The people in the Taoist temple only care about praising Miaoyi for their conscientiousness. In fact, Miaoyi Zhenren has worked hard, knowing that Tao Qinghu wants to worship him as a teacher, he must fulfill his responsibility as a teacher, and he must control or standardize Tao Qinghu's thoughts and behaviors. So, the real person in Miaoyi put on the treasure clothes, and when he gave an invisibility order, he disappeared without a trace. In this way, he looked at Tao Qinghu without saying a word. That day, Tao Qinghu guarded the mountain gate for a while, and when he couldn't sit still, he went down the mountain to find the gang of thieves, saying that he had worshiped Miaoyi Zhenren as a teacher, and you should "get rich" in the future, but don't have the Taoist Wulong Mountain.

The thieves scoffed: How is that possible? Tao Qinghu said that my master has a special garment, and you can't see him when he wears it, but he can see you.

Hey...... So why not steal the strange and precious clothes and use them yourself? Tao Qinghu sighed and said: Don't think too beautifully, even if you steal it, you can't use it, it won't listen to ordinary people.

What the disciples say is true, even if you steal this treasure garment from me, you will not use it. Suddenly, someone spoke in the emptiness, with a strong and thick voice, and it was a weak-crowned young man, and the voice went from low to high-pitched, repeated several times and then returned to silence. The thieves were shocked and looked around, but there was no one in sight.

Suddenly, Tao Qinghu knelt on the ground on one knee, and luckily didn't say anything wrong just now, so he bowed three times, and said in his mouth: Master, the apprentice is polite. The apprentice admits his mistake to you, and goes down the mountain without asking you, willing to accept the punishment. I saw that all the thieves were shocked by this mysterious atmosphere, and knelt down one by one, and a long lock of worshippers appeared on the stake in the wilderness, and the leader said: I wish to hear the teachings of the master. Then, all the thieves recited in unison: I wish to hear the teachings of the master.

The poor Taoist leaders can't afford it, so I hope that all the heroes of the green forest will quit stealing and do it for themselves. And the leader said, "Take the words of the master to heart, and the brothers will not come here again to disturb them." The sound reverberated through the valley, and then returned to silence.

Since then, for several years, the Wulong Mountain Taoist Temple and even the nearby villages have not lost their belongings due to theft, and it is said that some of those thieves have abandoned the darkness and become good citizens, and some have not changed their habits and have gone away to harm other places.

Miaoyi Zhenren has never said a bad word, never shown a bad face, but he can suppress the thieves and gangsters in society within a radius of dozens of kilometers from Wulong Mountain. At that time, as long as someone secretly did bad things, others would say, do you have a wonderful clothes? He often does good deeds and obtains a treasure garment that no one else can steal, which is a blessing! You will be rewarded for your bad deeds. Evil retribution will soon appear, as long as you call the real person in Miaoyi, you can't see him, he can see you, even if you do bad things in secret, you will be caught by him, at least you will be beaten and scolded, and at worst you will be sued.

In this way, there are fewer people who commit theft in the area, and more people who do good deeds and help each other. If you want to interrogate the reason, you will praise the real person of Miaoyi, and gradually his reputation spreads, and some places where frequent thefts have come to invite him one after another, but the Taoist chief of Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province took the lead, and he agreed. In the early summer of that year, when he was ready to set off, Taoist Tao Qinghu also had to follow.

Miaoyi Zhenren thought for a moment and said: You must abide by the rules of the Tao, otherwise you will bear the consequences. Tao Qinghu arched his hand and said: Everything is subject to the master's instructions. Miaoyi Zhenren didn't have time to say much, but only told the Taoist to prepare his luggage and set off at a later date.

Before leaving, Miaoyi Zhenren lingered on Wulong Mountain, as if he was very fond of every grass and tree here. Tao Qinghu asked the master to simply stay in Wulong Mountain for a few days, he usually has no time to enjoy here, why not relax now and visit the entire Wulong Mountain.

In the middle of summer this year, Wulong Mountain was prosperous and first thanked, and it was dressed in beautiful green clothes. Miaoyi Zhenren and Tao Qinghu came out of the Taoist temple of Wulong Mountain, blowing in the breeze, the birds and insects in the mountains were singing, the stream was murmuring, and a steep cliff was a hundred meters away from this, the master and apprentice walked towards that side, pointing out the river all the way, and said that the infinite fun of the natural world was endless. Let's talk about Wulong Mountain, the four peaks of the east, west, north and south arch the highest peak in the middle, the altitude is about 4888.6 meters, and the surrounding shorter ones are more than 3000 meters, the uniform shape is like a flying dragon, and the magnificence is magnificent. Legend has it that in ancient times, the five sons of the Dragon King of the East China Sea competed for hegemony in the eastern soil, smashed the sea and turned the river, and made the Langhua China into a water town Zeguo, which is really "birds and beasts make pearls and mussels, and people or fish and turtles". At that time, the Emperor of Heaven was furious, and ordered Hou Yi to shoot the five dragons, and Hou Yi was able to make the five dragons die and turn into a mountain range of five peaks and arches, so that it is convenient for the people to recuperate, so as to reduce the various sins they have created, so the descendants call this the Five Dragons Mountain.

The Taoist temple practiced by Miaoyi Zhenren is on the south peak, there is Guanyin Temple on the west peak, and the rest of the peaks are natural forests. At that moment, Miao Yi Zhenren asked Tao Qinghu which peak to visit first, Tao Qinghu said: Go to Guanyin Temple to worship incense first, so that the Bodhisattva can bless us with a smooth journey. Miaoyi Zhenren immediately praised, and then walked towards the direction of the west peak with the Taoists, the mountain road is rugged, sometimes thick shade covers the sun, sometimes the slope is open. After walking for a while, I suddenly heard the terrible sound of rats, and saw a black snake coiled next to a stone, biting a gray-haired mouse in its mouth, and its tail and two paws were still struggling weakly.

Tao Qinghu immediately broke off a branch, cut off the side branches and leaves, and was about to hit the snake's head in his hand, he didn't want to save the gray rat that was devouring, but there was a sense of seeing the snake and not hitting the three-point crime, he planned to get rid of the snake and kill the rat.

Suddenly, Miaoyi Zhenren said to Tao Qinghu: Don't hurt their lives, from a human standpoint, these two aliens are harmful to people and can be executed together. But now you practice according to fate, Taoism pays attention to following nature and protecting the ecology, from this point of view, although the snake is poisonous, it does not attack people easily, on the contrary, it also helps people.

Tao Qinghu, who was raising a branch and preparing to hit the black snake, looked at Miaoyi Zhenren in a daze, and listened to him continue: Why help people? It devours rats, which are recognized by humans as one of the four pests, so snakes are also beneficial insects. But why do two lives have to be saved now? Miaoyi Zhenren stared at Tao Qinghu and asked repeatedly. He couldn't answer, and Miaoyi Zhenren continued: Because we are now going to Guanyin Temple to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva, it is not appropriate to commit the precept of killing, and it is best to save living beings.

As he spoke, Miaoyi Zhenren snatched the branch from Tao Qinghu's hand and gently whipped at the black snake, which was frightened and spit out the gray mouse that swallowed half of it, bent its body with scales and armor, and immediately burrowed into the crack in the stone. The gray mouse is not dead, one of the front feet was bitten, I saw it limp towards the half-covered soil hole on the opposite side of the stone, Tao Qinghu was about to kick it with his foot, Miaoyi Zhenren said: Don't hurt your life, didn't I say, go to worship Guanyin Temple, you must not kill.

Tao Qinghu was puzzled and said: Why does Guanyin want to protect all living beings? Miao Yi Zhenren said: Because all living beings have Buddha nature, they are all worthy of pity, and protecting living beings is to protect themselves. Tao Qinghu felt that Miaoyi's words were a bit mysterious, he didn't understand it very well, and retorted with his own point of view while asking: Is protecting living beings like protecting yourself? If I protect snakes, am I a snake? Miao Yi Zhenren used the theory of Taoism and Buddhism to explain that the reaction force of life is not happy at all, and if it protects any living being, that is, it has a good relationship with it, so once the opportunity is ripe, you will get the corresponding protection, so to protect living beings is to protect yourself, that is, to protect yourself indirectly, and the self here mostly refers to the future self.

Tao Qinghu has a lot of karma, and it is always difficult to understand Miaoyi's words thoroughly, but he has many crooked reasons and argues with his master. The interest in accompanying the master to sightseeing and enjoying the scenery was then lost. In order to rejuvenate his awareness of the true meaning of Buddhism, Master quickened his pace, bypassed several mountains, crossed several canyons, and gradually reached the west peak, where the solemn atmosphere and spacious Guanyin Temple stood in front of him.

A monk in front of the temple guarded the door, and when he saw the living, he put his palms together and gave gifts: the two donors are invited.

There is a large hall of about 40 square meters in the temple, and there is a row of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas such as Mito, Manjushri, Fuxian, Guanyin, Maitreya and other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas with dignified appearances and different expressions on the shrine. Miaoyi Zhenren took Tao Qinghu to incense and candles, and then bowed one by one. A monk next to them asked them what they wanted, and Miaoyi Zhenren said that he only wanted to ask for a good book to educate Taoists. The monk said come with me, out of the hall, let them wait in front of a row of tiled houses on the west side, he went into a room and tossed for a while, took out a stack of books and said, I took out the "Diamond Sutra", "Dizang Bodhisattva Revelations", "Jade Calendar Treasure Copy" and so on from the Tibetan scripture pavilion, you can choose as you like! Miaoyi Zhenren happily took it and looked at it one by one, and saw that there was no price on it, and asked how much money a copy, and the monk said, no money, the scriptures and good books are all gifts. Tao Qinghu stepped aside and whispered to Miaoyi Zhenren: Master, you are a Taoist, do you also need Buddhist scriptures?

Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching is very similar to some Buddhist theories, and it is beneficial to recite it. He handed Tao Qinghu the "Jade Calendar Treasure Copy" and said: This book not only expounds Buddhist thoughts, but also is full of strong Taoist views, which is especially worth reading.

If you read it carefully, you will understand all the truths you don't understand, including the phenomenon of snakes biting rats we saw on the road just now and why I want to save two living beings, and you will slowly become enlightened.

When the monk heard this, he praised and said, "Amitabha, what the donor said is good. Tao Qinghu reluctantly took the book, and he didn't have anything to do to appreciate it. Miaoyi Zhenren thanked the monk and was grateful, came to the merit box, took out a wad of money from his underwear pocket, and threw it all into the merit box without counting.

The faint smoke from the incense burner swirled in this direction, curling loosely above the head of the Miaoyi real person, as if counting and containing his devotion to the gods and Buddhas......
