtyard, so it had to be parked outside, and the coachman waited for the cart, while Agu followed Thor into the house.
They walked through the narrow courtyard until they entered the two-room wood-and-stone hut.
When I walked into the house and closed the door, it was completely dark.
Sander was just about to fumble for an oil lamp when a soft light appeared overhead, illuminating the room completely.
Agu then stepped forward, holding a water balloon the size of a skull.
Strangely enough, before this, Xander had not noticed that Agu was holding something in his hand.
I saw a terrifying little fish with a human face swimming in this clear, slightly flooded water balloon.
"Harm!" At first glance, Sander was startled, especially the little fish seemed to see Sander "poof" out of the water balloon with half of his face.
Although the fish quickly shrank back, it still scared Xander so much that he almost sat on the ground.
Agu raised his chin, "What, can't you recognize it?" β
As he spoke, he raised his hand and threw the water balloon into Sander's arms.
The water balloon hit Sander's chest and rolled down his clothes, and he subconsciously raised his hand to hold it.
There were only a few water stains on the clothes, and the water balloon was cold when I held it.
The terrifying human-faced fish once again burrowed half of its body and spat out a slit of water at Tander.
Xander stared at the mermaid tightly, the fear on his face slowly turning to consternation.
"Honey, Midor?!"
Next Chapter, Night!
No way, I've been too busy lately. In a hurry.
