Hua Dafu turned an empty bowl in his hand to the side and said to Venerable Pure Heart, "This meal is all vegetarian and has no meat, so why can't you eat it as a monk?"

This doesn't taste right, so you can't eat it, and it's a pity if it's poured, so you'd better keep it for yourself!

Master Pure Heart, but I eat this kind of food every day.

Master Pure Heart heard someone speak, and when he looked up, he saw that it was Pei Minsheng walking from the stone path in the courtyard that led to the inner room. Pei Minsheng approached Master Pure Heart and said, I eat this kind of food every day, and I am addicted to it, and I don't eat a meal, and I feel bored.

Master Pure Heart looked at Pei Minsheng, his eyes were dark, his face was gloomy, and he said in surprise, why are you in such a bad mental state? Compared to what I've seen a few years ago, it's really like two people, and I wonder if you're the reason for eating this meal. This meal has an off-flavor, and I recommend that you eat less or no food in the future.

Pei Minsheng suddenly remembered that before the divorce, his wife told him that this kind of meal had been tested and poppy powder was put in it. But now that I'm addicted to it, it's indispensable.

At this time, he smiled wryly and said to Master Pure Heart, "There is poppy powder in this meal, do you smell it?" I love to eat.

Seeing that he hadn't gone to Guanyin Temple to burn incense and worship the Buddha for several days, he thought that his Taoist heart had retreated, and he also knew that some of the food in this bowl also had poppy powder in it, and it was categorically inedible, so he went out of the courtyard and poured the food into the grass, wanting to take the bowl away.

Pei Minsheng followed out of the courtyard, walked around to Master Pure Heart and stopped him and said, Master, don't go, I still have something to do! Saying that, Pei Minsheng lowered his head and stretched out the hem of his trousers to reveal a few blackened rotten sores, and said to Master Jingxin, these rotten sores are itching uncomfortably, and I can't sleep well at night.

Pei Jushi, you are a causal disease. Master Jingxin glanced at the rotten sores on his leg and said, "You have to cure this disease and go to Guanyin Temple to find me another day."

The next day, Pei Minsheng found the Guanyin Temple, he went to the Daxiong Treasure Hall to burn incense and worship the Buddha when he crossed the threshold, the monk on duty in the hall saw that he was wearing leather shoes and was about to go in, signaled him to take off, and went in again with the spare cloth slippers under the threshold in the hall.

Pei Minsheng didn't understand why this was the case, after he came out of the hall by burning incense and worshiping the Buddha, he asked a monk who had just finished his lesson, why he couldn't wear leather shoes when he entered the hall to burn incense and worship the Buddha?

The monk said that leather shoes are made of animal skins, and that if you wear them, you will not only hinder the removal of karma, but also add new ones. Besides, all animals are the embodiment of karma, and if you wear leather shoes made of animal skins, it will be uncompassionate, and the pure land of Buddhism is a place where compassion dissipates karma, and lay people who enter the temple to burn incense and worship Buddha obviously cannot wear leather shoes.

Pei Minsheng kept nodding, pondering what the monk had said in his heart, and felt that it made sense: leather shoes were made of animal skins, and the skins were obtained from killing, and the things obtained from killing were obviously cruel and uncompassionate things.

At this time, the rotten sores on his legs began to itch again, and the itch was unpleasant. He was embarrassed to pull open his trousers, and only scratched them vigorously through them. This made him more clear that the purpose of coming to Guanyin Temple today was to see a doctor with Master Jingxin.

He walked around the monastery and asked where the pure heart was, and a monk said that the pure heart master had gone out of the mountain to fast, and it was not clear when he would return.

Pei Minsheng had no choice but to linger in the temple and wait, and when the sun set, he wanted to leave the temple and go down the mountain, planning to come back tomorrow to meet Master Jingxin, he thought that he would always run into it.

But when he walked out of the temple and halfway up the mountain, he suddenly heard someone singing in the forest, it was a male voice, the voice was loud, peaceful and wonderful. The lyrics are-

A hundred years of life

We will meet each other as soon as possible

Fate comes and goes, fate is scattered

Finally look through it

Bustling world

How many grievances

A few bumpy peaks and loops

Let it drift away with the wind

O compassionate Buddha, you call me

You've made me feel lost

I am no longer covetous, I am no longer entangled

I let go of my hard feelings

Ah, Buddha of salvation, you call me

I quickly walked out of the darkness

I no longer covet the fate of the red dust

Let the lotus flower accompany me

Pei Minsheng stopped by a bush to listen, but saw that the singing was none other than the Pure Heart Master wearing a red-background and yellow-striped monk's robe.

Master Pure Heart came out of the forest, and Pei Minsheng exclaimed in surprise, Master, why are you here? Didn't you tell me to look for you at the Guanyin Temple?

Master Pure Heart also saw Pei Minsheng, and he asked rhetorically, "Master Pei, haven't you found me?" I've been waiting for you here for a long time. Just now I specially sang a song for you: "Let go of the fate of hard reluctance", which can be regarded as a greeting to you.

Master Jingxin walked while talking, and he didn't leave after walking a few steps, there was a mountain road in front of him, and there was a stone pier shaped like a bench on each side of each side, and Master Jingxin stroked the stone pier on the left, and pointed to the stone pier on the right and said to Pei Minsheng who came over, you meditate on the stone pier here, and I will meditate on the stone pier over there to accompany you.

Pei Minsheng rolled up his trouser legs again, pointed to the ulcerated and itchy black sores on them, and said, Master, I came to you to treat this disease with me, what is the effect of you asking me to meditate?

Venerable Pure Heart said, "You are suffering from a causal disease, meditate and settle down, so that people can see what the cause is?" In the future, we will no longer create a cause, and we will no longer suffer from illness.

When Pei Minsheng saw that Venerable Pure Heart had said this, he sat down on the stone pier on the left with his eyes slightly closed, and he also learned to meditate on the stone pier on the right like that.

Slowly, the sound of the birds in the forest, the sound of the stream, and the bells of the monastery were no longer heard, and he settled down like the Pure Heart Master. I vaguely felt that the Pure Heart Master was leading him to a gloomy place, like a prison, where the prisoners were festering and pus-shedding, curled up in a ball, scratching and twitching.

Pei Minsheng stood at the door and asked what kind of place this was, and Master Pure Heart said that it was hell.

Pei Minsheng asked where the prisoners were arrested, and Master Pure Heart said that these prisoners were all sinful souls who had been arrested and imprisoned here after they had been killed by drug addiction and poisoning.

At this time, I saw two hideous-looking Yin Cha each holding a weapon like a spear like a snake spear, and there was a shiny barb at the top of it, hooking a charcoal black guilty soul, dragging it out, out of the prison gate. There is a deep pit in the distance, and a stone slab stands on the edge of the pit, on which are written two big black lacquer characters: 虿basin.

The guilty soul was dragged here, and seemed to understand something, and let out a hoarse scream. Yin Cha didn't care about those, pushed the body of the guilty soul towards the basin, and fell to the bottom of the basin, and the giant scorpion and python below vied with each other to eat.

When Pei Minsheng saw this tragic situation, he asked Master Pure Heart, why are the Yin Cha so inhumane? What is the reason why the guilty soul is so sick that he is covered in charcoal and miserable, and he is not rescued, and he is pushed into a pot to feed the giant scorpion and python?

Master Pure Heart clasped his palms together and chanted Amitabha. A bright light lifted the sinful soul out of the basin like a pair of giant hands and placed it in front of him. When he saw the monk using the Buddha's power to save the sinful soul, he respectfully bowed to him, and then said to the sinful soul, "This Dharma Master has recited the Buddha for you to eliminate your sins and reduce your sins, and you can say whatever he asks you, and you must not hide the sins you committed during your lifetime."

The guilty soul immediately knelt down and kowtowed in front of the Pure Heart Master, tears fell like rain, and he muttered in his mouth, "Thank you, Master for your mercy and rescue, when I was alive, I was addicted to drugs, I was addicted to drugs, I was frequent, I couldn't control myself, and finally I was so crazy that I sold my children and daughters to raise money for drugs, until I went bankrupt, and finally I festered and died. After my death, I was directly arrested and imprisoned in hell by Bai Wuchang, I really deserve to die, and I advise the world not to take drugs like me when I am alive, harming myself and others.

Pei Minsheng was terrified when he heard this, feeling that he had become addicted to eating the poppy powder food made by Hua Dafu every day, and he might be imprisoned in hell like this sin soul after death in the future, and he would be hooked out with a long-handled hook to push the basin into the basin and feed the giant scorpion and python. Thinking of this, he shuddered again.

At this time, the Pure Heart Master asked the guilty soul to stand up and slowly explained how he had strayed into the evil sect of drug addiction.

The sin spirit said, I also knew that taking drugs was not good at the beginning, and then a bad friend cheated me, pretending to help me, but in fact harming me, he put a small amount of poppy powder in my meal, after I ate it, it tasted quite good, and then I became more and more fond of eating the meals he cooked, so he slowly put the dose of poppy powder in my food, so that I was addicted to eating, and I couldn't leave. Later, I learned that poppy powder was a drug, but I was already addicted to it, and then I could stop it by taking drugs directly......

When the sin soul said this, Yin Cha did not let him continue, saying that today he was mercifully rescued by the Venerable Master to save you from sending you to eat giant scorpions and pythons, and now he will send you back to hell and imprison.

After apologizing, he turned and walked towards the prison door.

Pei Minsheng thought that he was now eating the meal made of poppy powder put in Hua Dafu, and he was already hidden, and his heart was very uneasy.

When the Pure Heart Master saw this, he stopped the yin cha and asked, if a living person is addicted to drugs, he should quit it now, or before he dies, he will quit it, and after quitting it, he will accumulate virtue and do good deeds, will he go to hell after death in the future?

Absolutely not. If a living person, after quitting drug addiction, knows to repent, no longer gets involved in drugs, and teaches others not to take drugs with his own painful teachings, and insists on doing good deeds and accumulating virtues, not only will he not go to hell after death, but he may also ascend to the heavenly realm as an immortal. If you believe in Buddhism or God, after you die, your soul will be reborn in Bliss or Heavenly Lord.

Pei Minsheng listened to Yin Cha's words, and subconsciously decided: From now on, he will quit eating meals with poppy powder, and decided to dismiss Hua Dafu.

After this thought, he immediately "woke up" from meditation, and his soul had returned to his meditative body.

Pei Minsheng opened his eyes and saw that the Pure Heart Venerable who was meditating on the stone pier on the left was also opening his eyes to look at him, and he stood up and said to him, Pei Jushi, what is the gain of going to hell?

Pei Minsheng stretched out his hand to touch the sores on his lower body, and replied ashamedly, Master, thank you for taking me to hell to get a good medicine, if I "take" it, the sores on my body will be healed without treatment.

Venerable Pure Heart knowingly said that as long as you abstain from eating that kind of food with poppy powder, the poisonous sores on your body will heal without medical treatment. What you take from hell is abstinence, and you should take this abstinence medicine with a strong mind. You finally understand that eating a meal with poppy powder is tantamount to taking drugs, and if you take this kind of abstinence medicine, it is tantamount to quitting drugs, and if you quit drugs, the poisonous sores and poisonous sources on your body will be exhausted, and the disease will naturally be cured.
