Chapter 37: Divine Soldiers Descend from Heaven

Karlske VI.

The walls of the outer ring of the castle were completely shattered, and the army of the Flame Lord fiercely besieged the castle itself.

These castles are not made of masonry, but alloy, and can only cause minor damage from ordinary artillery fire.

Lord Sophia's subjects and guards approached windows and holes and used laser carbines to shoot enemies outside.

These people only barely knew how to use laser carbines, as they had never seen them in their lives, and these carbines were brought out of the treasure trove under the castle by Sophia.

As a lord on the Karsk VI, the Sophia family is not just a few rifles, the real trump card is a knight.

A Warden Knight.

Equipped with an Avenger Gatling cannon and cruise missiles.

The knight, named Millennium Glory, was stepping on the top of the fortress and pouring fire on the enemy troops below, if it weren't for the knight's other "shoulder" that was damaged a long time ago, and the cruise missiles were not loaded, the cost of these rebels' casualties would have increased several times.

Sophia pondered as she calmly operated the knight.

She could now conclude that all the lords on the entire planet except herself must have rebelled, otherwise there wouldn't be so many rebels.

Now Sophia regrets her conceit, she thought she could overwhelm the other lords and make them honestly wait for the arrival of the Imperial army on Karsk VI, but now things are out of her control.

Thanks to the support of rebels on other planets, other lords have the ability and courage to fight, even if they don't have knights.

But fortunately, this Warden Knight-level can still hold on, stand tall in the dense fire of the enemy, and kill those enemies fiercely.

In a way, Sophia is quite happy.

After all, it's been a long time since I've had such a thrilling opportunity to drive a knight.

The little stealing lasted ten minutes later.

Under the fierce fire of the Titans, an armored vehicle with a huge cannon poked its head out from behind a hillside in the distance.

Huge artillery, that's all Sophia can describe.

It is not any kind of weaponry of the Human Empire, it is very likely to be self-made, but although this weapon looks a little dirty, if it is really fired, it will definitely cause terrible damage.

"Die!" Sofia uses a cruise missile.

The knight's body let out a deafening roar, and then pressed down and embedded his legs into the top of the castle, in preparation for the launch of the cruising missile.

But after waiting for more than ten seconds, the knight didn't shoot anything, and then Sophia trembled, remembering that she hadn't paid attention to the knight's armament for a long time, and those cruising missiles had been gone.

In Sophia's stunned gaze, the huge cannon fired.

A dazzling red beam of light erupted, shooting at the knight at an oblique upward angle.

The beam easily pierced through the heavy walls of the castle, hitting the knight's leg and breaking it off.

The knight roared and collapsed to the ground.

In the clouds of smoke and flying rubble, the rebel infantry rushed towards the fallen knights, some psionics, some ordinary infantry with molten bombs.

They are always ready to give their lives for their evil faith.

"For the Emperor!" Sophia controls the knight to use the Avenger Gatling to shoot at the enemy infantry rushing around.

The Gatling was unfortunate to overheat at this point, but it was a heavy weapon in its own right, and could be used as a hammer if necessary.

Sofia wielded the knight to sweep and slam the ground around him, but even that was difficult to stop the enemies, and a large number of infantry passed over his smashed companions and climbed onto the knight's body.

At this moment, everyone in the castle rushed out.

They shouted for the sake of the lord and glory, for the knights.

There were a few knights in heavy armor, but they were toys compared to Sophia's knights, and the weapons of the enemy infantry could easily pierce through the armor.

First the knights fell in rows like mowed wheat, then the guardsmen, then the civilians......

Whether these people are dressed in armor or linen, with laser carbines or swords or pitchforks in their hands, all beings are equal under thermal weapons.

But people still poured out of the castle like a tidal wave, and one by one they died under the fire.

Such a fierce attack did not last long, and a very strange scene occurred.

The enemies suddenly stopped what they were doing and looked up at the sky.

A ship could be seen faintly in the sky of Karsk-6, and then a large number of meteors fell to the ground.

It wasn't until a few seconds later that everyone realized that it wasn't a meteor, but a fortress.

The fortresses erupted with flames from the bottom as they were about to fall to the ground, but even then they slammed into the ground.

Some unlucky enemies were smashed directly under the fortress, and even several tanks died like this.

After landing, hundreds of shooting holes were opened on these forts, and those outside could only see through the shooting holes the faces with hideous smiles and the heavy weapons in front of them.

The forts rained down heavy bullets and beams, and even a 120mm gun mounted on top of the fort was carried by a Riemann Ruth tank.

The enemy's line was disrupted in an instant, and the soldiers who had been very murderous just now were either fleeing with rolling and crawling, or they were standing still and being shot into a sieve.

Not all forts fall so smoothly, and some may have turned on the recoil system a little later, and then the fort slammed into the ground with a thud.

After that no one opened the shooting hole, only blood flowed from the gaps.

But one way or another, the appearance of these fortresses instantly turned the tide of the battle.

And the next thing that came up was a direct victory in the war.

It was a gigantic four-legged machine that fell from the sky and stuck straight into the ground, its back firing heavy cannonballs from a fortress that looked like a city.

Hatches ejected from the church at the heart of the fortress and landed in the middle of the enemy, from which a group of three-meter-tall men with seven arms armed with melee and ranged weapons slaughtered the surrounding enemy troops.

The sudden arrival of the army was completely unaware that they had killed the Flame Lord.

But Sophia noticed.

The Flame Lord was hit by a dozen cannonballs, and after the violent explosion, a deep pit was blown out of his place, and he himself was nowhere to be seen.

Perhaps it was blown into a cloud of blood mist, mixed with the smoke of gunpowder that dissipated.

"Praise the Emperor!" Sophia perked up, drove her Gatling cannon-equipped arms to support the knight's body, and leaned against the fortress walls to fire at the enemy.
