Subhuman Section 5 Father
The black Carmer sedan slid in the darkness and slowly stopped beside Jacques, the door opened silently, and Leon Duvall poked his head out and beckoned: "Jacques, come in, I have something to say to you." β
He was an old man with declining energy, as thin as a hard wood, slightly bald, gray hair neatly combed back of his head, wearing a designer suit without a tie, and his shirt was unbuttoned three times, revealing his shaggy chest.
Jacques quickly looked around, bending down into the car.
He sank into the leather seat, his tense body slackening. Although it was an elongated limousine, the rear seat space was always a little cramped, and Jacques sensitively smelled the smell of leather and felt very uncomfortable.
"When did you come back?"
"Just arrived. There was a torrential rain at Aisha Castle, and the plane could not take off, so it was delayed for several hours. Craving something? Or foie gras with truffles? β
Jacques nodded. Saliva was spreading in his mouth, and he couldn't wait.
Leon took fresh foie gras and truffles from the freezer, poured another glass of wine, placed it on a silver plate, and pushed it in front of Jacques.
The fine foie gras was so valuable that it should have been eaten in an elegant dining room listening to the weeping piano, but Jacques didn't use a knife or fork, he reached out and grabbed the whole foie gras, brought it to his mouth, and bit it hard, chewing it like a beast, and letting out a dull whimper deep in his throat.
Leon sighed, feeling a little sad in his heart, he thought: "More than ten years of elite education have been ruined, although I have become the most vocal expert in a certain aspect, the price paid is too great!" β
He patiently waited for Jacques to finish eating the food on his plate, wipe the residue from the corners of his mouth with a napkin, and return to normal, before he asked bluntly: "Jacques, was the playground destroyed by subhumans?" β
"Yes." Jacques pulled a stack of photographs out of his pocket, handed them to Leon one by one, and explained briefly.
"The most direct evidence of this comes from the indentations on the surface of the soil, the triangular scale shape, and the detailed texture featuresβ" Jacques paused, "yes, it was Moni." β
Leon gasped, "A monster raised by subhumans? β
"Only those powerful monsters can easily destroy an entire playground."
"Could it be that the Asians are planning to start a second war? No, it can't be! Thinking of the horrors of war, the muscles on Leon's face twitched slightly.
"Maybe it's not that bad...... This sudden attack was strange, and I suspect that something is wrong within the subhumans. β
"What are your plans?"
"Gu Fu is mobilizing men and equipment to venture deeper into the cave, and the Commander/President is in a hurry, and he is almost unable to withstand the pressure from the council and the public. I think...... Wait a little longer, and if Gu Fu doesn't get any results, go to the sub-man's lair to try his luck. β
Leon chuckled in his heart, he looked at Jacques and said, "Be careful, I don't want to lose you." β
"It's going to be fine, I'm familiar with it."
"You've done a great job all these years, Jacques, and I'm so proud of you!" Leon patted him on the shoulder and said heartily, "We will succeed, don't worry." β
Jacques smiled faintly, "...... In addition, I met Pierre yesterday, and he was very proud of the 'program-controlled iron bud growth technology', and talked about it for more than half an hour. β
"That's his proudest achievement. Women, and technology, Pierre only cared about these two things. Did he doubt you? β
Jacques shook his head and said bitterly, "I don't think he remembered me for a long time." β
"It's best for you and for him. I said to Pierre that you are dead. β
Jacques fell silent, he remembered the past, his expression was a little dazed, and he couldn't tell whether he was awake or dreaming. "Maybe living is a dream, and only when you die will you wake up!" The thought crossed his mind.
"Okay, you just get off here, keep in touch, Gu Fu's side is making any progress, and notify me in time."
"I see."
The sedan slowed down and stopped by the Seine River. The sky is full of stars, reflected in the blue-black river water, like a swarm of flying fireflies.
"Jacques, don't care about Pierre...... I promised you that you are the heir to the Carmer Group. β
"I know." Jacques whispered. His heart had long since flown to the distant Mount Rufus, where the nightmare began and would end.
"I love you, Jacques!"
"I love you too, dear father!"
