282 Immortals
Across the Narrow Sea, Quells.
Daenerys Targaryen walked in the darkness with the sound of the black dragon Drogon's wings fluttering overhead.
Her nervousness calmed down a little.
She thought that the Immortal Hall of the Wizard was a magnificent place, but she didn't expect it to be so eerie and terrifying.
"Remember, Daenerys, once you're inside, take the door on the right, and always only the first door on the right." The wizard's admonition still echoed in his ears.
Daenerys pushed open the stone door to the right and entered a long, dimly lit hallway with a moldy carpet beneath her feet and the smell of decay in the air.
On the right is a row of smoking torches, but the doors are on the left.
An unsettling voice came from behind the door.
Daenerys tried not to listen, not to push the door on the left.
"Take the first door on the right." Remembering the wizard's warning, she walked briskly, but found no door on the right.
"Little princess. You're back. β
Daenerys was stopped by the familiar voice, the voice of Sir William Darey Sr.
She turned her head, and on the left she saw a red wooden door carved with lifelike animalsβ
That's her home in Braavos.
The only thing that warmed her in her childhood memory was that Sir William Sr. could still provide shelter and her brother was not crazy.
"Come to me, my princess, you are home. It's safe. β
Daenerys was tempted to push the door open, but she heeded the wizard's warning, and Sir William was long dead.
It's all illusion, it's fake.
She ran away in tears, and the corridor stretched all the way on, with endless doors on the left and only torches on the right.
There is still no door.
I don't know how long I ran, but a pair of huge bronze doors appeared on the left, and the doors opened automatically.
Inside the door, an old man in fine clothes sat on a towering and prickly throne, his hair silver gray.
"Let me reign over the charred bones and roasted flesh!" He cried out, "Make me the King of the Ashes!" β
The black dragon Drogon's scream, urging Daenerys forward.
She came to the second open bronze door, which contained a man who looked similar to her brother Viserys, but who was taller.
"Just call him Aegon." The man said to the woman who was breastfeeding in bed, "This is the best name for a king." β
"Would you write a song for him?" The woman wearing a garland of winter snow roses asked.
"He's got a song already." "He is the prince of prophecy, and his song is a song of ice and fire." β
As he spoke, the man looked out the door, his gaze meeting Daenerys.
"And ......," he said to the woman with the garland on her head, or to Daenerys, "the dragon has three heads......
The black dragon Zhuo Geng fanned his wings, urging her forward.
Daenerys stopped watching, and walked forward, and the torch suddenly began to go out.
Silence looms darkness, and the corridor seems endless, never ending.
Daenerys searched for the door on the right, but couldn't find it, it was only on the left.
The promenade came to an end, and there was no road ahead.
There is still no door on the right.
Is there an invisible door? Daenerys fumbled around the stone wall on the right, but found nothing.
But she suddenly realized that the first door on the right was not the last door on the left.
She slammed open the door on the left and entered a hall.
In the middle of the hall stood a group of people, dressed in magnificent robes, their faces solemn and solemn, and the rays of sunlight shining obliquely in, and even the air seemed to become sacred.
"Daenerys, House Targaryen, welcome to the Eternal Feast, we are the Immortals of Quells." Said a man who looked like a king.
"We've been waiting for you for a long time." Said the woman in the long red dress.
"We knew you were coming, a thousand years ago." The wizard with the high pointed hat said, "The red comet is a guide we sent. β
Daenerys involuntarily walked forward, and they reached out one after another, grabbed her, and hugged her.
"Come, come to our feast, share our knowledge, and here, you can get everything you want." They said.
Daenerys' gaze began to fog.
But just then, the black dragon Drogon's wings slammed into her head, and a scream of rage pierced the air.
The scorching flames erupted, and all the illusions in front of him dissipated.
The voice of the Quells witch suddenly sounded in his ears:
"Remember who you are, Daenerys. Remember who you are......"
Daenerys woke up suddenly, and was horrified to find that the gorgeously dressed immortals just now turned out to be almost skeleton bodies.
Their flesh has long since withered, and they are not breathing.
Are the immortals dead?
"We ...... Still alive......" they seemed to respond, "we ...... Immortal ......"
Their withered fingers tugged at Daenerys, as if longing for her flesh, her life.
But dragon fire consumed them.
Daenerys heard the screams of the Immortals as they burned, and they stumbled, tumbling and writhing.
In the flames, she saw the blue sea, the violent wind and waves.
A tall, handsome black-haired man stood by the sea, wearing bronze armor engraved with demonic patterns, and the giant sword in his hand shone like the setting sun. His eyes were one red gold, one pure white, and behind him were the raging flames of the sea andβ
Dragon!
White Dragon!
Daenerys saw a white dragon behind the man!
"Who are you?" She asked aloud, expectant in her tone.
It's a pity that the man ignored her, just a sad smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.
"Are you my brother?" Daenerys strode forward and rushed into the flames, "You're also a true dragon?" β
The man still didn't respond, half of his body covered in flames, the other half covered in ice and snow.
The sadness in his eyes faded into a cold dead silence.
Surrounded by countless figures whose faces could not be seen clearly, they were bowing to the men, cheering and praising as if they were welcoming the arrival of a king.
"Tell me your name!" Daenerys chased after him, rushing through the flames, and a door suddenly appeared in front of him, emitting a bright light.
She fell into the sunlight and staggered.
As soon as Daenerys turned around, she saw that she had walked out of the Hall of Immortality, and smoke seeped out like vines from the cracks in the stone walls of the ancient palace.
The wizard was swearing loudly in some unknown language, looking very angry.
In the next second, he drew his dagger and charged Daenerys, only to be knocked to the ground with a whip from Sir Jorah Mormont.
The knight drove away the mad wizard, and when he turned to Daenerys kneeling on the ground with a dazed expression, he asked with concern:
"My Queen, what's wrong with you?"
But Daenerys turned a deaf ear, just stared blankly at the void ahead, and muttered a name she had never heard of herself:
"Caesar......
