Chapter 1079: The Monk Carries Water
At this moment, the dust that the aliens had knocked on outside fell one by one, and the situation was urgent, and the solid palace was smashed through holes, and a speck of dust landed on the king's forehead, and he was stunned for a while, and immediately regained his composure, and waved to the ministers to proclaim: Quasi-
But it was too late, and the carpenter Zhang invited by Hong Hu was very elf, he looked carefully at the wooden window, and tapped it lightly on the edge of the window with an axe, and when he heard the sound, he felt that it was really chewed empty by termites.
He quickly exchanged hammers and axes to knock down the wooden window, which had only an empty shell on the outside, only to see that the cracked crack of the wooden frame was surrounded by swarms of white termites, and many of the termites that crawled out fled in a hurry, most of them burrowed into the cracks in the wall.
At this time, Hong Wanglong, who had listened to Carpenter Zhang's instructions, had already activated the sprayer equipped with insecticide, and the nozzle sprayed vigorously against the cracks and walls of the wall, making a "bang, bang", and chubby termites rained down.
In an instant, the base of the wall was white, as if sprinkled with a layer of snow powder. The termites that are not completely killed are still struggling on their legs, but they can no longer crawl and die. Carpenter Zhang had taken out the wooden window full of termites that had become an empty shell and threw it on the front yard, then poured gasoline on it, struck a match and lit it, and the flames danced high and became a raging flame, until the scrapped wooden window was swallowed up, and finally spit out a bright red tongue of fire, which was about to turn into ashes.
Pity the thousands of termites that burned from white to black until they turned red into ashes - a termite nation born in the cracks of wooden windows was completely destroyed.
The donor has a grain of rice that is better than Mount Xumei; I can't eat it, and I still have a fur and horns. The little novice whose Dharma name is Jue Yuan, often recites these four verses that Master Kongjue taught him from Buddhist books, saying that they are verses, but in fact it is easy to understand, Master Kongjue taught him to recite them, and also told him the meaning - If we as monks eat the rice from the benefactor or receive the money from the benefactor, if we don't devote our lives to learning and enlightening the Tao and contribute to the propagation of the Dharma, then after you die, your soul will be free, not only will you not be able to detach yourself from the six realms and practice the bodhisattva path, but you will also fall into the animal path and become a beast with fur and horns. Or to do coolies for cattle and sheep and slaughter them in the flesh, or to hunt them for animals in the flesh, to repay the debts of people who owe as much and as much as Mount Xumei in their previous lives due to "not being able to do the Tao".
Jue Yuan is actually a diligent monk, every time he reads these four verses, and then thinks of the benefits of his frequent use of the donor, but feels that he has not given the donor anything in return, he shudders, even if he has a desire to preach the scriptures, he still does not know how to practice it in the future. Therefore, in addition to reciting the Buddha's scriptures, Jueyuan usually does not dare to be lazy, and always rushes to clean the temple, collect firewood, wash dishes, and do what he can, which is particularly cute.
Jue Yuan was originally an abandoned baby, and no one knew the names of his parents. 14 years ago, a woodcutter at the foot of Shifeng in Jiangnan heard the baby crying, and saw a poor baby wrapped in a rotten quilt in the grass, with trembling hands and feet, and a fetus on his head, the woodcutter took him home and raised him for several years, because he could not afford to live, he sent him to an orphanage, named Fuwa. Fuwa is sensible, no older than other orphans, but he knows to take the children in the orphanage, go to school and leave school, he counts the number of children, which children study abroad, he takes the initiative to accompany them, and goes back together after completing their homework, so that the nursing aunt of the orphanage can rest assured.
The orphanage almost every morning is too early, eat porridge and white buns, he often takes a white bun on the road, to a dervishes monk at the foot of the stone peak to eat, this monk is Kong Jue, his monastery stands on the west side of the stone peak, also known as the West Mountain Temple, Kong Jue usually passes through this road every morning to go out to the fate.
Kongjue's impression of Fuwa is particularly deep, and it is also very good, when he sees him, he folds his palms in the west, recites Amitabha, and says that he may the Buddha and Bodhisattva protect Fuwa!
One morning in the summer when Fuwa was 15 years old, he handed another Master Kongjue a white bun, and Kongjue shook his hand and said to him, "Fuwa, you answer a question before I accept your alms." Fuwa smiled and said, Grandpa Monk, say it.
Would you like to invite you to the temple?
Not only am I willing to go, but I am also willing to be a monk like you. Fuwa stuffed the white bun into Master Kongjue's hand and said, "Grandpa monk, eat it while it's hot."
Are you telling the truth? The Void Mage looked at him with suspicion.
Monk Grandpa, where did I tell a lie? Fuwa asked for the glazed purple bowl from Master Kongjue's hand and asked, what is this for?
It seems that it is expected to turn Fuwa into a small novice in our temple. Master Kongjue said while eating hot buns, "However, if you want to study, our monastery will not accept you for the time being."
Heck, I just graduated from junior high school, I don't want to study anymore, I don't want to stay in the orphanage for the government to support me for nothing, I just want to be a monk in your monastery. Grandpa monk, I won't be in vain, I can do things!
Master Kongjue touched Fuwa's head and said, "Okay, I'll shave you."
As the saying goes: one monk carries water to eat, two monks carry water to eat, and three monks have no water to eat. This is about the monk trying to be lazy and not doing anything, and he became nervous every shot. In fact, this statement is not necessarily correct, since Fuwa came to the monastery, Master Kongjue gave him the name of Jueyuan.
Jue Yuan is very devoted, in addition to the heart of the Sutra to worship the Buddha, but also very diligent, to the temple outside the water almost all by him to carry the matter, so that the temple more than a dozen monks and nuns are very fond of him, especially Master Kongjue, usually looks very serious, but as soon as I see Jue Yuan's face is covered with laugh lines, but also often because of excitement and hug him, like a prayer flag, raise the hope of preaching in the temple. At this time, Master Kongjue and Jue Yuan will laugh very happily, Jue Yuan no longer calls him Grandpa Monk, but calls him Master, and calls him very kindly, Master, put me down, don't be tired of you.
To be a monk you need to be quiet, but you can feel that you like to move. When it comes to carrying water from a spring in the jungle outside the monastery and walking two kilometers back and forth on a bumpy mountain road, he has no complaints and is still full of interest.
On that occasion, he carried two empty buckets to Quantai to fetch water, and met two strange men who were drinking water from the cat's waist along the edge of Quantai, and their clothes were stained with lime, and at a glance he knew that they were agricultural workers who burned lime kilns. One of the pock-faced men looked at Jue Yuan, who was dressed in soap clothes, and said, "Little monk, you are also doing things in the temple, and you are also doing things in the mortal world, why don't you return to the vulgar?"
Donor, I am willing to be a monk who does things, and I never regret it. Jue Yuan replied calmly.
Be ambitious! An old man about fifty miles away wiped the water droplets from his mouth and praised him, and said, but, little monk, do you believe it or not? There are about ten people in your monastery, as long as two people come out to work regularly, they can provide for the life of the whole monastery.
Jue Yuan listened to it in his heart, and his eyes rolled. He also filled two buckets of spring water, and his thoughts seemed to have been baptized, which made him quietly give birth to a little mortal heart: yes, I am doing things in the temple, and I am also doing things in the mortal world, why not return to the vulgar? I am willing to support the monks in the entire Xishan monastery by working, so that they can reverently chant the Buddha and no longer spend too much energy on going out to make karma. Especially Master Kongjue, at such an old age, it is inconvenient to go out of the mountain to make a dervish again!
