Closing remarks (contains plenty of spoilers)

I thought about it a lot, and finally it ended up in the way you see it.
Originally, it was planned to fill in some more details in the fourth volume.
For example, how the mother works, how it devours livestock and turns it into "guards", how the fungus beasts change their attitudes, what wars take place on the other side of the border, what the outside world has become, how humans survive on this land three years later, and what experiments they have carried out on "Hela".
But in the end, due to some arrangements on my personal itinerary, it was cancelled.
The screenwriter says that when a clip is deleted and has no effect on the plot, then it is an invalid clip.
After thinking about it, I also felt that there was no need to write again, after all, the center of this book is "people", not "world view".
At the beginning, the entire story framework was designed according to the story framework of the movie, so in the end, it was also according to the standard of the movie script, without adding redundant plots.
Regarding the frame, the first three volumes are actually designed according to the "three-act" structure of the film.
"Act I" gets to know the main character, who overcomes a small part of the difficulties and achieves a certain success.
In "Act II", the protagonist encounters a real problem, encounters a setback, loses what he had before, but after experiencing the "incident", he regains his strength and gets new help.
In the "third act", the plot here calls for a spiral, the climax of the whole story, for intensity, and for at least two accidents, and then in an unexpected and reasonable way, to solve the puzzle.
After that, there will be an emotional landing link, which generally accounts for 5% of the script, which is the content of the fourth volume.
Overall, the whole book is designed to follow this pace.
It should be obvious that the pace of the third volume is fast, the second volume is relatively depressing, and the first volume is relatively relaxed.
The third volume I think is the most beautiful and wonderful volume, after the end, the whole book is strung together, read it all at once, the look and feel should be much better than the chase reading, after all, it is designed according to the structure of the movie, a lot of foreshadowing, you have to read it to understand.
Although the word count is not much, the story is very complete.
Almost every character I have prepared for them to "face their inner struggles".
Kyungwon is "human nature" and "love", his real desire is not to be a person, but to have "love", every time he faces the choice of "human nature" and "love", he chooses "love", even if he wants to lose "humanity" and face painful "struggle".
Tang Xue was the same, she thought she was afraid of death, but in fact, what she was afraid of was not death, for her, there was something more terrible than death, so she chose to threaten Su Wanqing, drive alone, go to the dark and monster-filled ruins, and look for the slightest possibility, the fear of death is no longer important to her who faces her heart.
Xiaobai also had such an experience, when the owner fell, it chose to lure away the corpses, even if it usually heard a little sound, it had to hide.
Xiao Yun'er, her character is the best to understand, she will never betray what she chooses, any external things can not affect her self, trying to change her is a very difficult process, it takes long-term effort and persistence, and she will most likely ignore you, the best way to change her is to accompany, five years, ten years of companionship, let her get used to one thing, she will not be willing to change.
Su Wanqing, she is ostensibly a "scientist dedicated to mankind", in fact, she is an avenger, everything she did at the beginning was to take revenge on the mold, because the mold took everything from her, she forced herself to fight against the mold without sleep, until she put on the ring and became a truly selfless scientist.
Da Yun'er, she is a character without a "self", she is a mixture of Xiao Yun'er's "instinct" and "monster" side, but she is firmly controlled by Xiao Yun'er, a role similar to a "baby", until the end, she also gave birth to a "self", she is a newborn, full of curiosity about the world.
The most special character is Ji Shou, he exists almost all the time in the side, he is the most perfect character in the whole book, from the very beginning, he does not have inner flaws, so he does not hesitate to format his thinking, his heart is full of love and strength.
Most of the pen and ink in the text are placed on Jingyuan, and the chapters other than "interlude" replace "he" with "I", and you can read it fluently, and the whole book is actually a first-point perspective narrative, without other people's psychological descriptions.
It's a whole new way of writing for me.
There are many things that can't be expressed clearly from the first perspective, such as Tang Xue, her story, which was already set when she appeared, about her background, how she fell to that point, but I can't say it from God's perspective, because she is a woman who "lies a lot", and can only tell her story through her mouth at the end of the whole book.
Tang Xue is the most three-dimensional and complex female character.
In the end, she didn't quite tell the truth either.
I don't know if any readers can see it, or think of that point, she told a lie for a long time, and her real name is not "Tang Xue".
The name "Tang Xue" was made up by her temporarily, because she saw snow for the first time when she woke up.
But in the end, she no longer thought it was a lie, and from then on, she only used the name "Tang Xue".
From the beginning, this character is meant to be annoying.
If you didn't use the first perspective, but before Tang Xue appeared, she described her story background, her pitifulness, her lonely snowy night, and her psychological struggle with Jingyuan, then I think many people would not hate her, and even pity her and sympathize with her.
I considered whether to write like this, but in the end I chose the way everyone saw it, and I promised to "first point of view", and at the end, I will analyze what she did for the reader, I don't know if there is a reader who can still selflessly treat her as a person in need of help before she describes that snowy night, if you can do it, then you will definitely be her salvation.
She doesn't want the sympathy of others, she wants redemption, and in the book, only Kyungwon can give her redemption.
Her prototype is actually EVA's "Asuka", but Asuka didn't get Shinji's embrace, she got Kyungwon's selfless "love", not "love" between men and women, but "big love" regardless of species and gender.
In the whole book, the one who sacrificed the most was Kyungwon.
Every crisis, every time something bad may happen, as long as he is willing to sacrifice his "humanity", then it will develop in a good direction.
For example, the first time he washed Tang Xue's blood, he used the "evolution materials" that he had saved for a long time and didn't dare to use, and after separating from Tang Xue Xiaobai, he no longer maintained the food guidelines of human beings, and ate the first bite of monster meat.
These are all on behalf of his renunciation of humanity and the choice of his love.
So he became less and less like a person, and the third volume completely sacrificed himself and became a program.
There are actually no tragedies around him, all tragedies happened before he appeared, such as Tang Xue and his sister, Su Wanqing and Ji Shou, Xiao Yun'er and her parents, these are all things that happened before he appeared.
As long as he is willing to sacrifice, there will be no tragedy around him.
There is a reason why he insists on using the format of "Jingyuan and xxx" to choose the title, because when there are the words "Jingyuan", it means that he is still alive, and from the beginning of a certain chapter in the third volume, there is no continuation of this title, because at that time, he has already decided to sacrifice himself, or has already sacrificed himself.
At the beginning of the story, he has a lot of ideas, he can't nag, he wants to think here and there.
That's when he has the most ego, the further back he goes, the less his mental activity becomes, because the part of his "person" becomes less and less, and when the title loses the word "Kyungwon", I change the way I write it, and I almost no longer describe him personally, only dialogue, or from the perspective of other characters.
He still had some ideas just after the format, but three years later, only other people were talking, and he had completely become a "person" who existed in the conversation.
I thought about ending the third volume, but I'm not a person who likes tragedy very much.
So, in the last chapter, he started thinking again.
He didn't think as much as he used to, he couldn't think as much as he used to.
He only thought of one sentence, and perhaps soon it would disappear from his mind.
However, there will be many, many days in the future, and the love that he once guarded will be around him.
We may not know what the future holds for that world.
However, I believe that all that he has given and saved will come to help him.
I always remember what Geralt said, when he was asked if good must triumph over evil.
Geralt says no, sometimes good triumphs over evil, sometimes the other way around, and usually the stronger side wins.
"Then why be a good person?"
"Look at this highness, it will attract people of the same moral integrity to his side. If he needs trouble, he can rely on those he can trust. And what about those hooligans? Rogues can only rely on rogues. ”
I hope that when you are in trouble, you will also have trustworthy people to rely on, but if you are still moving forward alone for the time being, maybe you can think about Jing Yuan, think about Tang Xue, think about Xiao Yun'er and Su Wanqing, think about Xiao Bai and Ji Shou, maybe, they can give you strength.
So thank you for your company, this time it's really over, it's a pleasure to share this story with you, and we'll see you in the next book.
