473 Cersei's fate

The Queen Mother in prison has trouble sleeping.

Every time she closed her eyes, her mind was filled with imaginations of horrific scenes.

Caesar didn't dare kill me. She comforted herself.

Even so, Cersei was terrified.

Time passed in and over, and the faint morning light was already shining through the window.

It's dawn.

Cersei, who hadn't slept all night, simply crawled out of bed and paced back and forth restlessly in the cramped cell.

Until there was a knock on the door.

"Who?"

"It's me."

Cersei heard her brother Tyrion's voice, and a look of disgust and ferocity flashed across her face, but she quickly relented.

"Come in." She said, trying to maintain the majesty of the Queen Mother.

Tyrion pushed the door in, and when he saw his sister sitting on the edge of the bed, he smiled slightly:

"Sister, it seems that you are doing well here."

"Did you come to see my jokes?"

"I'm not qualified to laugh at you." Tyrion shrugged, "We're all losers. ”

"But we have essential differences." Cersei pointed bitterly, "I will at least dare to fight to the death, and you will only wag your tail at the enemy and beg for mercy." What kind of lion are you, why don't you use a dog for her coat of arms instead! ”

"Thank you for your advice. I will think about it carefully. Tyrion politely said, "However, I think dogs are not bad, at least they recognize the situation and don't do anything stupid." ”

"The Lannisters are here today because of cowards like you!" The disdain in Cersei's eyes was about to drop, "Remember the lion in Castle Rock?" A real lion. ”

"The beasts in iron cages?" Tyrion was a little puzzled as to why his sister was mentioning this, but nodded anyway, "I remember that the lions were left by my grandfather. ”

"That's right." Cersei said, a look of memory in her eyes, "As children, Jaime and I encouraged each other to climb into cages.

Once, I had the courage to reach into the cage and touch the brown fur of a male lion.

The lion turned his head, stared at me with big golden eyes, and licked my fingers.

The lion's tongue was as rough as a whetstone, but I didn't flinch until Jaime grabbed me by the shoulders and pulled me back. ”

Tyrion's eyes widened, apparently hearing the story for the first time, and he smiled and whistled, saying:

"You should thank Jaime for saving your arm, otherwise he wouldn't have been the first cripple of the Lannisters."

"The first cripple of the Lannisters is you." Cersei fought back sharply.

She then continued:

"'It's your turn,' I said to Jaime at the time, 'touch its mane.'"

"I guess James didn't dare." Tyrion Road.

"Jaime really didn't dare." Cersei puffed out her chest proudly, "He doesn't have the courage I have. I'm the one who should hold the sword, not him, the shit!

It's just hateful that the gods are blind!

If I were a man, how could the Lannisters be reduced to this point! ”

Tyrion pursed his lips disdainfully:

"Sister, you shouldn't call it courage, you should call it crazy. Normal people know that don't put your arm to the lion's mouth. It didn't bite you that day, probably just because it was full. ”

"Coward's quibble." Cersei was equally dismissive of her brother's statement, "At least I'll dare to fight to the death, and you." ”

"Dear old lady, do you know what the consequences of your 'fight to the death' will be?"

Cersei's heart instantly lifted, but she pretended to be indifferent, and said lightly:

"Tell me, what is Caesar going to do to me?"

Without waiting for her brother to speak, she hurriedly added: "He has promised not to hold anyone accountable." ”

"That's the promise I got when I took Tommen out of the city to surrender, not counting the sins since then. And, old lady, do you know what the crime should be for attempting to burn down the Meige Tower and murdering the hundreds of nobles in it? ”

"Does he dare to kill me?"

"When Caesar was a little baron, he dared to kill the king in public. That king is your son, you can't forget it so quickly, do you? Tyrion admired the unconcealable fear on his sister's face, and suddenly changed his words, "However, after all, the situation in the Seven Kingdoms has just stabilized, and Caesar doesn't want to go on a killing spree at this time, so he gave you another choice." ”

"What choice?" Cersei looked unconcerned on the surface, but the eagerness in her tone couldn't hide it.

"Go to the Great Wall."

"He wants me to go to the Great Wall?" Cersei's face changed, "Is he stupid?" The Night's Watch never accepts women. ”

"Maybe I'm not accurate enough." Tyrion explained, "Not for you to go to the Wall of Desperation, but to a village south of the Wall called Mole Village, have you heard?" ”

"Mole Village? What the hell is that? ”

Tyrion's face became a little strange:

"The village is next to King's Road, just a few miles from Castle Black. Due to the cold weather, the villagers there like to dig deep and large basements and live underground to escape the icy cold winds. And the night watchman ...... Well, love to go there and dig up 'buried treasures'. ”

"Digging for treasure?" Cersei didn't understand.

Tyrion had no choice but to explain:

"You know, the Night's Watch swore not to take a wife, but as a man, there is always a desire to undo ......"

Cersei finally understood, "That damn village is the Night's Watch's Academy!" ”

"That's right." Tyrion shrugged.

Cersei's face turned pale, "Caesar is going to send me to the Academy!" I'm the Queen Mother of the Seven Kingdoms! She is the eldest daughter of the Lannister family in Castle Rock! ”

"For the better," Tyrion said quietly, "you can finally meet your longing brother." Tsk, I wonder if Jaime will keep his oath not to touch you......"

"You vicious little devil!" Cersei cried out in despair, "Is it just that you watching the Lannisters being humiliated by Caesar!" ”

"Let's face it, sis." Tyrion said unconcernedly, "We are not qualified to resist. And what you do yourself...... All I can say is that the sin deserves it. Even the nobles of the Western Frontier will not intercede for you. ”

"I want to see Caesar!" Cersei exclaimed.

"Caesar won't see you." Tyrion sighed, "The only mercy he can give you is for you to see Tomman and Mysella one last time before leaving. ”

"My children!" Cersei told herself not to cry, but she couldn't hold back her tears.

Tyrion silently turned and walked out, returning a moment later with Toman and Mysella.

"Mother!"

The three of them hugged and cried.

Tyrion walked out the door and asked them to say their final goodbyes.

After a long time, Cersei opened the door and walked out.

There were no tears on her face, although it was still pale.

"Are you ready?" When Tyrion saw his sister's appearance, no matter how much he didn't deal with her, he couldn't help but feel pity.

"Let's go." Cersei said lightly, "But I'm not going to give in." Never! ”

Tyrion glanced at his sister suspiciously:

"What do you want to do?"

"James." Cersei said, "He's my last hope." We came into this world together, and he would never leave me alone. ”

Tyrion shrugged helplessly and sighed:

"Oh, my poor old brother, I have gone to the Great Wall of Desperation, and I can't escape your entanglement, old lady. Okay, you can let him go. ”

Cersei glanced at her brother expressionlessly:

"Just stay here and lick Caesar's toes, the real lion is going to the Great Wall."

"Well, presumably a true lion must not be afraid of the cold." Tyrion teased.

After saying this, somehow, he suddenly thought of a god in Yidi—

Night Lion.

Legend has it that He is the Lord of the Long Night, the Source of Winter.
