Chapter 143: The Covenant Event

The more people feel that there is not enough time, the more time slips away from them.

Two weeks passed in the blink of an eye, and the pact unicorn festival began.

Hogwarts has dazzled the school like a grand festival, and this time the school is decorated in the same color as the unicorn's body in silver.

Over the course of two weeks, while the students were working on their spells, the professors took the time to renovate the school's Quidditch pitch to be used as a venue for events.

On this day, all the teachers and students of the school came to the Quidditch pitch. When they arrived, the students all had strange expressions on their faces, and the Quidditch pitch was now completely devoid of the appearance of an arena. Inside, the students felt as if they were in the Forbidden Forest.

A clearing space was set aside in the center as a stage for the contract, and the rest of the place was replaced by a dense variety of trees, from which leaves fell from time to time.

Maple took a fallen leaf with her hand and rubbed it with her hand, the texture of the leaf was like substance. But Maple knew that it was like the leprechaun's gold coins, just a magical effect, and that they would probably disappear after the event ended.

After all the students and teachers had taken their seats in the trees, Dumbledore also came to the center of the stage to speak.

"This is an exciting time, and it represents a new moment in the history of our friendship between wizards and unicorns. I would like to start by thanking and commending an outstanding student from our school。。。。。。 Dumbledore spoke the opening remarks of the event on stage, the students were all silent, and the photographer of the Daily Prophet was excitedly shooting, he had prepared enough film for the event to capture all the wonderful shots without missing a beat.

In addition to the photographers and reporters of the Daily Prophet, the Ministry of Magic also sent a representative, but not at the ministerial level. Apparently the Ministry of Magic didn't take the Hogwarts event very seriously, and they seemed to agree with Fudge that it was a child's game for Dumbledore to take out the unicorn and contract it with the students who had not graduated.

And in order to compete with Dumbledore, Fudge set the start of the wizarding world and the unicorn pact activity on this day. Although with Dumbledore's help, Fudge had a unicorn to prepare for the event, Fudge put the matter behind him in the blink of an eye.

Although there were no heavyweights in the wizarding world other than Dumbledore's friends who cheered Dumbledore on, the Daily Prophet did not ignore Dumbledore's influence.

And a reporter from the Daily Prophet seems to be more optimistic about Hogwarts, and instead of praising Fudge's stinky feet, she came to Hogwarts for an interview, and she seems to think that she can dig up more interesting news here.

The reporter for the Daily Prophet was a witch in a magenta robe, and her hair was strangely curly and awkwardly matched with her big-jawed face.

She also wore a pair of glasses, just like most people would see as a standard journalist, except that her glasses were studded with valuable jewelry, and there was a shrewd and cunning look in her eyes behind them, which did not look like an easy person.

There was a stack of parchment in front of her, but she did not write it by hand, a shorthand quill pen automatically began to write on the parchment.

Hermione inadvertently saw the female reporter's actions, and immediately showed a look of disgust, and Maple didn't expect that Rita Skeeter's nasty ghost would appear in his sight so soon at the instigation of his butterfly wings.

"Well, you can't wait, now, let's invite our friend Unicorn to appear." As soon as Dumbledore's words fell, five unicorns appeared on the scene one after another.

Seeing the beautiful and elegant figure of the unicorn, the atmosphere of the scene immediately reached a climax, especially the girls present, all of whom couldn't help but scream with excitement. Each of them was eager to jump to the unicorns and take them into their arms.

Not only did the girls at the scene immediately overflow with love, but even the boys couldn't help but be fascinated by unicorns. Harry had mostly stopped his eyes on Hagrid after seeing him appear on the scene, and he was the happiest of their friends when Hagrid was safe.

However, after the unicorn appeared, Harry was immediately attracted to this mysterious and holy creature, and he couldn't leave it after his eyes moved to the unicorn. Harry, like the others, immediately had a burning desire to contract a unicorn to be his companion.

In the midst of the excitement of the students, even Dumbledore took a lot of effort to calm the students down again.

Then, in anticipation, Dumbledore announced the start of the Pact.

The order of contract participation starts with the lower grades, and the junior students cheered, but the senior students were not too disappointed. They probably think that the junior students are just going through the motions, and they are the real protagonists today.

Professor McGonagall took the list of students in the school and began to read them one by one, starting with the junior students.

Presumably to show fairness, Professor McGonagall placed the names of her Gryffindor students at the end of each year. However, Professor McGonagall was not without temper, and she put the name of Slytherin House in the penultimate place.

"Fly, fly, fly!" There weren't many spells mastered by first-year students, and the one they used the most was the Levitation Charm, but even this simple spell wasn't much of a mastery among them.

The young wizards of the first year all went up in high spirits, but soon they were doused with a book of cold water, their faces flushed, and their heads hung like pickled eggplants.

But whether the spell succeeded or failed, Dumbledore brought them to the center of the stage, where there was a contract magic circle set up by Dumbledore himself. Dumbledore had a unicorn step into the magic circle, and then asked the students to step into the circle and place their hands on the unicorn's horn.

But none of the first-year students allowed Dumbledore's contract magic array to light up, which meant that no one was approved by the unicorn.

Dumbledore comforted each of the failed students, but it didn't work much, and the first-year students all sighed when they returned to their seats, and their faces couldn't hide their loss.

It wasn't until it was the turn of the second-year students to appear that they saw that their seniors had also suffered heavy defeats one after another, and the first-year students felt a lot better.

"Draco Malfoy!" Before Malfoy went up, he also wanted to perform well, just like before buying a lottery ticket, everyone was fantasizing about how many prizes they won. But the heart is higher than the sky, the luck is thinner than paper, and it is always so unacceptable when revealing the results of the award.

Malfoy left disappointed, and then began to comfort himself in his heart.

It's not that I can't do it, it's that the level of second-year students can't do it at all!

And then soon he was slapped in the face-

"Maple Arribas!"

After reading the list of second-year Slytherin students, the first name of the second-year Gryffindor student that Professor McGonagall read was Maple, and Professor McGonagall seemed to have a lot of confidence in Maple and wanted him to open the show and give Gryffindor House the first glory of the event.

Professor McGonagall was expectant, while Snape pursed his lips, seemingly unhappy with Maple's appearance.

"Divine Guard!" Maple used the Patronus Charm, but he used the Silent Charm. A black bat emerges from Maple's wand, but except for a few people who are very familiar with Maple, no one else can see that Maple is releasing a Patronus, and think that what he is releasing is just an ordinary or even ugly shapeshifter.

Many of the Slytherin snakes who don't deal with Maple sneer, and they seem to think that Maple has done something stupid. Not only does an ugly bat not show any superiority in Maple's magical skills, but an ugly bat that looks black will disgust the unicorn.

It's just that soon their disdain and ridicule turn into incomprehension and disbelief because Maple actually succeeded.

After Maple placed his hand on the unicorn's horn, there seemed to be human joy in the unicorn's eyes.

Although the unicorn that Dumbledore contracted to the students did not look very old, as if they had just come of age. But adult unicorns develop an aversion to men and a closeness to women.

Even if the unicorn doesn't plan to contract a girl partner, it will show affection when they approach.

But now the unicorn is even more intimate with a male witch than it is with a witch, which even the professors are a little puzzled by.

Maple knew why, because he gave his life to save a unicorn, he received the uncursed unicorn blood that the other unicorn gave before he died.

Although the unicorn's magic on Maple's body is now extremely dim, the smell of his fusion unicorn blood can still be easily smelled by unicorns.

To be able to get the blood that a unicorn willingly gives to remove the curse is to become a friend of all unicorns.

Under everyone's surprised gaze, the magic contract array, which had been silent all this time, finally lit up with a silver light.

As the silver light gradually occupied every part of the magic circle
