Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Civilization of Kiriel
The space-time fault, home to the Kiriel people.
In the dark space-time that cannot be described in human words, a mass of spiritual entities rushed into the gate of time and space without fear of death, rushing to the material world they dreamed of.
No one knows when the Kiriel appeared in the space-time fault.
In this space-time fault where life from different dimensions live, the Kiriel people are very special, but not special.
Because the Kiriel are not the original life in the fault of time and space, but a civilized race sublimated from the material world.
In the vast galaxy of the universe and the vast endless sea of stars, the civilizations born in it have countless development routes.
However, no matter how the route of civilization develops, it will generally break away from its home planet and become a powerful civilization at the cosmic level.
However, since there are civilizations in the world that look up at the starry sky of the universe, there must be no shortage of races that explore the inner part of the spirit.
Generally speaking, such races are often due to the lack of resources on the planet, which makes them unable to leave the home planet and rush into the universe.
For the continuation of life, but also for the continuation of the race.
These congenitally deficient civilizations will spiritualize and digitize the consciousness of individual members, and then upload them to the virtual network.
In this way, these civilizations can reduce the consumption of resources as much as possible and continue to exist for as long as possible.
In the vast majority of cases, these inherently deficient civilizations will gradually die out as a result, until they become the tombstones of civilizations for other civilizations to explore.
There is only a rare chance that these civilizations will be resurrected by some chance and become a member of the silicon-based civilization.
In fact, there are even some silicon-based civilizations in the universe that will deliberately seek out such congenitally deficient civilizations and make them their own.
After all, silicon-based civilizations are different from carbon-based civilizations, and they do not mandate internal racial consistency.
Anyway, no matter what race the joiner originally is, they will eventually be transformed into a completely mechanical body little by little.
A civilization like the one that only exists with consciousness and body but has died out is simply an opportunity for a silicon-based civilization to massively increase the number of individuals in a short period of time.
There is no doubt that the original Kiriel were such a civilization.
Due to the lack of resources on the home planet, the Kiriel people simply cannot reach the ticket to the cosmic civilization, and they are deeply aware of this.
So, in order not to let their civilization die.
The original Kiriel made a decision that all congenitally deficient civilizations would make - to enter a virtual network to preserve their own civilization fire.
However, unlike the average civilization that is congenitally deficient, the Kiriel do not have full access to the virtual world.
Instead, in order to keep civilization moving forward, the Kiri-El decided to let ordinary members enter the virtual world, while elite individuals remained in the real world.
Due to the massive reduction in population size, the remaining resources are sufficient for elite individuals to conduct further research.
At the same time, the Kiri-El people are well aware that a single individual is not enough to move the entire civilization forward.
Therefore, the elite individuals who stay in the real world will upload new research results to the online world as soon as possible, so that other individuals living in the virtual world can learn.
When the number of elite individuals in the real world is reduced to a certain level.
The remaining individuals will resurrect a fellow from the virtual world through cloning technology.
After a rigorous selection process, this fellow who has returned to the real world will have a better knowledge and technical experience than the previous individual.
With just a few adaptations, he was able to inherit the former's workflow and build on that foundation to further advance civilization.
And so on, and so on.
The original Kiriel people finally succeeded in sublimating their race and progressing their civilization before the resources of their home planet were exhausted.
Maybe it's because of the experience of their own race, or maybe it's because of differences in the development of civilization......
In short, the Kiri-El people did not take the "lift-off route" like a normal civilization, but became a more bizarre and mysterious spiritual civilization.
Because in an unexpected experiment, the Kiriel people discovered a space-time fault far from the physical world.
There is no concept of matter, there is only the fantasy rule of influencing reality with spirit......
For a normal civilization, it is a dead and silent place of nothingness, a place of no use.
But for the Kiriel people, who have entered cyberspace en masse, it is a place where they can perfectly engage and integrate with the virtual world.
So, for a long time afterward, the Kiriel were studying how to enter that space-time fault.
Especially for the elite individuals of the material world, it is better to go to space than to exhaust the resources of the home star, and then look for such an insignificant glimmer of life in the infinite space.
It's better to go into the space-time fault and let the entire civilization continue in another way.
It must be mentioned here that the criteria for the selection of "elite individuals" by the Kiri-El people have never been based on strength and technology, but on a more coarse morality.
An elite individual who can be left in the real world by the Kiriel people.
Basically, they belong to the kind of sages who have a strong spirit of self-sacrifice and are willing to do anything for the advancement of the race.
Only such an existence can eliminate one's selfishness to the greatest extent and burn oneself for the progress and continuation of the race.
These elites have never pursued individual survival.
They want everyone to live, and they want every individual in civilization to be able to no longer be limited by material things.
For them, space-time fault is undoubtedly a more rational and sensible choice than the starry sky of the universe.
As a result, the original Kiri-El undoubtedly achieved their goal, perpetuating the entire race and civilization.
From that day on, the Kiri-El people officially broke away from the embrace of their home planet and became a unique spiritual civilization.
In the fault of time and space, the people of Kiri-El no longer have to worry about the lack of materials, nor do they have to fear the sudden and complete extinction one day.
Compared with the vast and boundless starry sky of the universe, the space-time fault is also a universe on another level.
It's a pity that the first Kiri-El people didn't think about a very important question from beginning to end - are the Kiri-El who have left the physical world really still Kiri-El?
When the first fish climbed onto land, they evolved into reptiles......
When a surface civilization rushes into the universe, they are naturally no longer the original surface creatures......
The evolution of the environment, the choice of creatures, and the advancement of science and technology will make the original creatures no longer what they are.
Not to mention, the Kiriel people have entered the space-time fault from the material world, and the changes that have occurred in this are far more complex than normal biological evolution and civilization sublimation.
Abandon the flesh, give up the material, give up civilization, and even give up everything that can be given up......
The original Kiri-El, who had only left a slight imprint of their minds, left only a virtual network of racial wisdom and infinite possibilities for their descendants.
