Chapter 393: Straight to the point
The witchers never travel day or night.
Especially in the case of catching up with time.
At night, it's dangerous.
There is a risk of being beaten by thugs in the streets of London, let alone in a world where such monsters are reborn.
However, they were lucky not to encounter too dangerous creatures, only a group of evil spirits.
Evil ghosts are one of the most common types of monsters.
It is a creature that looks and is similar in stature to a house-elf, except that the ears are not so large, small and pointed, and the horns hang down.
They're not that dangerous.
A single evil ghost can be dealt with even by a farmer with a pitchfork.
But.
The headache of evil ghosts is never the strength of the individual, but the quantity.
One evil ghost doesn't matter, five evil ghosts start to give the witchers a headache, and if the number reaches ten, even the witchers are at risk of dying.
Of course, it wasn't much of a problem to Harry and Hermione.
Magic is extremely useful against such a large number of monsters, but not so powerful, and it only takes a single Freezing Spell to eliminate them all.
Harry hadn't forgotten to collect the materials on them.
The evil spirits are weak, though.
But their hearts are the necessary ingredient for the white Lafada decoction – a potion that heals wounds on the body in a short time.
Even if you don't use it yourself, it's good to bring it to Professor Snape and let him study it.
The appearance of these creatures made Hermione a little more comfortable.
Sitting on the horse, the cold wind blew, and she asked, "So the humanoid corpses we saw on the side of the road were actually the corpses of such creatures?" ”
Harry shook his head, "Hermione, you think of the world too well. ”
Sure enough, it was still a human corpse.
Hermione didn't speak, clenching her wand.
She felt that the level of danger she imagined was still not comparable to the real cruelty of this world.
Wait until the next evening.
They rushed to a village.
It seems to be located on an island in the middle of a lake, surrounded by deep rivers.
"Here we are." Harry spoke, recalling the contents of the map.
They dismounted.
Walking into the village, they followed the road on the far left until they reached a gate, where a huge grid-shaped iron gate fell down to block their way.
In front of the door, two guards stared at the two of them.
They looked young and unarmed, which made them less nervous.
"Stop." One of the guards raised his hand and said in a serious tone, "Who is it?" ”
Harry paused, "I want to see the Baron." ”
The guard raised an eyebrow: "You? Who? ”
Harry looked behind him.
On the wall, which is closed on the other side by a grid-like iron door, there is a missing person revelation with the head of a young girl.
"The Witcher." Harry replied, "I think you barons need it right now, don't you?" ”
Harry didn't hide his gaze.
The guard followed, looked back, and the notice broke into his eyes, but he didn't turn his head back: "Open the door!" ”
"Sergeant Adar, we've got a witcher to see the baron."
With a click, the iron door went up.
"Don't cause trouble, witcher." The guard then turned his head back and looked at him meaningfully.
Harry spoke calmly, "If you don't mess with me, I think we'll have a great time." ”
Adar led the way.
Harry didn't strike up a conversation with him, and was silent all the way.
The dreary sergeant led them into the most luxurious room in the whole village, went up to the top floor, and brought them to one room.
"I'll let you in later." Adar turned back and admonished.
Without waiting for Harry to reply, he raised his hand and knocked, then pushed the door open.
He had just walked in on his front foot.
Harry walked in with Hermione on his hind feet.
"What are you doing?" Adar gritted his teeth, "What I said."
Harry interrupted with a wave of his hand, "I don't have time to waste that much. ”
"And, when did the soldiers begin to learn the red tape of the nobility?"
Adar narrowed his eyes and didn't speak.
In the room, the fat man with a big belly stood up and looked at Harry with some surprise: "The witcher? ”
"I thought it was going to be the white-haired one."
Harry looked at him, "Ciri has already been here?" ”
"You're looking for Ciri, too?" He looked at Harry warily, especially his empty chest.
He was sure that Harry was a witcher, and those distinctive eyes were the best proof of that.
But in general.
The Witcher always wears something around his neck that shows his identity.
"You've probably heard Ciri talk about me, the wolf witcher, Harry." Harry noticed the wary look in his eyes and introduced himself.
"Harry the Serpent Whisperer?" The baron raised an eyebrow, "The wolf witcher who is always mistaken for the Viper School?" ”
"Of course, Ciri and I have mentioned you, but you are much younger than she described."
Harry's tone was calm: "How long has Ciri been away from here?" ”
The baron waved his hand.
Adar understood, stepped back, and closed the door.
"When we meet for the first time, we always have to introduce ourselves." The baron turned around and groped his eyes around the room, "I'm Philip Strenger, but everyone in the neighborhood calls me the Bloody Baron." ”
"Damn, where's my vodka?"
Harry's tone remained calm, "How long has Ciri been gone?" ”
"Why don't you sit down and have a few drinks with me, and then we can talk about these things slowly?" The baron's tone was brisk, and he grabbed the bottle, "Ciri has lived with me for a while, and it is not something that can be explained in a sentence or two. ”
"And Willen is big, full of woods, swamps, monsters, want to find"
Harry interrupted him again, "Baron, I know what you're trying to say. ”
"You want to use Ciri's business to blackmail me into helping you find your daughter?"
The baron was stunned and put the wine bottle down: "It is worthy of being a witcher, and it is really keen." ”
"But don't say it so young, it's not a threat, it's a commission, I use Ciri's information to entrust you to do something for me."
Harry looked straight at him, "I know a lot, Baron. ”
"Where is your daughter, and what group of people are you hanging out with now?"
"Where's your wife?"
"And, did she really have a miscarriage because of your violence?"
The baron clenched his fists and looked at Harry incredulously, "Someone is talking to you?" ”
No matter how sharp a witcher is, he can't be so sharp.
I haven't said anything yet.
"Really?" Harry chuckled.
"Where are Anna and Tamara?" The baron asked.
Harry looked at him staringly, "How long has Ciri been out of here?" ”
The two of them looked at each other.
"Do you really know where they are?" The baron asked confirmatively.
Harry whispered, "I'm a witcher, a wolf witcher. ”
The baron sat back, struggling inwardly.
It was hard for him to believe that just the first time they met, a demon hunter he didn't know before, could know all about the two biggest troubles in his heart.
But. He's a friend of Ciri's, Harry the Snake Whisperer.
"Well, you've won, Witcher." He muttered, "It's been almost a month since Ciri left here. ”
I recommend a book "Illiterate Top Stream: Three Years of Rottenness, Fire to Becoming a Superstar", which I am really chasing!!!!
Very well written, natural writing.
And it's not the same as the general entertainment literature, the breath of natural life is very strong.
The protagonist crosses into the top stream, but there is no plot that is too deliberate to pretend to be forced to slap the face, and the structure and story occur very naturally.
The setting of the protagonist is the type that lies flat, but does not mess up.
It's a normal person.
A lot of those who write lying flat are written as rotten, but this one is not rotten.
If I can make money, I will do a good business, and I will not get involved in areas that I am not good at.
There is no type of copyist who writes too much, and he doesn't just take a song out and "destroy the world" or something.
This kind of protagonist who is very normal is rare, is there !!!!!
I'm looking forward to the follow-up development!!!
Really highly recommended!!!!!!!
