Recommend a book, Lonely Island World
A book in the genre fantasy, but in a very sci-fi style.
The title of the book may not be brilliant (No Sword's Heart: What a broken title!), but when it comes to the author, many fantasy readers may have the impression that the prodigal son of the capital who wrote "Yara's Adventure Notes" is great.
That's right, it's the 10,000-word one, the work of an uncle who pulls beautiful girls all over the world, which is well-known in the hearts of many readers, and it can be described as a clear stream of fantasy.
But the prodigal son's new book is very different from the previous one full of righteousness, "Yala", for example, the style is much more somber and gloomy.
Some readers may not be used to it, but others may enjoy his post-war worldview in the Gothic style.
An author, after getting used to the original style of writing, is determined to change the runway and try to innovate, this is an adventure, but also a kind of courage, no matter what the result is, Wujian must first affirm this attempt - hey, even if you don't like it, you have to contribute a few clicks to collect, otherwise a minority Qingliu writer like the prodigal son is forced by the market to write routine essays!
And then on itself.
The narrative of this book is very interesting, first using flashbacks to depict the legendary character Lily at the beginning, and then leading to three interesting (nt) protagonists:
A crow that is clever (nr) and poor-beaked ().
The rose of exuberance (c) in the midst of bloody violence
A bisexual female leopard with a cute (db).
Obviously, starting with the crow, probably everyone has a bitter and bitter past, and the story begins with the first encounter of the trio.
I am convinced of the character creation skills in this book, although the number of words is not much, but there is a previous book as proof: the characters in "Yara Notes" are vivid and real, and seem to be within reach, with very few shriveled paper figures and vases.
The writing of this book is also K, after all, it is an old pen that has written 10,000 words "Yala", the writing is smooth, the narrative is concise (compared to a 10,000-word protagonist is still a year old street book), there is no obstacle and stagnation in reading.
Secondly, the Prodigal Son's ability to break the world setting is obvious to all, as can be seen in "Yara", this time he chose a dark and gloomy and gothic post-war world (in fact, it is more sci-fi-oriented), and he dug a big hole in the prologue at the beginning (the "door" to change the world?), I don't know what surprises he will give.
Conventionally, let's take a look at the shortcomings I see as a reader:
The first few chapters were long paragraphs, which made it quite difficult to read, but fortunately things have improved since then.
The personalities of the characters are too "distinct", especially the three protagonists, to an unimaginable extent, to a certain extent, with the exaggerated effect of a stage drama, but it is not easy for impatient readers to have a sense of substitution.
The narrative technique is more complex, especially the flashback from the first volume to the second volume, and the transition from the present to the first encounter, which is easy to make people feel confused, as for whether this is the case, you can judge for yourself.
One sentence evaluation: the gothic valuable innovation experiment of the old author of the fresh running group.
