Chapter Ninety-Nine: The First Meeting (1/3 for the Book Friend Red Comet Masgar)
Suddenly, all the lights went out, and the little wizards shouted.
In fact, no one is harmed, but light represents warmth and security, and the pursuit of light is an instinct engraved in human bones.
Ginny and Luna huddled together, and Kano sat in silence in the dark.
The smell of decay drew closer, and the door slowly opened.
A tall, tattered black cloaked creature hovered in mid-air, poking its head in, slowly looking from left to right.
The chill that swept in the heart was different from the feeling brought by the autumn rain, which was an emotional effect.
It seems to freeze all the passion and joy, and make people no longer have the slightest interest in the world.
This is the Dementors, the jailers of Azkaban, the minions of the Ministry of Magic.
Luna's eyes widened as she glared at the Dementors. Ginny closed her eyes, but her wand didn't relax.
And for Kano, this chill seemed to clash with his attributes, making his heart inexplicably ignite a burst of anger.
The Dementor didn't seem to have any intention of leaving, and the pleasure in the carriage just now made it want to take two more sips.
But it didn't notice that Kano didn't want to put up with it anymore.
He jerked to his feet, raised his arm and grabbed the Dementor's neck. The Dementors, who were fluttering and seemingly disembodied, were actually caught.
Where Kano's hand touched the Dementor, there was a sizzling sound, and a puff of white smoke came up.
The Dementor struggled in agony, its rotting mouth open under its hood, trying to suck Kano's pleasure and force him to let go.
But Kano's eyes glowed like the morning sun, and the Dementor became even more painful, writhing to get away from Kano.
Kano grabbed the Dementor by the neck and pressed him against the wall of the hallway, and the entire hallway of the Dementors who were sucking pleasure from the fake public were turning their heads and looking at him with their black holes.
"Divine Guard!"
A burst of silver light drove a Dementor out of the carriage, and a pale-faced Professor Lupin followed with his wand in hand.
But he saw Kano standing at the end of the hallway, holding a Dementor's neck against the wall with his left hand, and holding his wand flat in his right hand.
"Divine Guard!"
A blast of silver and gold spread out in a fan, including the unlucky egg in Kano's hand, and all the Dementors were knocked away by the positive energy shockwave like bowling balls, colliding and flying in the corridors, and all of them were separated from the train, spun and disappeared into the rain.
Brightness and warmth returned to the express train at the same time, and the sounds of crying and comfort were heard in many of the carriages.
Ignoring the pleasantries, Lupin walked back to the carriage to check on Harry.
Harry had just fainted when he faced the Dementors.
Kano also returned to the carriage and took out two roasted acorns and watched the two girls eat them, and his own emotions slowly calmed down.
"You guys take a break, I'll go see Harry." Kano said.
"I'll go too." Ginny's teeth chattered, and she barely stood up.
Luna wordlessly stood up and helped Ginny, and the three of them walked together to Harry's carriage.
As a professor, Lupin now needs to check on each student and communicate with the driver.
So when Cano opened the car door, he happened to meet Lupin, who wanted to go out.
"Canopus, great Patronus Charm. If it weren't for the train, I'd really like to give Gryffindor extra points. Lupin patted Kano on the shoulder seriously and walked out from the side.
Kano nodded in acknowledgment and staggered into the carriage.
With Harry's trio and Neville walking through the wrong door in the dark, Kano once again separates the acorns, and with the chocolate Lupin left behind, everyone's faces are bloodied.
"Just... Just now, Kano, what you used to banish the Dementors was the Patronus Charm? ”
After listening to Ron's introduction to the Dementors, Harry, whose teeth were still fighting, asked about the spells that Kano and Lupin had just used.
"You can learn from Professor Lupin when school starts, but you have to think about happy things when you cast spells." Kano replied.
"Facing the Dementors, thinking of happy things?" Hermione shook subconsciously.
Neville seemed to think of his parents, who had been tormented by the Mind Curse, and he hadn't recovered yet, as if he hadn't heard anything.
Harry was at a loss, and he was searching for happy things.
Finally, the train arrived.
Never before have the little wizards been so eager to get out of the train and rush to the warm castle.
Kano and Neville, Luna and Ginny get into Thestrals' carriage. This time, Kano saw the black, skinny creatures for what they were.
They have no pupils, white eyes that don't show emotion, and broad batwing on their shoulders.
Noticing Kano's gaze, Luna glanced at him curiously.
"Can you see that?"
"Well, I can see it now." Kano nodded.
Ginny and Neville are confused, but neither Luna nor Kano has the meaning of explaining.
Luna's mother misses a spell and explodes into a cloud of blood in front of little Luna.
And Kano has killed a lot of scum in the past few years, and his understanding of death is now very profound.
Entering the gate and walking up the steps of the castle, Kano heard a lot of relief from many.
Hogwarts, a warm home.
"Harry, Ron, Hermione, Carno! Follow me! ”
Professor McGonagall, dressed in a green robe, shouted from the crowd, and the four students obediently followed her to the school hospital.
Harry, who had fainted, went to get checked, Ron and Hermione went in to accompany him, and Kano was left outside by Professor McGonagall.
"Kano, you really used a great Patronus Charm." Professor McGonagall was relieved, "But given your special status, try not to actively clash with the Dementors in the future. ”
"I understand, Professor. In my capacity as the current school manager, I am ready to mobilize the power of the school board to protest. ”
"But even Dumbledore couldn't stop the Dementors from coming, and it was a bill that Fudge forced through." Professor McGonagall had to warn Carnot.
"I know this, the school board will not be more powerful than Dumbledore." Kano nodded, "I have my own ideas, don't worry. ”
Professor McGonagall was about to say something, but Harry had finished checking and walked out.
The four young wizards returned to the Great Hall Hall, and the Sorting Ceremony was over.
The silver-bearded Dumbledore stood up, ready to begin his speech for the new school year.
There is no doubt that every year the conversation revolves around the biggest security threat of the year, and this year's biggest threat is the Dementors.
"No amount of trickery, tricks, or disguises can fool the Dementors - not even the Cloak of Invisibility. Moreover, the nature of the Dementors does not understand justification and begging for mercy. So I remind all of you not to let them justify hurting you. ”
The little wizards who had just seen the power of the Dementors listened silently, more honest than ever.
"Let's change the subject to a more pleasant one," Dumbledore smiled again, "two new teachers have joined our team this year. ”
