Chapter 14: Dumbledore Got a Pet?

"I'd love to see Professor McGonagall turn into a cat again, what breed of cat did she become?"

"Tabby."

"This lesson is too difficult, how did you turn matches into needles, do you have any tricks?"

"The next class is Professor Sprout's, right? I remember going to the first greenhouse, right? ”

……

A cacophony of voices wafted from the top of the stairs, and without thinking, Dumbledore scooped up the wolf cub and stuffed it into the hood of his robes with his backhand.

"Be quiet, don't talk, don't move!" He admonished.

"Oh, okay." The wolf cub nodded ignorantly, and then Dumbledore held his head down and hid it.

Soon, a group of first-year Gryffindors appeared at the top of the stairs, laughing and talking as they made their way to the greenhouse outside the castle - their next class, Professor Sprout's herb class.

By the time they saw Headmaster Dumbledore, the team had come to a halt as if they had been petrified. A pair of red-haired twins even sneaked to the end of the group, trying to reduce their presence.

The small, red-haired, freckled twins, named Fred and George, were the children of the Weasleys. Although they are only first-year freshmen, they are no less troublesome than the old seniors in the seventh grade. They had just made a big mess a few days ago, and when they saw Dumbledore, they were naturally half heartbroken. They were a little worried that their matter would be stabbed to Professor Dumbledore, so they planned to hide from the limelight for now.

"Professor Dumbledore, why are you here?" After a few moments, a wheat-skinned girl boldly asked Dumbledore.

"Why can't I be here, I'm not locked in the principal's office." Dumbledore said with a smile.

The girl lowered her head and did not dare to reply.

"Is your next class a herb class?" Dumbledore didn't want to be too entangled with this group of young wizards, and every second of delay would expose the wolf cubs in his hood. Although it is now in the form of a wolf, what if it turns back into a human form with a convulsion of its brain? Even if he doesn't return to his human appearance, with the cute virtue of a wolf cub, I'm afraid he will be watched by this group of little wizards. What if the little wizard doesn't do it lightly or heavily, and annoys the wolf cubs, what can the wolf cubs do if they give them a mouthful? With these considerations in mind, Dumbledore didn't want the young wizards to see Lovell.

The little wizards nodded their heads.

"Then hurry up, Professor Sprout can't tolerate a whole class of students being late, no matter how good-tempered Professor Sprout is." Dumbledore urged quietly.

The young wizards woke up from a dream and immediately began to bypass Dumbledore's side and rush to the first greenhouse.

Fred and George were no exception, but the two of them exchanged glances as they passed Dumbledore: they always felt that Dumbledore wasn't here to urge them to go to class.

So when they passed the corner of the stairs, they stopped very tacitly and hid around the corner. The twins are really bold, a minute ago they were worried about being blocked by the principal, and now they are hiding in the corner and secretly observing the principal.

Dumbledore waited for the students to leave, and then fished the well-behaved Lovell out of his hood.

Fred and George in the Corner: ???

Professor Dumbledore actually secretly kept a cute puppy? There was a subtle change in their perception of Professor Dumbledore.

"Why did you want me to hide?" Lovell was so confused and puzzled that when the students left, he poked his head out and asked.

Fred, George: !

That puppy can actually talk?! The twins were stunned as Lovell spoke.

"I'll take you back to the office first." Dumbledore didn't want to linger here, he just wanted to get back to his office.

"I don't want to take the stairs!"

"Okay." Dumbledore was really afraid that the wolf cub would transform again, so he hurriedly agreed.

He took out his wand and pointed at the wolf cub, and Lovell floated in mid-air, led away by Dumbledore like a balloon.

After Dumbledore left, Fred and George had a funny smile on their faces, as if they had discovered a terrible secret. Speaking of which, looking at Dumbledore's attitude towards the puppy, that pup seems to be very pampered!

"I have a gut feeling we're going to see it again in the future." Fred said confidently to George.

"I also have a gut feeling that if we don't hurry, we're going to be late." George said lightly.

Fred:!

The two of them ran away.

Although Fred and George are not stingy and do not regard the deduction of points as a threat, they are not people who ignore the collective honor, and if they can not deduct points, of course, they will try their best not to be deducted.

Dumbledore led Lovell to a dripping stone beast on the top floor of the castle.

"Pumpkin pie." Dumbledore cleared his throat and said to the stone beast.

Wolf Cub: ?

Before it could ask, the stone beast jumped to the side, and the wall behind it split in half, revealing a spiral staircase.

"It's a passcode to get in and out of my office." Dumbledore asked the wolf cub to jot down the command.

"So why do you use pumpkin for the filling, when the meat filling is the best?" Lovell's angle of interest is always extremely peculiar.

"Because people's hobbies are diverse, you like to eat meat, and naturally some people like to eat pumpkin. You can try it, the pumpkin pie baked in the kitchen still tastes very good. Dumbledore made small talk to Lovell as he walked up.

After a few laps around the cramped spiral staircase, Lovell's eyes suddenly dawned on him, and a large, bright circular room appeared before him, and at the same time all kinds of rustling sounds sounded in his ears, and it smelled something it had never smelled before.

Upon entering the office, Lovell began to look around, and found that the smell was mainly from some strange silverware, which swirled and puffed out small puffs of smoke, and the sound was made by the portraits hanging on the walls. In addition to this, there was a huge table in the shape of a claw in the room, and on a shelf behind the table, a tattered, crumpled hat was placed.

Of course, the thing that caught Lovell's attention the most was the big golden-red bird on the branch behind the door, from which the wolf cub smelled a very special smell, unlike any bird he had seen before.

If I had to say it, Lovell felt that the big bird smelled of the sun.

"It's Fawkes, and I hope you can have a good time with it in the future." Dumbledore saw the wolf cub staring at his phoenix, so he took the initiative to introduce Fawkes to it.
