Chapter 5 The Five Realms of Humans and Ghosts
"Samadha, the mind stops, the mind dwells, the body is peaceful, the Buddhas can be observed, the audience is the bodhisattva, from seeing the body, and the fruit is attained."
Jiang Kai read the preface word by word, vaguely understanding.
Unlike the samadhi mentioned by Master, this book does not seem to advocate just meditation and emptying everything when practicing Buddhism, but to do something great in this way.
The posture of the monk turning his hand and taking away the female ghost with a vajra came to mind, which made Jiang Kai have a bold conjecture: Is it possible... Is there really a way to practice in the world?
Jiang Kai became interested and continued to read.
By the time I took a cursory look at the entire text, it was late at night.
Jiang Kai's comprehension is very exaggerated, otherwise the old abbot who adopted him would not have cultivated him so carefully, if it weren't for the crooked man later, in fact, it would not be too much to say that the next host has already been decided.
So just after reading it once, except for some details that still need to be considered, the general core has been completely understood by Jiang Kai.
In general, this is not just a Buddhist scripture, but a systematic approach to practice.
According to the scriptures, the transition from the mortal to the transcendent is broadly divided into five stages.
The first stage is ordinary people, who are very fragile, afraid of cold and heat, prone to illness and injury, and follow the natural laws of life and death.
The second stage is the Jianghu Warlock, who knows some superficial techniques, can confuse auditions, can be psychic, and see part of the essence of the world, such as communicating with the dead, manipulating dead things such as paper figures, raising ghosts, and raising Gu with Gu, all of which are means that Jianghu Warlocks can perform.
For Buddhism, it is to be able to strengthen the body and nourish qi, exorcise demons and ward off evil spirits.
In the past, the charlatan warlock was already enough to rely on to go south and north, and many capable people once relied on these to leave a good or bad name in later generations.
But in reality, in the whole group of practitioners, it is only a beginner.
This third stage is called Tongtian Mage, and the word Tongtian is enough to explain the ability of these people, they have touched the essence of the world, and can perform some means that are unimaginable to ordinary people.
Asking for rain, seeking luck, calculating heaven, and calculating fate are just trivial things that are not worth mentioning to them.
If some of the unbelievable methods of the Jianghu Warlock are compared to the level of undergraduates, then the ability of the Tongtian Mage is like a doctor of 985, no longer staying on paper, and his attitude towards knowledge has changed from learning and using to exploring and discovering, which is a qualitative leap.
The fourth stage is called a half-immortal.
Different from the half-immortals who tell fortunes on the flyover, the half-immortals among the practitioners are the ones who can comprehend the laws of the world, and they have transcended life and death, and their bodies and minds have integrated into the laws of the world.
The rotation of nature, the law of life and death, and even the ethereal luck, the rise and fall of change, all cannot be interfered with.
There are Taoists who raise their hands between the black clouds and the five thunders that crush the city, and the thousands of troops and horses are scattered, and there are also monks who chant scriptures between their fingers, and the Ten Thousand Buddhas and the Dynasty Sect have surpassed countless undead, and there are swordsmen who pierce the sky and the galaxy with a sword, and the time is stagnant, and there are even more swordsmen who split the mountains and rivers with a knife and cut off the luck of a country, so that no one can know after thousands of years.
Half immortal, only half a step away from God.
And the fifth stage, with no explanation, has only one name: the true God.
Jiang Kai was amazed, although he yearned for it, but he didn't take it too seriously.
"It's worthy of being a monk, there is a set of bragging, and a compendium makes my blood boil."
He seemed to have completely forgotten that he had only been vulgar just over a year ago.
Underneath the detailed description of the phases, there are also some notes with different words that look like additions.
And these contents are for the division of the strength of ghosts.
The same five stages, corresponding to which are: ghosts, unjust souls, terrible ghosts, fierce spirits, and evil gods.
In the first two stages, ghosts are inferior to people, and ghosts and Tongtian mages are equally divided, but in the last two stages, ghosts are stronger than people.
This is because ghosts begin to give birth to wisdom from the beginning of ghosts, and the most important point that they are stronger than people is that ghosts have a clear purpose, and they are often very cruel and vicious, and have no mercy.
The ruthlessness and unscrupulousness of the character naturally make ghosts have fewer weaknesses than humans and are more difficult to deal with.
"If these are true, then that monk came and went without a trace, using the vajra bowl to collect ghosts and calm his mind like an arm, and he didn't seem to pay much attention to the Jianghu Warlock in the message I received, and it is very likely that he is the so-called Tongtian Mage."
Jiang Kai pondered:
"The female ghost... I don't know what the ingredients are, but it's obviously different from other ghosts, at least it has to be a wronged soul, so the monk should have saved my life? ”
Shaking his head, Jiang Kai abandoned these thoughts, anyway, he didn't encounter danger at that time, even if he had this kindness, he wouldn't admit it, and no one would think of kidnapping him!
"But this is a big luxury... Let's count me as owing him a favor, but only if it really works! ”
Jiang Kai thought about it, and opened the part that described the cultivation method in detail.
This scripture is not complete, and it is not to blame that the monk just asked Jiang Kai to practice to the Jianghu Warlock, and this scripture only went to the Jianghu Warlock, and then there was no more.
And the way of cultivation is also very suitable for the word "stop", because according to the scriptures, it is necessary to empty everything, not only to have no distractions, but also to forget your own name and name, and the best state is to have a blank mind.
Then, by reciting the sutras and using merit as a medium, you can connect with the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and then through visualization and worship, you can benefit from them and turn the merits into a source of strength.
In other words, unlike the aura in the novels of cultivating immortals, if you want to practice in reality, hard currency is merit.
So, the problem arises.
"No wonder I said earlier that all those who practice, they must be good for ten years first, and communicate with heaven and earth with merit, and after a long time, they actually have to bring good people to practice?"
Jiang Kai's expression was a little distorted.
It's easy to say that you want money, life, and chastity, but it's a bit difficult to make merit.
With his daily high-intensity viewing of all kinds of hellish pleasures and doing all kinds of immoral behaviors, where does he get any merit?
Including the monk said that the merit will retreat from him, and the blessing will gradually pass, so why still cultivate a ghost?
"The monk said that there is ominous misfortune in me, it will become a great disaster, and I can only resolve the calamity by transcending the mundane, if it is true, then I can't accumulate merit now, if I can't accumulate merit, I can't practice, if I can't practice, I can't resolve the calamity, isn't this a dead cycle?"
Thinking about it, Jiang Kai felt unreasonable.
This is simply not giving people a way to live!
"No wonder the monk ran away after pretending to beep, he must have thought of this problem too, but in that case, why didn't he just tell me that it was already cold?"
This made Jiang Kai feel a headache, but he couldn't find anyone who could help, not to mention that the monk's whereabouts were uncertain, and he didn't even know what his name was, even his master didn't know where he went, and when he wanted to borrow money a few months ago, he found that the temples where he had lived for more than ten years had been empty.
Although judging from the existing information, the old abbot who is kind and kind on weekdays is definitely not simple, but Jiang Kai can no longer count on it.
Thinking about whether to take advantage of the calamity that has not yet come, and rely on recruiting ghosts to go out and be abducted and deceived for a few years, a strange idea appeared in my mind.
"Shhhhh
Jiang Kai's eyes narrowed slightly, and he began to hypnosis himself:
"Master said that I owe the Buddha merit, and I am about to become a murderer, that is to say, I have a number, right? If merit can be used as money, it is equivalent to my current situation as a debtor who owes money.
The ferocity is comparable to a half-immortal, it must be very awesome, in this case, I must owe a lot of money to the Bank of Heaven and Earth.
I owe the bank 10,000, and the bank ignores me, but I owe the bank 10 billion, then I am the bank's father!
Others practice by merit, I practice by owe merit, it seems... It makes sense..."
Just do what he said, Jiang Kai didn't care about thirty-seven twenty-one, tried it first, and then said, immediately abandoned all distracting thoughts, and entered the state of samadhi according to the scriptures.
Suddenly, the Buddha's rhyme appeared, lining Jiang Compassion's incomparable peace and tranquility, if you don't know him, you may really think that he is a high-ranking monk.
This state of concentration lasted for an unknown amount of time, and when Jiang Kai recited the scriptures for the eighty-first time, some kind of outline of existence really appeared in the originally empty vision.
But just one glance, Jiang Kai suddenly opened his eyes.
In his eyes, there were surprises, confusion, incomprehension, and doubts.
A thousand words finally turned into one sentence:
"It's weird, take another look."
