When the woman's father learned about it, he thought that the scholar was poor, and designed to drown the scholar in the garden lotus pond, and the woman committed suicide after knowing it. However, the scholar did not die, and after escaping, he learned of the woman's death, so he painted her portrait on the signboard and paid tribute day and night, thus moving the heavens, and the woman was able to return to her soul and marry the scholar.

The woman's father regarded the two as demons, and was very frightened, and sent someone to arrest them, just when the two had no way to escape, they suddenly saw the golden light shining, the scholar feathered into a phoenix, and the woman was a phoenix, both perched on the yellow cypress tree, and screamed, and his father cut down the yellow cypress tree, and the phoenix had to fly to the southeast and inhabit a high mountain. This mountain was named Phoenix Mountain.

According to the people of the Tang Sect, this legend is related to Tang Xian, the ancestor of the Tang Sect. It's just that after many years, even the elders in the Tang Sect can't remember the original appearance of this story.
