Chapter 136: Underwater Ruins
Sirius was thrown out of Alexandria in his sleep and on the back of a camel.
Men and women in white robes led a herd of camels through the desert.
Kano was among them, no one tried to restrict his movements or take his wand, and he didn't feel like he had been kidnapped.
"Where are we?"
Early in the morning, Sirius was blown on his face by a burst of scorching sand, opened his eyes, and asked half-asleep.
"I don't know, anyway, the clues are there." Kano spread his hands.
He found that the people around him were quite unkind to Sirius, but they were more respectful to him, but not too humble, and the attitude was completely different from the Egyptians he had seen on the street.
The sun slowly rises, and the desert, which is still cold at night, becomes hot.
"You don't mind if I use magic, do you?" Kano looked at the woman next to him.
"No problem, I'm Nito Chriss, just call me Nito." The woman nodded in the shadow of the hood.
"Clear water is like a spring."
Kano's wand spewed a torrent of water, making a circle around everyone in the caravan, lowering the temperature around them considerably.
Kano felt the eyes of many people in the group sweep over him, and then retracted it.
The team continued to move west, and finally, before dark, a small town appeared on the horizon.
"Today we are there for a night's rest, I think you have a lot to ask me, and I will pick something to say to answer you." Nito commanded the caravan to unload, speaking to Kano in passing.
Usually Kano is the riddler, but now the feng shui is in turn, and it is the turn of others to be the riddler in front of him.
"Are these people really okay, or we'll sneak out at night, right?" Sirius leaned in and whispered, "You won't apparate, but I will." ”
"I'm going to fly away as an eagle, black dog." Kano gave him a blank look, "Listen to me, you can rest in peace." ”
Sirius scratched his head, felt a hand of sand, and reluctantly followed the unloading men and Kano into the town.
There were many children of all ages in the town, and many children ran up to them, chatting with the men and women carrying supplies in a language that Kano did not understand, and their expressions of admiration were their children.
They both seemed to know Nito, but when they saw Kano, their expressions were strange.
This is strange, Cano thought that the information he was coming was secretly passed on to the old guys in the "Reed Field" by Merlin, so he sent someone to pick him up in a prophetic way.
The Reed Plain is the Egyptian version of Gensokyo, and they are on the same level, the eternal abode of the soul.
The reeds are said to be filled with pharaohs of yesteryear.
But they won't even notify the children, will they? Why does everyone seem to know me?
A short time after Kano and Sirius had settled in, a girl with teeth who pretended to be mature walked in and left the room with her.
Kano was taken to a normal house, and after a while Nito walked in.
"Who are you, and how do you know who I am?" Kano asked two of the most critical questions first.
Neto shook his head and didn't answer at all.
"You're so insincere in communicating."
"You're looking for the origin of a magic, right? I know where it is. Nito spoke calmly.
"You know?"
"What you're looking for is the canonization, the source spell of the mummification tradition. Now it's soaking in the ruins of Canopis, and you'll be able to see it tomorrow. ”
Kano nodded with interest, "Do you really know, did the people in the Reed Plains tell you?" ”
Nito still shook his head: "The gods are gone, we are not interested in the affairs of the upper realm, we only care about the happiness of the mortal world." ”
After that, she paused again: "And we gave up our faith many years ago, and even the remaining pharaoh spirits on the reed field have long been unable to contact us. ”
This came as a surprise to Kano: "You know so much about the situation, it seems that you are a priestess?" ”
"Don't you believe in God's priests?" She smiled and asked, "By the way, how is your memory?" ”
"Very good, what?"
"Before dawn, learn our language." Nito waved his hand undoubtedly, and a few little girls waiting outside the door brought in a large stack of books, "I heard and heard that I have mastered all the reading and writing, otherwise it will be in vain if you see it tomorrow." ”
The next day, when Sirius finally broke free from the aftermath of seasickness and got up to look for Kano, he found the guy playing eagle and chick with a group of local kids with a dough cake.
His mouth kept spouting unfamiliar words, and the children responded to him with babbling back.
"How long have I been asleep?" Sirius took the dough from Kano and shoved it into his mouth.
"It's only a few hours, don't look at me like that, I'm just learning New Egyptian and I'm practicing speaking with them all the time." Kano explained helplessly.
"I almost thought you were in league with them, ready to sell me."
"You're really right, I'll go into the water with Nito later, and we may not be able to come back for a day, so you have to help them guard the settlement."
After learning the language yesterday, Kano learned that there were more than 300 people in this settlement, and there were 23 wizards, of which more than half were young wizards.
Today, in order to take Kano into the water, five people who are familiar with the underwater situation, including Nito, will be transferred, so that there are only four extraordinary combat forces left in the settlement that can come in handy.
Kano doesn't need protection, let Sirius stay on top of it.
"You've got to tell me who the enemy is?"
"Probably the Egyptian Ministry of Magic."
Sirius wasn't afraid of anything, he was a wanted criminal, an excellent graduate of Azkaban, and the British Aurors couldn't catch him in the end.
But now that he's a Guardian, it's not the same as fleeing.
You can't take a step back, and you may be fine if you retreat, but the people behind you will definitely shed blood.
"How did these people mess with the Ministry of Magic?"
"They go around teaching people, teaching knowledge and spreading the idea of independence and self-reliance." Kano reluctantly said, "The Egyptian Ministry of Magic thinks they almost wrote the rebellion on their faces." ”
"So they've come up with an excuse to violate international secrecy law and keep getting them in trouble."
Sirius curiously took the English leaflet in Kano's hand and applauded as he read it.
"Look slowly, I'm leaving."
Nito and the others were ready, and Kano took the broomsticks they handed over, and the six of them flew to the beach together.
After an hour, the eyes finally ceased to be a dusk color, and a blue marginal line appeared in the distance.
"You're okay with the bubble head spell, right?"
Kano nodded, cast a spell on himself, and jumped straight into the water.
Guided by Nito's gestures, a majestic but dilapidated ruin appeared before them.
