Chapter 21: The Cloak of Invisibility and the Magic Mirror
Eternal life is a being pursued everywhere.
The Philosopher's Stone can do it, although not immortality in the strict sense, but it is enough.
"If there is a magic stone, it will be of great help to me in refining things."
Of course, John was just thinking about it.
The Philosopher's Stone seems to be a legendary thing, and no one has ever seen it in reality.
However, this reminded John that he could start with alchemy, and maybe he could master "Goblin Foundry" faster.
"There may be one in the forbidden area, I can go and see it."
Just do it, John cast a phantom spell on himself.
He left the Room of Request and approached the fifth-floor library.
To make sure he wouldn't be caught, John pulled out a map of the live spots.
"Harry is out?"
John saw Harry coming out of Gryffindor Tower and guessed that he had gone out for a night trip.
Looking at his direction, it seems to be with his own purpose.
However, when he reached the forbidden area, John didn't see Harry.
Strangely, he saw the deadbolt of the forbidden book area open automatically.
"Cloak of Invisibility."
With the answer in mind, John remembered that Harry had an invisibility cloak, which now seemed to have been received.
Before the door closed, John followed behind and walked in.
He was in a hurry to show himself, but watched Harry take off his invisibility cloak.
Harry's lantern swayed back and forth on the bookshelves looking for traces of Nicol Lemay, he was so nervous that he even heard whispers from the book, not knowing if it was a hallucination or reality.
Searching through the vast shelves, Harry had to find a place to start.
He carefully placed the lamp on the ground and looked down the bottom of the bookshelf, looking for something interesting.
Suddenly, he saw a large black and silver book, and pulled it out without thinking.
"Stop!"
John saw that it was too late to stop the book, and Harry was startled when he heard the low cry, and subconsciously opened the book.
"Ah——!h
Mournful, creepy screams cut through the silence.
The whole book was screaming, and Harry felt a tingling in his ears and slammed it shut.
But it was too late, the screaming didn't stop, and Harry nervously backed away and knocked the lamp down.
In a panic, he couldn't care about the voice he had just spoken.
Putting the book back on the shelf, he put on his cloak of invisibility and ran outside.
Filch, who heard the commotion, had fury in his eyes, and Harry went right under his outstretched arms.
Harry was in a panic, and without a lantern, he couldn't tell where he was.
Finally he stopped in front of a tall suit of armor, and the sound of Filch making a small report could be heard in his ears.
Around the corner Snape and Filch walked over, and Harry could only step back, carefully squeezing into one of the open doors on the left without making a sound.
Leaning against the wall, Harry listened to the footsteps drifting away, inhaled deeply, and took off the cloak of invisibility.
Just when he thought he was all right and wanted to take a look at the room, the wooden door was opened.
Harry didn't see anyone coming in, he felt like he was haunted.
The hairs on his body stood on end, and he stepped back in fear.
Suddenly, Harry's shoulder was touched, and he opened his mouth wide to scream, and his mouth was covered by a hand.
"Shhhh
"John?"
Harry heard a familiar voice and turned his head to see John as if he had appeared out of nowhere.
John was helpless, he had known that he had just been so embarrassed, and now Snape knew that someone had been hanging out there when someone had been going to the library.
"That voice was you? How do you do it? Do you also have an invisibility cloak? ”
After asking three questions to see how surprised Harry was, John had a big head and changed the subject, "Why don't we take a look at this place first?" I haven't been in here yet. ”
Hearing him say that, Harry began to pay attention to this place.
It looked like an abandoned classroom, with many desks and chairs stacked on the wall, showing a large black shadow.
There was also an upside-down wastebasket, and on the wall opposite them there was something out of place with the surroundings.
John also noticed the mirror, which was a very imposing mirror, very tall, about the height of the ceiling.
Gorgeous gold frames supported by two claw-shaped feet underneath.
There was another line at the top, which John read, "Eris Stella Ohru Ait-Ubi Kafru Ayteon Wochs." ”
It's a weird mirror.
As a Gryffindor, Harry walked over without fear.
The next second, Harry stood in front of the mirror in horror.
"What's wrong?"
John walked over for some reason, and Harry's breathing became rapid, and the blood on his face quickly receded.
"There were a lot of people in the mirror, at least a dozen, and they were all behind me."
Harry's words stunned John, and he leaned over to take a look.
Nothing...... Wrong!
John's eyes widened as he watched the table of Celestial Empire delicacies appear next to him in the mirror in front of him.
Rubbing his eyes, John looked again and saw that he was already enjoying his meal.
Not only that, but John in the mirror is dressed in a gorgeous wizard's robe, looks in his twenties, holds an Elder Wand in his hand, a symbol of strength, and wears the Order of the First Class of the Order of Merlin on his chest.
Remembering the story of the mirror, John muttered to himself, "The Mirror of Eris? ”
Didn't he remember that this mirror didn't appear at the end, and why did it appear now?
"John, I feel like they're all my relatives."
Harry saw a gentle, beautiful woman behind him in the mirror, smiling and her eyes full of love.
Beside the woman was a man with black hair and glasses, and his hair was as unkempt as Harry's.
Harry felt that they were his parents, not just parents, but other relatives, who had the same green eyes as Harry.
These were the things Harry craved most, and he stared hungrily into the mirror, not wanting to take them off for a moment.
Place your hands on the mirror, as if to enter it to reunite with your loved ones.
John looked at him a little stunned and pulled him away from the mirror.
"We should leave, Filch and they'll be back."
Despite some reluctance, Harry agreed.
He put on the cloak of invisibility and invited John to leave with him, and John smiled slightly and said mysteriously, "I don't need to." ”
With a flick of his wand, John vanished in front of Harry.
Shocked, Harry tentatively called out, "John, are you still there?" ”
"Of course."
There was a response, and Harry reached out and touched John's face.
"Be careful, you almost poked me in the eye."
Hearing this, Harry put away his hand.
Before leaving the room, John stopped and looked at the mirror, where there appeared to be a silver-haired old man, but then disappeared in the blink of an eye.
"Dumbledore?"
Not thinking that he was mistaken, John suddenly realized that this thing was put in by Dumbledore.
In that case, Harry shouldn't be in danger.
Parting ways with Harry at the top of the stairs, John went to the forbidden book section and found a copy of the ancient alchemy, Supreme Alchemy, from which he took back to his bedroom.
Just looking at it for a while, he felt a little dizzy.
The content in it is too profound, just like "Fairy Foundry", which requires a lot of foundation to pave the way.
"If you are greedy and chew more, you still have to start from the grassroots step by step."
Placing the book under his pillow, John opened the map of the living spots, and Quirrell headed out of Hogwarts.
John was hesitant to come along.
But after thinking about it, I dispelled it.
Not to mention Voldemort, Quirrell is not a professor that he can deal with.
Unless it's a surprise, the magic gap between the two is still too big.
And John didn't have an attack similar to the Curse of Death, and if his identity was revealed, he was afraid that he would die.
The Christmas holidays are not over yet.
John made several trips to the library during this time, and took with him a lot of books on basic alchemy.
During this time, he frantically replenished his alchemy knowledge, but this was not enough.
However, in a book about ancient alchemy, a record of Nicol Lemay was found.
"Nicol Lemay, known as the sole maker of the Philosopher's Stone."
When he saw this book, John's mind was surging.
He remembered that the first year of Harry Potter was guarded by the Philosopher's Stone.
And this thing can save John a lot of time and directly use the top-level alchemy.
"Philosopher's Stone......"
Stroking the record of the Philosopher's Stone, the thought of immortality crossed his mind, and then disappeared again.
He remembered that immortality had great side effects, not only to consume emotions, but more importantly to become physically fragile.
It's better to kill John than to live forever.
"Maybe tell Harry about them."
Harry, they're all about to give up these days.
