Volume I: The End of the Outlaw 24

From the beginning of the embarrassment to open the mouth to the later of course. Hunger made me know that I don't have to have a face now, because I don't have a face at all.

Think back to the past. Whether it's for the woman I like or the job. Thin-skinned turned out to be the source of my sad life.

When I begged like a dog, I really knew that my so-called self-esteem came entirely from my parents. Because now no one gives me money, no one cooks for me, no one asks me if I'm hungry, and no one asks me if I'm dressed warmly.

I wasted the years I should cherish the most, and I neglected the people I should care about the most. The wanderers miss you out there......

Walking on the road during the day is slightly better, but the hardest part is every night.

Since it is his own choice, he can only grit his teeth and stick to it. There is no turning back...... After all, turning back is not necessarily better than going on, and it is also more distant. I've thought about it countless times, and I've wondered if I do this, will I regret it one day when I face any result? I've given myself countless opportunities to prepare, but when it's really time to come, what else can I do but try to lie to myself to believe and accept the result, so that I don't regret it as much as possible?

To be a dog is to be like a dog. This hateful entanglement, the pitiful tangled.

As I stepped through the walls of Soladin and onto the land of Hillsbrad, I suddenly realized something. When there are too many dogs, they may always be dogs.

Autumn in Hillsbrad is golden. The leaves of the trees covered the earth with a yellow blanket. At noon, I always feel that if there is this layer of fallen leaves, it will be very warm underground at night.

Some grass roots are sweet, some wild fruits are sour, some bird eggs can be plucked out, and some dead animals can be eaten as long as they are not sour and spoiled, if they are lucky enough to encounter them.

It's getting colder. In the morning there was fog and frost. I miss the warmth of the city, it was really cold in the wilderness.

Finally, before the first snow fell, I came to that familiar and strange place - Tarummere.

The town of Tarummere is much bigger than I remembered.

The bread I begged a few days ago is so hard that I can knock my teeth out. Wrapped tightly around my body, I couldn't hold the heat I had, and I desperately wanted to find a place to live, even if it was a shack.

People come and go on the streets, and they all avoid me. I felt the gaze of the people around me, and I kept my head down as much as I could, wrapping myself tightly and avoiding pedestrians as much as possible. Suddenly, I was grabbed by the collar and dragged me aside. I turned my head and glared, it was a couple of patrolmen!

Then he kicked me in the stomach and I sat on the ground.

"If you use this kind of look again, the eyeballs will step out for you, and you will stink." The guy who kicked me had hatred written all over his face.

I twisted my lowered head and slowly climbed to the side. The man who kicked me spat at me, and several of them laughed and walked away. Rising from the ground, I looked around at the people around me, all of whom had more or less contempt and disgust in their eyes.

"Get out of the way, don't get in the way! It's unlucky! There was a scolding from behind. I squinted and turned my head to glare at him. As a result, someone kicked him to the ground again, and it was the small vendor of the stall. I just got up and wanted to tear it up with the man. There were a few people selling things around.

When I saw that it was not good, I scolded and ran into the alley next to it.

I really wanted to go back and tear up the stall for him, and I wanted to take revenge on them, but looking at the surrounding environment, I still forcibly dispelled this idea. I have become a beggar. I don't know if the person who killed me needs to compensate the city security administration for a few copper plates now that I am being beaten to death in this capacity.

Gritting my teeth, wandering aimlessly through the alleys, I don't know if I'll be able to find a place to live, but I have to beg for a bite to eat.

I remembered the visions of those grand causes, the world behind me when I opened my eyes, and looked at the piece of dry and hard bread in my hand, and tears welled up instantly.

There's no need to wander anymore!

Even in Lordaeron, I was still a beggar. I need to get a job instead of begging like this. I should be able to do some odd jobs or something, even if it's a laborer. I have to live first!

I opened my eyes and stared blankly at the streets and pedestrians in front of me, and struggled to survive another night. Although the sunlight shining on my body gave me a little comfort, the sunlight was not warm yet.

I touched the only small piece of bread left in my pocket, I couldn't find a way to survive today, and tomorrow I will be completely out of food! I tried to ask the early pedestrians on the road where I could find work, and the answer I got was to go to the tavern, where odd jobs were available.

It's okay to do odd jobs, you don't have to worry about how many silver coins you make a day, even if you earn a few copper plates, you should be able to survive! Even if you really can't do it, as long as you can manage the food, you can do it.

There was no one at the door of the tavern early in the morning. I leaned against the wall outside the tavern and stomped my feet in the sun, trying to warm my body with no food in my stomach. But after waiting for a long time, I didn't see anyone passing by.

I decided to go into the tavern and ask.

In the tavern, two drunks were sleeping soundly on the table. Four of them sat at the bar. There are idle guys who come to drink so early.

They heard my footsteps and turned their heads to look at me, and I looked at them.

"Beggars can't come in." A bearded guy pointed at me.

"I'm just here to inquire about something."

"Get out, this isn't the place for you to come."

"Are you the boss?"

"You can't come in. You lowly beggar. Get out of the way and beg. ”

"I'm not a beggar." I retorted.

"Oh, he said he's not a beggar, he's really backbone." A balding guy grinned and shouted, "You've soiled the floor here and your eyes have dirty." ”

Looks like they're not going to talk to me properly.

"Well, with a rotten person like you here, it must be no different from a toilet, maggots are always around the dung pit."

"I really don't know where you got the courage to do this cheap thing." A balding guy jumped off a stool.

"Okay, I'll go, I accidentally stepped into the pit and disturbed the maggot gathering in the pit, I'm sorry." I took a few steps back.

"You want to die." The balding guy walked over.

"Although I will not be polite to maggots in the manure pit, and certainly I will not step into the. If maggots have to climb on my feet, I'll trample him to death. I took a few more steps back.

The balding guy reached out and grabbed me.

Flashing back, the cane made of twigs was slammed directly into his knees.

He fell to his knees with weak legs. The three people next to him stood up. Seeing that it was not good, I stepped back, picked up my cane and shook it around, and I flashed to the side.

The four men pulled out the daggers in their waists.

I didn't want to be stabbed, and I didn't want to die, so I turned around and ran out of the tavern. The four guys also chased it out. I wanted to run into the alley, but a guy was blocking my way.

Pedestrians on the road stopped and stood aside. They should be watching how a beggar is beaten to death by them. In a moment they will have a fresh conversation about how the beggar was beaten and his face was covered with blood and teeth.

I didn't want to get into trouble any longer, but I was about to turn around and run when I saw a group of guards in armor walking towards me. The leader is dressed in orange armor, and the coat of arms on his chest is a fiery red eagle with four stars around it. The man stared at me and walked towards me.

Yesterday's guards showed me mercy and righteousness in not beating beggars indiscriminately. And today's group of guards, especially the leader, seems to have been carved out of a mold.

When I turned my head to look at the four people behind me, they had already put away their daggers, and then consciously turned around and disappeared into the street. As soon as I saw that they were all flashing, I was ready to flash too. But the leader shouted at me, and the guards behind him rushed at me.

Broken!

"Outlander?" The lead guy stood in front of me, not tall, but stocky, with orange hair, eyebrows, and a beard.

"I'm a traveler. My lord. ”

"You're a foreigner, a beggar."

"I'm not a beggar."

"It's a hard-mouthed beggar, so it's not surprising that they fight in the streets."

"I just wanted to go into the tavern and warm up. I'm too cold. ”

"Qubbling makes you more annoying. Remember who you are, and that you are not welcome as a beggar in Talenmir. ”

"I'm not a beggar, my lord. I'm a traveler. ”

"You're questioning me? Or do you want to defy me? ”

"Oh no!"

"Get out of here! Immediately, roll. He whipped me and I shrank my neck, and the whip was on my shoulder.

Pushed by the guards, I was kicked out of town.

"What the are you looking at?"

I hurriedly turned my face away. I remember this guy! I want to remember this face!

The rising sun pulled my shadow for a long time, and the cold wind of the morning penetrated through my tight cloak. Pedestrians on the road looked at me, and some of them rode past me on horseback or in a car. I suddenly felt tears fill my eyes. I don't know of a better way than to greet the mothers of this group.

"This beggar has insulted us." A disgusting voice reached my ears.

"Yes!" The voice of the guard.

"I will never allow a foreigner to be disrespectful to us, he says this is a dung pit, and calls us maggots!"

"Arrest him!" The guard said.

"That would dirty our prison! I can help you teach him a good lesson and let him remember it for a long time! ”

"You'd better hurry. Also, don't get in the way. The guard raised his voice.

I turned around and ran. The bastards had just returned, and they were eager to get some exercise in the morning when they saw the attitude of the local guards towards me.

"Look! He wants to run! Someone shouted.

"Don't tell him to run!"

My legs and feet seem to be a little frozen.

Run, run! The passers-by around me seemed to be looking at me, and I guess no one would want to help a beggar like me.

My ears could clearly hear their footsteps getting closer. I swept my eyes behind me, and they were indeed getting closer and closer to me.

I can't escape!

With a sharp stop, I picked up my cane and poked at the guy running in front.

My hands seemed to be frozen. Although he didn't use much force at this time, he hit him in the face impartially. There was a slight gurgling sensation at the end of the face, presumably the cane had broken the guy's nose.

With a sharp pullback, I twisted my body and picked up the stick, blocking the other three from moving forward.

The three guys who were standing didn't expect me to make a sudden move, and when they saw their companions rolling to the ground with their faces in their arms, they consciously pulled out their knives.

So from today onwards, I'm not going to be a dog!
