Chapter 161: Ominous Prophecy
I am fortunate to have gained, but I have lost my life. After learning that he didn't have the talent for prophecy, Maple regretted it, but he didn't have much disappointment.
But Hermione didn't seem to be able to accept that she couldn't do it in a certain direction, and after being brutally abused by the half-blood prince's old textbooks a few years later, Hermione was a little unreasonable to look around for the prince's fault.
Hermione hadn't had to look through the textbook to memorize the contents of the prophecy textbook to see the future, but that didn't help her open the eyes that Professor Trelawney was talking about.
Harry and Ron were visibly confused by the shape of the tea pomace, but Hermione was disappointed to find that she wasn't much better off than they were.
Instead of pulling out something as far-fetched as Ron did, all Hermione saw was a chaotic pile of tea dregs. Hermione spent a lot of time memorizing the textbook without getting anything out of it, which inevitably made Hermione feel disgusted with the course.
It's not that I can't do it, it's that you have a problem with this course. Ever since Hermione's flying lessons were unsatisfactory, she hadn't been a big fan of Quidditch. It's just a few balls, what's there to be excited about!
Now, after the flying lesson, Hermione has a new subject that she is not good at.
"It looks like an animal, if that's its head, it looks like a hippopotamus, no, a sheep...
Ron flipped over the teacup, trying to make out the shape of the animal he had just spotted.
When Harry couldn't help but laugh, Trelawney turned his gaze as if he had been guided by something, and then couldn't take his eyes off Harry when he saw it.
Professor Trelawney usually talks about the burden of the Celestial Eye, but she is like Voldemort's Parseltongue to him, and she uses her abilities as a tool to show off.
It was probably because she had always made accurate predictions, but she didn't know what they meant, and when Harry relayed them to her after she had made the real predictions, she had taken them as absurd lies.
"Let me see, dear." Professor Trelawney's mouth was polite, but the movements in his hands were indecent, and he was almost snatching Harry's teacup from Ron's hand.
Professor Trelawney spun the teacup in the opposite direction, and then quickly saw something: "Falcon, you have a mortal enemy. β
"Everybody knows that," Hermione said aloud, presumably believing that the divination was full of lies, "we all know about Harry and the mystery man. β
Although Hermione was deliberately making trouble, she still kept her senses and did not call out Voldemort's name directly in front of the students.
Professor Trelawney glared at Hermione, displeased, but quickly ignored her.
Compared to Harry's delicious meal, Hermione was just an unpleasant episode.
"Big stick, an attack! Oh my God, oh my God, it's not a pleasant cup. β
This is presumably a reference to Harry's next encounter in Quidditch.
The more Professor Trelawney turned the teacup, the more she saw, and she had never seen so many calamities from a student. Seeing the joy of the hunt, Professor Trelawney's face became more and more excited.
"Skeleton, your future is fraught with danger!"
Harry carries the aura of the protagonist, and there are indeed many disasters around him. Only now, is he still the absolute protagonist?
Professor Trelawney continued to flip the glass, and Maple knew he was about to prophesy the ominousβ
"Ominous! The big dog roaming in the cemetery, that is an ominous omen, a sign of death! β
Neville's cup flew out and slammed into Harry's teacup, which shattered and scattered the tea leaves all over the floor.
Maple felt that he could reverse Sirius's tragic fate, but at this moment he did not want to, or rather dare not, let Professor Trelawney speak out of his ominous prophecy.
It was as if after it was spoken through her mouth, the fate foretold by the prophecy would be difficult to change.
Professor Trelawney splashed the tea foam on her face, a little embarrassed, but what made her even more annoyed was that her hard-earned interest was interrupted.
Professor Trelawney turned her gaze to Hermione, the object of suspicion that immediately came to her mind.
While everyone else had a panicked look on their faces after the sudden change, Hermione still had the same look of disbelief on her face, which seemed to add to her suspicions.
Professor Trelawney seemed to be acting out of professional habit, glaring at Hermione and subconsciously glancing at her teacup.
Immediately, the unhappiness on Professor Trelawney's face vanished, and the look of excitement she had seen when she touched Harry's teacup as if she had found prey returned.
"In the fog, everything about you seems to be in a haze. What a strange teacup! Professor Trelawney muttered, and Hermione couldn't help but turn her gaze to Maple beside her, who she was naturally looking at Maple's tea leaves.
Professor Trelawney seemed to be struggling with the tea, and after quickly reversing the teacup a few times, he suddenly said excitedly: "The future seems to be clear again!" β
Trelawney's interest grew, and she soon showed no less interest in Maple's teacup than Harry.
"A dark cloud that persists, and your future has been shrouded in dark shadows."
"Another flash of lightning, oh my God, blood-colored lightning, your life will be accompanied by endless killing."
"Oh my God! My dear child, my poor child, no, it's better not to say it! β
"Professor, what exactly do you see?" The more Professor Trelawney was like this, the more students couldn't help but ask.
Besides, with Trelawney's character, how could he not resist saying it.
"My dear, you have an ominous one!" Professor Trelawney's eyes widened, and his body seemed to tremble, "I saw a big black snake, a big snake roaming in the cemetery, and it will take away your most important thing!" β
Maple narrowed his eyes, the resurrection of Voldemort, and the sneaky shadows that had been operating in the shadows since the beginning of the Philosopher's Stone, the dark clouds seemed inevitable.
As for the killing, Maple didn't care, maybe under the blood-colored lightning, it was the blood of the enemy.
The big black snake roaming in the cemetery, is it Voldemort's Nagini?
Is he going to face Voldemort for the third time when he resurrects?
The full body of Voldemort, Maple is not an opponent yet. However, Maple is not particularly worried, this is just Trelawney's usual prediction, not her real prediction, and everything is still maneuvering.
Wait, the real prophecy!
Harry made up the Hippogriff when he looked at the crystal ball, and then said that Buckbeak had not been executed, and that it had flown away freely.
And then Buckbeak was really saved, saved by Harry's own hands.
But after Harry concocted the lie that Buckbeak would be executed, Trelawney came up with a real prophecy of Voldemort's rebirth.
I don't know if the actual prophecy has anything to do with Harry's rescue of Buckbeak, but it seems similar to what happened to Maple today.
Maple prevented Harry's ominous prophecy from being announced, intending to change Sirius's fate in the future, and he himself was prophesied doom.
Is this just a coincidence, or is it the price of "changing the existing destiny"?
