Chapter 4: I Have a Name!
Hermione walked for more than ten minutes with the wolf cub in her arms, and finally came to a small three-story building with exquisite decoration.
The decoration of the small building is extremely exquisite, with white walls and blue tiles, which is a standard European style. There is a small garden on the outside of the villa with several fruit trees. Spotlessly clean floor-to-ceiling windows, manicured hedges, clean and tidy facades...... From all kinds of details, it is not difficult to see that the owner of the house is an extremely decent existence.
She walked to the cast-iron gate of the house, entered the code with great skill, opened the door, and walked in with the wolf cub in her arms.
It wasn't until the door creaked shut that the wolf cub poked its head out of Hermione's arms. Its body was trembling all the time, and even when it entered the courtyard, it was still shaking instinctively.
The wolf cub is scared.
As the most prosperous metropolis in the United Kingdom, the sound of London is too noisy, and the smell of all kinds is too many to count, and the smell of ten minutes away is more complex than the smell of wolf cubs since birth. The experience almost scared the wolf cub to the point of stress.
Hermione, who was holding the wolf cub, noticed that it was abnormal, but she had no choice but to speed up her pace and try to get home sooner.
She hugged the wolf cub tightly and comforted it softly: "I will be home soon."
The wolf cub chose to bury her head in the crook of Hermione's arm, letting her breath drown out the smell of the outside world, and her heartbeat drowning out the cacophony of sounds.
It worked, and soon the wolf cub's nose was filled with the nice smell of Hermione, which made it less nervous.
Back in her yard, Hermione bent down to put the wolf cub down, but the wolf cub's claws gripped her coat tightly, like a flax ear hanging from a wild animal, and she couldn't tear it off.
Looking at the appearance of the wolf cub, a feeling of guilt came to Hermione's heart. She didn't think about how much of a psychological shadow the unfamiliar, noisy environment would have on the little wolf. Fortunately, it is a wolf cub with strong adaptability, and if it were a kitten, it might have died on the spot due to severe stress reactions.
"Good guy~" She gently patted the wolf cub's back to let it relax, "We're home, it's very safe here, you don't have to worry~"
With Hermione's reassurance, the wolf cub gradually calmed down. It let go of its claws and slammed into Hermione's garden with a thud.
As soon as it landed, the wolf cub began to look around the surrounding environment, which was its future lair, provided that the owner of the place was willing to accept it.
Thinking of this, the wolf cub became anxious again: what should it do if the patriarch of this group did not want to accept it? Where else can it go? The little girl said she could accept it, but she was just a cub, did the cub really have the right to speak?
If it's a big deal, it shouldn't be difficult to survive here, and the wolf cub is prepared for the worst.
The garden is small, and at the entrance is a cobblestone path, and the lawn beside the road is dotted with some small flowers that the wolf cubs can't name, and on the edge of the house, there are several fruit trees, and the branches of the fruit trees hang ripe fruit, exuding a burst of fruity fragrance. After a few glances, the wolf cub took in the scenery of the garden and became familiar with the smell of the place.
While the wolf cub was observing the environment, Hermione had already walked into the mansion.
"Come inβ" Once inside, Hermione changed her clothes and summoned the wolf cubs in.
She first hung her schoolbag and coat on the hanger, then held the heel of her leather shoes and took off the black school shoes on her feet with a gentle tug, revealing white fairy socks.
Hermione breathed a sigh of relief when ...... was freed from the shackles of her shoes, moving her stiff toes for a moment, then hiding them in the shoe cabinet and closing the cover tightly.
After doing this, Hermione noticed that the wolf cub had crept into the house, and sat silently on the floor behind her, looking reserved.
Hermione subconsciously pushed the lid of the shoe cabinet, trying to close it tighter. She knew that dogs had a very sensitive sense of smell, and the wolf was probably no exception.
There was something unnatural about her expression.
"Are you hungry? Tell me what you want to eat. Hermione took the initiative to stir up the conversation and took the opportunity to turn into the kitchen.
"Meat!" When it comes to eating, wolf cubs are unceremonious. Despite having just eaten some dried fish, adult wolves can eat food equivalent to one-fifth of their body weight at a time, and although the wolf cubs are still cubs, they have inherited this large appetite, so they can continue to cook.
"No problem." Hermione opened the fridge and took a large piece of steak out of it.
"Do you have a name? I can't keep calling you wolf, can I? Hermione suddenly realized the problem as she was fetching the meat - the wolf cub still had no name.
The wolf cub was stunned for a moment and shook his head, "I don't have a name. β
"Shall I get you one, then?"
"Okay!" The wolf cub looked at Hermione pleasantly, and it would be good to listen to her advice.
"How's Wolfe?" Hermione thought for a moment and said a name that disappointed the wolf cub.
"Wolf?" The wolf cub shook his head like a rattle, "That's too casual!" How can anyone be named a wolf directly? You're a girl, so is your name a girl?! β
Hermione lowered her head a little embarrassed, "My name is Hermione, derived from the name of Hermes in mythology.
Hermes was the god of commerce, travelers, thieves, and livestock in ancient Greek mythology. He was also the messenger of the gods and one of the twelve main gods of Olympus. He was the messenger and messenger of Zeus, and was also regarded as the protector of walkers and merchants, as well as the god of eloquence.
Choosing such a name shows what the Granger couple expected of Hermione.
"That's right! You see your name is so good, shouldn't my name be more powerful? β
Hermione's eyes flickered, and a word came to her lips.
"How's Lovell?" She threw out another name. Hermione was a little cautious, the name was of Old French origin, and it sounded elegant, but it actually meant "wolf", not only wolf, but also "young wolf".
[Young wolf] is indeed a good match for the little wolf cub in front of him.
It's just that how can a wolf cub who hasn't read a book hear it? It also thinks it's a nice name.
Naming the wolf, the first name that came to Hermione's mind was actually "Luna", after all, the wolf is always associated with the moon, isn't it normal to name the moon god? It's a pity that Hermione just saw that the wolf cub is a male wolf, and the name Luna is not appropriate, so she chose Lovell.
"Okay, then I'll call Lovell!" The wolf cub said happily, from today onwards, it has a name!
