Chapter 4 Mortal Masters

The oak trees in the middle of the lake were still standing, and a crack suddenly opened in the trunk.

Kano crawled out of the trunk of the tree, naked and covered in sap.

He coughed incessantly, coughing out the sap from his lungs, and then greedily breathed in the fresh air.

It was his first breath in the world.

The oak tree beside him hung its branches and rested on Kano's shoulder. The green leaves fell, weaving a soft green robe for Kano.

Kano rested for a while, pulled the green robe on his body, stood up with a smile, and hugged the big oak tree in front of his mother.

"Wait, Mother, next time I'll come back with my father."

The oak swayed, as if nodding in response.

Canopus set out, and Morgan's blessing made him walk straight across the lake and onto the shore.

Didn't Merlin say hello for me, why didn't anyone pick it up?

An owl flew in the sky, hovering in search of something. When it saw Kano holding his head up, it immediately swooped down and threw the letter into Kano's hand.

Kano held up his arms for the owl to grasp steadily, and the other for the letter.

The envelope reads, Field, Island in the middle of the lake, Canopus in the oak trees. Received by Mr. Black.

Before Kano could read the letter, a whirlwind rose and a purple-robed figure swirled and appeared.

He wears a long, pointed gray hat, a wrinkled face, and a pair of glasses with half-moon lenses resting on the crooked bridge of his nose.

His beard and hair were bright silver, and his blue eyes shone with wisdom.

It seems that this is the person Merlin is looking for, the most powerful white wizard in the Harry Potter series, Dumbledore.

Kano looked at the old man, and the old man looked at Kano as well.

The little boy in front of him is handsome, with a free and uninhibited temperament in his gestures. I was not afraid of myself, but I was a little curious.

"Mr. Gandalf?" Kano greeted with a smile.

"Although I can also set off fireworks, it's a pity that I'm not a white-robed mage."

The old man bowed slightly and looked directly at Kano: "Hello, little sir, I'm Albus. Dumbledore. ”

"I'm Canopus. Black. ”

The old and the young shook hands, and they all smiled.

"I have a lot of questions on my mind, but I think you need a place to stay right now."

Dumbledore took out his wand and waved, and a large golden and red bird appeared from the sky, pulling up a flash of fire, and finally landed on Dumbledore's shoulder.

"This is Fox, my friend." Dumbledore whispered, "It's still far from civilization, let's take a shortcut." ”

Kano looked at Phoenix Fawkes curiously, and Fawkes tilted his head and rubbed the top of Kano's head.

Dumbledore was a little surprised, but didn't ask. He stroked Fawkes' beautiful golden and red feathers, and pressed his other hand on Kano's shoulder.

"The Leaky Cauldron Bar."

Fawkes let out a soft roar, and the two of them and one bird turned into flames at the same time and disappeared into the field.

The next second, they appeared on a street full of people. A large number of people crowded around, not even noticing their sudden appearance.

Dumbledore muttered something, and Kano could tell it was a simplified human expulsion spell.

The crowd parted immediately, as if an invisible wall pushed them aside, bypassing them and moving on unconsciously.

"This time it's to show you the way, otherwise I'll go directly to Diagon Alley."

Dumbledore explained. As an old man, he didn't want to squeeze around in the crowd.

Following his head, Kano saw a sign with a leaky cauldron hanging in mid-air.

Next to it is a bookstore and a record store, but it seems that only wizards can see this sign.

"The Leaky Cauldron Bar, the entrance to Diagon Alley."

The tall, thin Dumbledore lowered his head slightly and led Kano into it.

As a bar, it's very qualified. For example, the smoke swirling, the dim light, and all kinds of people who don't know whether they are drunk or awake.

But the dΓ©cor was a little too shabby and dirty, and with a slight glance from Kano, Superman's vision caught in hundreds of places where the filth was hidden.

Dumbledore came here like a phoenix in a hen's nest.

Many people were excited and wanted to come up and say hello to the old principal. Tom, the hunchbacked proprietor, turned over from behind the bar and politely asked Dumbledore what he was doing.

"Take it easy, Tom, you're younger than me."

The hunchbacked Tom laughed, and the guest next to him knocked over the butterbeer in his cup and drooled all over his body.

"There's a kid here who is about to start school, and he's going to be staying at the Leaky Cauldron for a while." Dumbledore blinked, "The room fee is on the school's account. ”

"Understood, I'll arrange the most comfortable room immediately."

Tom immediately complied, and Kano and Dumbledore followed Tom upstairs with the oil lamp.

The three of them left the lobby, and the atmosphere immediately returned to the bustle. This time, though, the center of the conversation became Kano.

Kano thought everyone was ignoring him, but when did Dumbledore take the new life himself?

"I think he must be Dumbledore's bastard."

A sneaky wizard wrapped in a cloak guessed.

"I don't know if he's an illegitimate child, but I know that this has made the old headmaster's supporters hear, and you don't say you want to be a frog for two days."

The wizard immediately shut up, and the drinkers laughed merrily.

"Could it be someone from a pure-blood family?"

"They have their own big villa, how can they live in a cauldron bar with a low price?"

Old Tom stepped down and waved his wand to send a rag flying and gagged the man who spoke.

"What's wrong with my bar? Even if the Minister of Magic comes, he can stay! ”

Everyone laughed again as the gagged guy spewed flaming whiskey out of his nostrils and was rolling all over the ground.

At this time, Dumbledore had already helped Kano settle in and was ready to leave.

"If there's any problem, just ask Tom."

Dumbledore finally couldn't hold back his curiosity, squinting his eyes and asking, "Black... Is that Blake? ”

"Headmaster, my name is Canopus, the old man star of the ship's base. I guess with this nomenclature, there won't be another Black family in the wizarding world. ”

Kano spread his hands, and Dumbledore nodded thoughtfully.

"Tomorrow I'll take you to Diagon Alley to buy school necessities, a list of which is in the attached page of your enrollment letter. Have a good rest today. ”

Dumbledore then left, leaving Kano standing by the window.

"Headmaster, what a powerful man."

Kano couldn't help but sigh, even compared to Merlin, Dumbledore was only one line behind. And as a wizard rather than a druid, he might be a little more capable of fighting.

So how powerful is Voldemort?

Kano quietly put away his contempt and faced the wizarding world with a more cautious attitude.

Before falling asleep, he couldn't help but think about the wand.

Tomorrow, what kind of wand will he get?
