Chapter Ninety-Nine: Rune Weight

Finally, a research idea that seemed to see the light of day was finally obtained, and the Carr lab immediately entered the research state. Except for the researcher who needed to go to Xinglan Elementary School to work as a teacher, everyone else began to live a two-point and one-line life in the Carl Laboratory.

Aside from sleeping, meditating, and eating, Xia Lin and the researchers stayed in the laboratory all day repeating the process of building spell models, casting spells, accumulating data, and drawing conclusions.

Since spells produce spell effects as soon as they take effect, and spell effects are often not created at a single point, but within an area, they must do a lot of experimentation to find this area of effect.

It's an extremely boring and tedious job, but the researchers at Karl Labs are used to it, and they know that there is no way to find the essence of magic without going through such research.

Finally, after five days of hard work, Karl's Lab came up with the range of the center of action of a total of nineteen spell models mastered by many members of the lab, and began to study the patterns against their rune types.

This new path was full of new discoveries, and shortly after starting research, Xia Lin and his researchers came to a seemingly interesting conclusion.

"The center of effect of the Zero Ring spell is often at the junction between two Class 1 runes...... The center of action of a one-ring spell is often within the range of three rune groups made up of a type of rune......

Xia Lin looked at the conclusions reached by his group and vaguely felt some of the rules contained in it.

"It feels like a geometric problem of finding the center of gravity of a polygon, and the coordinates of the center of gravity are calculated by the coordinates of the points that make up the polygon, so can these runes have similar properties?

Harper, Luna, find me all the lab reports for spell models that use the Shared Psychic Node Connection and the Psychic Power Increasing Node Connection! Hurry up!"

Xia Lin realized the similarity and immediately commanded his assistants.

Seeing that Xia Lin seemed to have some new ideas, the two of them hurriedly found the type of Xia Lin's request from the bookshelf with various experiment reports on the side and handed it to him.

Xia Lin immediately began to check the experimental data and began to draw the area of action of these connected nodes and spell models in the magic crystal ball.

Eventually, however, he found that the nodes of the spell model that took node connections didn't seem to have a pattern to their center of action.

"No, I seem to have overlooked something?"

Xia Lin looked at the spiritual power nodes he had just built in the magic crystal ball and pondered, and the corner of his eye swept over several other magic crystal balls that kept the magic crystal balls such as flame arrows and scorching rays, and looked at the dense spiritual power nodes in them, and suddenly had a flash of inspiration:

"I see! I got one thing wrong from the start! The center of action of the spell model is not determined by the rune connection, but by the number and arrangement of rune nodes that make up the spell model!

It's like putting several triangles together into a more complex polygon, and the center of gravity of the polygon is determined by the vertex coordinates of the triangles that piece together the polygon!"

Xia Lin finally figured out the law of the center of the spell model, but this rule didn't seem to have anything to do with the mystery of the rune connection he wanted to crack the most.

And there seems to be a question in this newfound pattern, that is, why the area at the center of action is always above a class of runes.

Obviously, there are also many nodes in the second type of runes that make up the other rune modules, and it stands to reason that the second type of runes will also affect the center of the spell model.

However, among the nineteen spell models currently mastered by Karl's lab, the center of action is all located on a type of rune of the spell model without exception.

After thinking about it for a while, Xia Lin guessed if it was because the first type of runes that could take effect independently were more special than the second type of runes, and they took up more weight in the spell model?

That's right! Weight! Xia Lin finally came up with a suitable word to describe the relationship between the runes and the centers of action in the spell model

Various runes have different weights in the spell model according to the type and the number and arrangement of spiritual power nodes, and these weights determine the position of the center of action of the spell model.

For example, if two of the same Fire Runes have a weight of 1.0 for each other, then the center of their Thermalism model is the connection between the two runes.

However, in the more complex Flame Arrow spell model, the Fire Rune, Mana Matter Rune, Structure Rune, Shape Rune, and Kinetic Rune work together, causing the center of action of the spell model to shift.

This weight hypothesis doesn't seem to have anything to do with rune connections at the moment, but Xia Lin thought about it and decided to continue researching, so that he might be able to reveal the essence of some runes.

According to this hypothesis, the next research is to establish a mathematical model of the weight of other runes based on one or several runes.

Then through a series of complex mathematical operations, the weights of these runes in various spell models are calculated, and then see if these complex equations can be solved to obtain a specific coordinate of the action center, and then through this specific coordinate, the weight relationship between the base point runes can be reversed.

After finally obtaining the weight relationship between all the runes and the runes of a certain base point, Xia Lin and the others can take a look at what kind of rules are contained in these data based on these data.

The members of the laboratory were told about this discovery, and after understanding the hypothesis proposed by Xia Lin, they all looked at each other.

While they were all interested in what would be achieved by continuing Luna's research on the Rune Center and the Spell Model Center Theory, the path did not seem promising, and the computation would cost a person's life.

Each spell model can come up with a set of equations, in which each rune has three weight unknowns, and all they have to do is combine the relationships between the various systems of equations to solve these weight unknowns.

This process can be imagined how arduous it is, and even Luna, who proposed the theory of the center of action of rune centers and spell models, is a little apprehensive about it.

However, since Xia Lin felt that there might be some achievements behind this path that could reveal the essence of runes and spell models, many researchers in Karl's laboratory could only follow his baton.

Therefore, everyone soon raised all their enthusiasm and began to list the equations of various spell models according to the ideas provided by Xia Lin.
