Volume 2: The Storm Falls 127 Halfway through
Standing outside the village, I watched the burning village and the panicked trolls. They didn't cry, maybe the trolls weren't born to cry, they were screaming in anger and fighting the fire.
They can't sleep tonight, just like in the last village. I don't know if the trolls in the village were captured by the orcs who came to me last time. At least not for now, the village should not be, and it is already dark. They may have learned something in a moment, and now it seems that the house is gone, but it is better to wake up than to be arrested.
I rode in a tree and watched them walk around the village, how could this group of guys with lower IQs be like this? Won't they do something else? I put away my binoculars and decided to go to the last village.
When I came down from the tree to go to the previous village, two trolls rushed into the village. Looking at the way they run, it is estimated that the last village was enough to choke.
So why don't you go and see it?
I suddenly had doubts in my heart, if that village was surrounded and suppressed at this time, it would be a bit dangerous for me to go now...... Let's wait and see.
So I climbed the tree again. Sure enough, several of the trolls in the village rushed out of the village towards the next one, and another ran into the depths of the jungle.
In a few moments the trolls of the village were all dressed in neat clothes, and they were covered in rattan armor made of wood, and weapons were in their hands. It's really interesting to see this group of old and young people all holding weapons, some of them are estimated to be quite old, and their backs are bent so badly that they are still standing there with spears, and the height is indeed too uneven.
Soon, the group of trolls hurried out of the village, heading towards the next one.
It's a good thing, it's good for everyone.
I didn't think the orcs would come here during the day, but they did, and they came quickly. The scouts came first, and then a large number of troops marched directly into the village.
I hid my body behind the wide leaves, and not far in front of me there were not a few hundred orcs at all, there were at least a thousand of them.
Such large-scale sorties are quite rare, but they are not mainly killing, but more capture. And the purpose of the people who catch these jobs is not to eat them, nor to keep them as pets, let alone to breed them.
It seems that the materials needed to send more orc troops to this world are far from enough.
The red-brown-skinned orcs at the head yelled in frustration, and in a moment they marched toward the next village.
This is a problem, and the trolls in the village have been gone for a while. Seemingly...... Trolls are so lucky!
I couldn't do anything better when I thought about it, and I couldn't get around this group of orcs, let alone get around it. Such a large-scale march in the forest spread out a large area, and once they found it, the consequences were unimaginable.
Watching them drift away before I slid down the tree. Let's hope the trolls in the next village will survive, and with that in mind, I decided to go back and see the trolls they had captured......
It was not difficult to find the group of captives, they did not go fast, and the orcs tied their hands behind their backs and tied them together with ropes. The number of captured trolls was only about forty, and it was estimated that half of the trolls were not in the queue.
Counting the orcs who escorted them were only seventeen, I touched the quiver behind my buttocks, and I didn't have enough arrows for one person and one arrow. It's a problem, what should I do?
Rounding up to the front of the group as quickly as possible, I looked for a place to ambush along the way. But after looking for a long way, I didn't find any particularly suitable places, but I found a few places where it was easy for me to escape.
Choosing an easy place to escape is not only good for me, but also good for the orcs if they do. I'm crouching on the side of the road and thinking about it, so what if I choose a place where it's not easy to escape?
Hiding in the bushes on the side of the road and quietly waiting for them to appear, I finally decided to choose a place that was not easy to escape.
I feel like I should be able to control the situation, with only seventeen orcs...... If those trolls weren't that stupid, I think I had a chance.
Let's just hope the trolls don't have a low IQ.
Here they are.
The orc at the head of the line wears chain mail with a shield, and this costume is the only one in the group. To be able to dress like this is probably the head of this team.
Gently put the arrow on the string. I'm not going to wait for them to get too close before attacking, and I hope the trolls will help once the orcs get attention. At least try to escape.
Hiding in the grass behind the trees, I slowly stretched out my bow and arrows. Holding his breath, he aimed for the orc's deep eye sockets.
Closer, yes! Closer!
When they walked forward a dozen meters, the arrow on the string was launched.
Right in the eye!
The orc covered his eyes with his hand and fell back, which looked good, but I felt like I had to change the bow, and now I was using this bow a little lighter.
As soon as the orc fell to the ground, the second arrow was ready. The orc behind was stunned for a moment, and when he saw how the one in front of him had fallen, the guy had just raised his head and was very successful in catching my arrow with his head.
All of a sudden, the orcs in the team exploded. The orcs screamed for the trolls to stop and crouch into the grass by the roadside, but their orders were easily invalidated.
The trolls don't listen to orders, but try to gather in a circle. The orcs used their sticks to teach the disobedient trolls how to obey their commands. Of course, I didn't understand what the orcs were shouting, but the trolls understood it faster than I did, and they immediately crouched down very obediently.
I didn't rush to change places, not only did the trolls not know where I was, but even the escorts didn't seem to find where I was hiding.
Seventeen shot down two, and fifteen more...... I quickly changed the location.
I'm not in a hurry to attack them, and waiting is often more beneficial than attacking them directly.
In the extremely dense forest, it is almost impossible to hit people beyond twenty meters, and it is almost impossible to see people beyond fifty meters. And this place is precisely that kind of particularly dense forest.
This is actually a very dangerous thing for me, the two arrows just now just made them scared and stunned, and now that they are on guard, I have to move quickly.
Thanks to the fact that I just treated the surrounding plants a little bit before lurking, it made me more stealthy in my actions.
This time I chose an orc at the back of the line.
An arrow pierced its neck, and the guy fell to the ground in an instant. This place can't stop the bleeding, I just want to give them a little panic. At this point, instead of shooting at the penultimate at the back of the line, my second arrow was aimed at an orc at the back of the line.
Damn it! Fly over with that guy's head! Didn't hit! The guy shrank his head and yelled, and my position was instantly revealed.
I pulled out three arrows from behind me and stood up directly. The orcs have seen me! And their faces were exposed to my eyes.
When an arrow plunged directly into the gaping mouth of an orc, several of them rushed towards me.
The last arrow I could shoot successfully knocked down the orcs who were the first to charge at me, and I turned and ran.
This place that is not easy to escape from is that there are a lot of stones, and it is quite difficult to walk! And my strong ankles and my arms that have become extremely strong at some point have transformed me into a monkey that can climb trees and rocks and run and jump below.
The orcs who chased after me didn't have bows and arrows, and even if they did, they were useless, and the people who wanted to shoot me in the woods that were so difficult to walk through were not here.
I climbed a tree and climbed two or three meters, and the orcs who were chasing me were exposed. With my legs hooked around the trunk, I drew my bow and fired, and the arrow, which did not seal its throat, hit it directly in the chest.
Sliding down the tree, I started going in circles with them again.
There are eleven more, but I have only four arrows left. As I circled back to the place where I had first ambushed them, I found that the orcs had taken the trolls away. I almost burst out laughing.
I ran forward for a short while, and then I saw the orcs hurrying away, using sticks to drive the trolls away.
He shot an arrow, and the orc behind him was pierced through the heart by an arrow. The orc in front of it crouched down with great tact. The orc beyond was not so smart, but I saved his life because I was so far away from it.
The orcs from behind finally caught up, and I shot down the fastest one after waiting for a long time. Then I burrowed into the dense woods again.
The last two arrows...... Whether they can successfully rescue them depends on these two teams.
As I passed the right side of the line, the orcs roared at me, but they didn't attack me. I circled around, and when I saw an opportunity to take down another one, I saw a few trolls looking at me with their heads sticking out.
I rushed straight at the group, two orcs roaring at me with axes, and I raised my bow and shot at one of the orcs next to the group. But unfortunately, the orc was shot in the shoulder.
I threw away the bow in my hand, drew my weapon, and slashed face to face with the two orcs who rushed over. Dodging and dodging, I tried to lean towards the edge of the line, and the two orcs opened their mouths in a vain attempt to kill me in a few strokes, but this kind of wide-opening and closing action was too much strength and not enough speed.
After cutting two orcs, I threw my short dagger at the third orc who was about to rush at the side of the group.
Rolling on my side, I lunged towards the trolls. I yelled, intending to let them give me a chance to cut the rope, but the low-IQ guys apparently didn't sense my intentions.
They got together! That's right, it's not an escape, it's a gathering!
I rushed to them and slashed at the rope that was holding them, but it didn't break! But the orcs who caught up behind saw it clearly! They slashed at me with an axe, and when I dodged, they didn't stop, and the axe slashed straight into the troll's face.
The orcs rushed up, and the guy with the arrow in the shoulder came after me with an axe. Seeing that the situation is not good, I don't care so much, just run away. That's all I can do, they're up to them!
I fled in the woods, but I still wanted them to do something. I screamed and ran away, but instead of chasing me, the orcs chased me for dozens of meters and hurried back.
Seeing this, I chased back, only to see two trolls who had broken the rope and torn together with the orcs, and two orcs slashed directly at the trolls.
I leapt forward and slashed an orc in the back of the neck.
The trolls were boiling, they were all roaring loudly, and I cut down another one. I saw the trolls flock to the orcs and use their ununtied ropes to pull down the orcs who could not escape.
The remaining three orcs fled frantically into the woods. I hurried to untie the trolls, who looked at me with a curious look.
The group probably hadn't seen a human, though their parents might have fought with humans. The untied trolls stretched out their thick, large fingers and slapped my body, nodding at me as they muttered their words.
I looked around at them and nodded, then smiled at them. That's when a female troll with bright red hair walked up to me.
Oh...... She's so tall.
