Chapter Seventy-Seven: Borrowing Money
On Wednesday, a week after receiving the letter from school, the Weasleys took them with them to buy textbooks.
It took half a month for Harry and Ron to review their first-year homework to Hermione's satisfaction under Hermione's pressure, and Hermione finally let them go and told them the secret that they could use magic at will in the wizarding family.
Harry and Ron regretted it at this time, they knew that Hermione would tell them this, they wouldn't have cheated before, and they only finished their homework until now.
Then when they asked, they learned that Maple had already known the secret, but in fact, it didn't matter if Maple knew the secret, he could use magic anywhere without a trace.
The thought of Maple and them having started practicing magic so many days before themselves made Harry envious, so for the next few days, they also avoided Mrs. Weasley and tried all the magic they wanted to perform.
The excuse to avoid Mrs. Weasley was also found, they wanted to go out and practice Quidditch, and then take turns to experience Harry's broomstick, and after learning that Ron had reviewed all of last year's homework, Mrs. Weasley was allowed to go.
It's just that Fred and George were forced by Mrs. Weasley to review their homework because of their failing grades, and they couldn't hang out with Harry and them.
While Harry and the others were having fun, Maple found the Weasley brothers.
"What are you kidding? Are you asking us to borrow money? When the Weasley brothers heard that Maple had asked them to borrow money, they thought they had misheard.
"Yes, don't you want to buy new books, I don't have enough money, so I have to borrow some from you first." Speaking of borrowing money, there was no trace of unnaturalness on Maple's face, I don't know whether to say that he has good psychological quality or that he has a thick skin.
"Where's your money?"
"It's all spent!"
"Awesome, how did you do that?" The Weasley brothers exclaimed.
"It's not easy to spend money, it's gone!"
Maple borrowed fifty Galleons directly, but there was no trace of embarrassment on his face, just after talking about the school, he would just deduct it from their next dividend.
"By the way, you have so much money now, why don't you take out some of it for your sister, you can't let a girl wear a second-hand witch robe to school!" Maple suddenly remembered Ginny and said.
"We want to too, but there has to be an explanation for how the money came from, and you don't want your mother to find out our secret!"
"Well," Maple couldn't help frowning, and after a while he had an idea, "It's not easy, Harry is a big sum, it would be nice to borrow some from him and write an IOU." ”
"Even if you borrow Harry a hundred Galleons, you can pay him back as soon as you get to school."
"Doesn't that reveal a secret in us?"
"Hey, if Percy were Percy, he'd definitely write to your mom to complain. But if it were Harry, it would be possible for them to find the answer on their own, just as they had been to follow the clues of the Philosopher's Stone in the first place! ”
"Sometimes I wonder how Percy was chosen to Gryffindor House, it's not like us at all!" Fred said, and George nodded in agreement.
"Looks like we're going to have to play hide and seek with the three little tails when we go to the Forbidden Forest this semester!" But looking at the Weasley brothers' expressions, they didn't find it troublesome at all, but thought it was more interesting.
When Harry and the others returned, the Weasley brothers immediately pulled Harry aside and quietly discussed the matter of borrowing money, and Harry agreed without saying a word when he heard that it was to buy clothes for Ginny. The kind-hearted Harry didn't even want them to pay them back, but the Weasley brothers didn't agree to anything, and Harry accepted the IOU anyway.
"Harry, we will pay you back slowly when we work and earn money in the future!"
"Don't charge us interest, we can't afford it!" After George finished speaking, Fred also said half-jokingly.
But Harry said earnestly, "I don't want interest!" ”
yes, if you marry Ginny away, you'll have to pay the Weasleys!"
The pleasant days passed quickly, and by Wednesday, Mrs. Weasley woke them up early in the morning. As they had finished their breakfast and put on their coats, Mrs. Weasley was surprised when she saw the small half pot of Floo powder on the kitchen fireplace, but then sighed, "This kid! ”
The group then made their way to Diagon Alley through Floo Powder, and Harry, because of the discomfort and discomfort of the first flame flight, thought to himself that it would be good to stop before he reached Diagon Alley.
Floo Powder complied and stopped at the next Tipple Alley, which was only a stop away from the fireplace in Diagon Alley, but Harry tragically made it to Tumbledown Alley.
Luckily, though, the timing of their visit to buy the textbooks hasn't changed, and naturally, Hagrid will still show up in time to save Harry.
When the Weasleys and their family came out of the diagon alley fireplace, Hermione and Maple were already waiting.
"Where's Harry?" Maple knew the situation, but he deliberately played dumb.
"He seems to have made a mistake, oh my God, what if he loses it?" Mrs. Weasley is going mad.
"Where was the last fireplace on the diagon alley fireplace?" Maple asked.
"Tumble Alley!" Mr. Weasley said, then asked, puzzled, "What are you asking this for?" ”
"Since Harry came out early, let's try it one by one, and we can always find Harry." Saying that, Maple sprinkled a handful of Floo powder directly into it, but Mr. Weasley wanted to stop it but it was too late, Maple had already shouted "Tumble Alley".
The thrill-seeking Weasley brothers then join in, but only George enters, and Fred is a step behind and is held back by his mother.
Harry had disappeared, and they weren't big enough to make Mrs. Weasley angry, but the dead friend didn't die poor, so let Fred bear Mrs. Weasley's wrath for now.
"Molly, you're here to look after Ron and them, I'll go look for them!" Mr. Weasley said to Mrs. Weasley, who was already a little overwhelmed.
"Well, be careful! Tumbledown Alley is not a clean place! Mrs. Weasley instructed, and Mr. Weasley left with Floo powder, but Fred, who remained there, was torn by Mrs. Weasley's ears and twisted over and over again.
Fred endured the torture and envied George and them, and at the same time complained in his heart that they were too unrighteous and left him behind.
After Harry came out of the fireplace in Tumbledown Alley, he didn't stay where he was and wait for rescue, but walked around Tumbledown Alley.
However, because Mr. Weasley had raided all the contraband in Malfoy's house, Harry didn't meet Lucius here with his son to sell here.
"George, Mr. Weasley, you're here too!" Maple said, then pointing to the movement on the ground that had been left on the ground because Harry had fallen out of the fireplace, and said, "We're lucky that Harry seems to be here!" ”
"Great, then let's go find him!" Mr. Weasley said.
"Aren't you lost, darling?" A voice suddenly sounded in his ears, startling Harry, who was wandering aimlessly in Tumbledown Alley.
An old witch stood in front of him, holding a plate that resembled a whole piece of a dead man's fingernails. She squinted at Harry, revealing mossy teeth.
Seeing Harry's panicked appearance, the old witch immediately saw his details, a completely defenseless little wizard who had accidentally stepped here, was simply the easiest prey!
But before he could do anything, a warning red light was emitted, startling her, and the nails in her hands spilled all over the ground.
"Harry!"
"Harry!" Mr. Weasley, they and Hagrid spotted Harry at the same time, and when they saw so many of them, the old witch sighed that she was unlucky, and cursed in her heart and ran away.
"Hagrid! Mr. Weasley! Maple! George! Harry excitedly called out their names one by one.
"Okay, don't be in a hurry to say hello, come with me and meet everyone, Mo Lidu is about to die of worry!"
"Clean up!" Maple cleaned up the soot from Harry's body.
"Hagrid, how did you get here?" Harry asked.
"I'm looking for a medicine to repel the carnivorous slugs, which are running out of cabbage at school. By the way, how did you get to Tumbledown Alley? Hagrid said in a gruff voice.
"It's me," Harry said embarrassedly, "it's me who went through the wrong door when I used Floo Powder. ”
"I see." Hagrid understood, and as he walked he asked again, "Why don't you write me back?" ”
So Harry told Dobby again.
"House-elves!" Mr. Weasley was stunned, he knew that house-elves were only owned by wealthy wizard families, and he also didn't expect Dobby to be a strange freak among house-elves, "Who sent this house-elf to frame Harry, and what is his purpose?" ”
Similarly, Mr. Weasley's first suspicion came to mind was the Malfoys. It's just that Ron thinks of Draco, and Mr. Weasley thinks of Lucius. Mr. Weasley probably thinks that Harry was targeted because of his sensitive identity for defeating the Dark Lord!
They soon met up with Mrs. Weasley, who was guarding the fireplace in Diagon Alley, and Hagrid said goodbye to them and left.
Seeing Mr. Weasley and the others bring Harry back safely, Mrs. Weasley was relieved. Then, before buying textbooks, they had to go to Gringotts Bank, go to their underground vault, and withdraw the money.
Hermione came with Floo powder this time, her parents didn't come together, and if she wanted to change money, she could exchange it for Galleons at the counter with the school's notice, but since she was here, Hermione was also very curious about Gringotts Bank, so she went down with her.
