Volume 5 Return of the King 103 Troll's Island
They weren't in the trade, and we weren't here to talk business, so we ended up parting ways after our pleasant conversation.
I told them that there was a continent in the far north that they could visit if they had the chance, and they told them that they could reach their homeland from this way east, and that goblins welcome all friendly friends. Of course, as parting advice, they repeatedly stressed that there was their eternal enemy, and told us to be careful. Those guys like to screw off the heads of their enemies and make cutlery.
My companions weren't afraid of it, and they didn't care when the goblins were gone. It may be that the dead are bold.
The goblins didn't know where the green-skinned, brown-skinned, pointy ears, and pointy teeth tall orcs I was talking about lived, they just said they could look south along the coastline, and if they dodged the man-eating trolls, they could see the goblin city further south, and the goblins welcomed all their friendly friends.
Hearing him say that there was a goblin city rekindled my hope that the Minotaur I saw in Treasure Bay should have set sail from there.
The land you see along the way is really barren, so sad that those who see it are sad and those who hear it shed tears. It's so poor here, there are at least trees on the land of Aishara, and although the leaves are not green, at least there are trees, but there is nothing here but the barren beach, the red barren beach. Not to mention the traces of the activities of the living.
"There's not even a bird in this place." Finally Sam spoke, "Are you sure it's here?" ”
"Those goblins shouldn't be lying." I say.
"But this place doesn't look like a human being." He said. "It's not a place to live, and even the Forsaken wouldn't choose to make a home in this place."
"We're just by the sea, and we don't see what the interior looks like."
"Hmph, even if you get to the other side of the desert where you can't see the end at a glance, nothing will change." He said.
"But it's true that this land is gone." I say.
"We're not here looking for a new home." He reminded me.
"Who said that?" I glared at him. "If it does come to that point, it is not certain that this land will become your new home."
"Then I'd rather die in my hometown." He turned his head to look to the other side in disdain.
"Everything is subject to the wishes of your Majesty the Queen." I say.
"I feel like we're looking for something wrong." His fleshless neck rattled.
"You don't count, Archmage." I say.
"But I have the right to suggest." He retorted.
"Then I can choose to take your suggestion, or I can ...... Entirely with my experience. ”
He stopped talking, but looked a little unconvinced.
I ignored them and continued south along the coast, where the islands and oases that appeared two days later made me happy, "Look, Sam! Don't you like green? I pointed ahead and shouted.
Everyone ran out, and the discovery made everyone very happy, and for the first time the dead men showed a happy expression, and although their laughter was indeed hoarse and unpleasant, it was always good to be in good spirits.
There was a large area of islands in front of me, so I was going to find an island to stop and make them happy. And for the first time, this group of dead people made me feel that their human souls had not left, and they were rowing their boats to the beach and frolicking on the beach.
I didn't choose to land, the girl named Birgit didn't seem interested in landing, and she didn't go but stood on the bow of the ship and looked into the distance. I spoke to her a few times, but the girl did nothing but smile and leave, and although I used to think that she didn't like me and looked down on me, she didn't show anything more than that. I just watched her back standing on the bow of the boat, a little thin, but ...... It's pretty good-looking, especially on the side face. If she's still alive, I guess there will be a lot of suitors!
The sun was scorching, and it was the first time since I left Lordaeron that I felt uncomfortable in the sun's scalp, and as I leaned on the side of the boat to admire the girl's face, someone on board exclaimed, and in the direction he pointed I saw them rushing out of the woods on the island, and then rushing into the boat, and rowing desperately towards us.
No sooner had they rowed the boat than a bunch of trolls rushed out of the woods.
I can't be mistaken, that size and appearance are not at all blind, especially the long fangs are the biggest feature of the troll. And the trolls that poured out of the forest were not ten or eight, but dozens of people. They shot arrows and threw spears at the boats that were struggling to row back. The arrows landed on the ship with ease, and the unlucky ones who were pierced by the spears were really ...... It's so unfortunate.
The last few boats were all rowed back, but they were almost always with a few arrows. The trolls were ruthless, the goblins were right, but I guess the guys wondered why their arrows couldn't kill those people, and they continued to row and run away after they were hit by the arrows.
When they boarded the boat, I waved my hand, "Get out of the boat!" ”
The trolls had carried out the slender boats from the woods, which could seat six people in a boat, and they rowed desperately towards the place.
"Prepare to release the arrows!" I said as I drew my bow and arrows, "Let them feel the smell of their arrows." As I spoke, I pulled the arrows that the trolls had shot at him from one of the guys.
The trolls suffered immediately, and although they had many boats, rowed over, and even thrown hooks and ropes, the damage they inflicted on us was not fatal, but the arrows we shot at them could have taken them away. And those who tried to force their way on board turned out to be much worse than those who were shot down.
This group of guys is not stunned, and when it is really not good to see close, they decisively chose to keep their distance. And I thought it would be better to take it when I saw it, so I left after abandoning the two small boats that had not yet been fished.
"That's a troll?" Sam asked, standing next to me.
"Yes." I said as I pulled the arrow from his chest.
"We can beat them." Sam gave me another opinion. "There aren't many trolls on that island."
"Is there any benefit in killing them?" I say.
"They deserve to pay for their actions." Archmage said.
"But I don't want to." I say.
"Why?"
"You don't want to suffer too much revenge." I said, "We're here to ask for help, not to settle grudges." ”
"Then you should go back and explain to them." Sam said angrily.
"I will." I say.
He just looked at me, and the meaning was obvious.
"But not for the time being, but I said I would, if necessary." I say. "I've dealt with trolls before, so I know what to do."
After leaving the island, I climbed to the lookout at the top of the mast, and found that in the dense jungle of those dense islands there were hidden villages of trolls, and those buildings meant that there must be villages of trolls there, and there were many such places.
I suddenly remembered the days I had with the trolls in the Valley of Thorns, and although there were some memories, it didn't seem so pleasant. And I didn't leave any of the trolls' tokens, and the most distressing thing for me was that the trolls' goblins were lost. It turned out that there was no good thing left on his body now.
But the last time I fought with the orcs for the Grey Valley Forest, it was clear that there were trolls, and those trolls were still the Darkspear tribe, so it would be a good thing if it was also the Darkspear tribe that had a conflict just now. When I think of this, I feel a little comforted in my heart.
The ship circled the archipelago for most of the time, and then I decided to prepare for landing. If it's the Dark Spear Clan, it's much easier.
I didn't choose to stop the boat in the sea near the archipelago, but a little farther away, I didn't want to be discovered by them and cause some unnecessary trouble. Then I took a few scouts and rowed in a small boat to an inhabited island at night.
The gentle waves made the boat sway gently, and with the trolls' homes ahead, I was filled with anticipation.
Washed up on the beach, we towed the boat and quickly sank into the dark forest. I told a few of my companions to be careful, the trolls are very good at trapping.
But that's it, I've been dealing with trolls for years, and I've only had an impression of the traps placed by the trolls, and they're already dark in the forest, so it's pure luck to run into them.
The island is still relatively large, but the troll buildings from the lookout are not very far from the coastline, and I was shocked when the troll village unfolded in front of my eyes.
This is not a village at all! There are more trolls here than you can imagine!
