Chapter 482: Musashi's Past
"To be honest, I'm honored to have you here."
Principal Shige led John into the courtyard with a beautiful cherry blossom tree.
The pink and white petals are beautiful in the moonlight.
The thick trunk, the drooping tidbits.
Whether it is the East or the West, seeing this scene, there is a sense of original beauty.
"And not just because of your strength, Lord Silverhand." Headmaster Chong tapped his wand on a door in the courtyard, "And your amazing wisdom."
The door opened to the sides, revealing a place with many bookshelves.
It's an attic, which is also where the library is located.
In the attic, there are not only papers, but also many things that resemble scrolls.
"I've heard that most of Johnny Silverhand's stuff was created by you, Lord Silverhand." Principal Heavy invites John in.
John picked up a scroll and opened it, and inside was something written by an ancient onmyoji, or wizard.
"Looks like you know a lot, Headmaster." John glanced at the contents of the scroll, about an ancient closing spell.
Principal Zhong smiled and said, "Like Your Excellency, we like to study some things."
He stroked his beard, looked at John with cloudy eyes, and said, "A friend of mine always compliments me on your intelligence in front of me, and I am highly anticipated."
"Then your friend must be a powerful wizard." John saw a door in the attic on the first floor, and he asked, "What's that?"
The door was tightly sealed, and there were numerous magical runes on it.
Principal Chong looked at it and said with a smile, "It's nothing."
Obviously, he doesn't want to say it yet.
John nodded in understanding, and then asked if he could take a look at it.
"I'll close the library for you for a while," Principal Chong said, "lest my students disturb you."
"Then thank you, Principal." John didn't say no.
Principal Chong walked out of the library and closed the door.
John looked back at the closed door again and turned to walk up to the second floor.
There are more books here than Hogwarts, most of them are things that have been handed down from ancient times.
When you look out from the second floor, you can see the beautiful cherry blossom tree.
John familiarized himself with the library and picked out some of the ancient books, which he focused on reading.
As he settled in the library, John was also rapidly ingesting knowledge.
The predecessor of the magic house was called Yinyangliao, and the original prototype was the Onmyoji.
So their magic is different from that of the West.
For example, those spells that can be placed on paper to create different powers are called talismans in the magic system.
It is a more obvious difference between Eastern and Western wizards.
Similar to John's amulet, but their talisman is used more as a seal.
So the Closure Charm is a spell that is commonly used.
The legend of the nocturnal wandering of the hundred ghosts that circulates in this country is used by wizards to deal with those monsters who hover between life and death.
"How does it sound like a ghost?"
John pondered for a moment, then continued to open a scroll to watch.
This view is to see the day from the night.
His brain is like a dry sponge, greedily sucking up foreign intellectual arguments.
When the second night came, John's expression became solemn.
"That's pretty similar to what I guessed."
Looking at one of the volumes, it is written, the power of magic is the power of the mind, and the magic can be stimulated to activate through the sensation of excitement.
John had tried to inspire anger when he was training with Malfoy.
The scrolls are all in neon language, but with John's learning ability, learning a language is still very simple.
He doesn't
I looked at it and gradually my expression became wrong.
"Experiment?"
He saw a book that wasn't a scroll, and it contained some sort of experiment.
John perused it and found various theories about this experiment being conducted under the guise of improving magical talent.
"It's a theory, after all."
It records the use of electric shocks to stimulate the human brain, which can stimulate stronger emotions and greatly increase the magic power.
And that's not all, there are various experiments that spark wizards' talents.
This includes but is not limited to, being thrown from a high altitude like Neville's childhood to spark his magical talents.
Although wizards have a hard life, it is obviously impossible to avoid death.
John closed the book and threw it aside, this thing was a chicken rib.
I guess I did it because my brain was pumped.
Activating magical talents through external stimuli would most likely result in the appearance of one more madman-like wizard.
"Azkaban will wave at you."
Day 3.
John found an account of the magic of bonding.
It's like Harry's mother's love, and it's hard to say that Harry hasn't borrowed it.
It's an ancient magic that elevates those who are caught in it through the bonds of friendship.
Similar to the protagonist of the anime, a roar and mouth cannon, and finally come to the sentence 'Don't underestimate our bonds, there is a high probability that you can hit explosive damage.'"
John isn't the main character of the anime, and what he wants to learn about is the bonds in it.
It didn't require the magic of blood connection, and based on the method of emotional connection, he studied it for a day.
John hadn't been out of the attic for four days.
He didn't know anything about the outside world.
Musashi was imprisoned.
...
Dungeon.
Shizuka-sama stood outside the cell, looking at Musashi, who had lost a lot of weight in four days, and said sadly, "Why did you come back, Musashi-kun."
Musashi looked at the familiar face and said hoarsely, "I've been through a lot outside, and I found that I can't escape."...
"This shouldn't be your fate," Shizuka-sensei sobbed, "You shouldn't be like this."
"From the moment I stepped into that room, it was doomed."
Musashi looked at his much rougher palms and smiled bitterly, "Big Bear, they all want to kill me, because I cheated and ran away."
"When I leave there, every scene in the back of the room recurs every night."
Covering his head in pain, Musashi's voice was hoarse like a stranded fish, and he roared, "You know what, look at those people who are as ignorant as I am, those who have been studied, those who have been electrocuted!"
He rushed to the cell door and screamed wildly, "Why are you coming back, Shizuka, you should stay away from this hell!"
Musashi's expression was frenzied, and his eyes were full of confusion and anger.
Shizuka stepped back again and again, her face turned pale, and her lips curled, "IāI want to protect them."
"You can't protect them, Shizuka." Musashi said, "These secrets have been here for decades, and as long as Principal Shige's day is still around, you can't do anything about it."
"But even if I escape, then there is no hope at all." Shizuka said stubbornly.
Musashi let go of his hand, and he sat down slumped.
"Are you resentful that I didn't save your brother?"
"No, please don't think so, Musashi-kun." Shizuka hurriedly explained, "I know you've been out there all these years, and you sent us money."
"Sometimes it's small, sometimes it's big."
"Every single one of these dollars was paid for with your life," Shizuka said softly, "I know you want to protect the children, but this is not the way to go."
"Only by cutting them off completely can they be saved."
Musashi looked at this woman who was once the best with him, and he had been making money crazy all these years, just to be able to forgive his sins.
But his evasion, in front of Shizuka's brave stand-up, looked so cowardly.
Musashi said, "You won't succeed, it's not just Shige, but the big guys are also involved."
Shizuka didn't speak, but her eyes were full of moving strength.
...
Half a month has passed.
John compresses his time every day, sleeping only two hours, and without a second more, he will get up and continue watching.
Thanks to his unremitting efforts, he has a preliminary grasp of the magic of bonds.
He was ready to leave.
Just as he opened the door to the library, Principal Shige's head was already standing outside the door.
John wondered, "You don't have to go to class?"
The old man seemed to have forgotten that he was the headmaster, and even greeted him.
Principal Chong smiled and said, "Your Excellency Silver Hand may not know that today is the students' holiday, and they have all left the school to go back."
"Really?" John didn't care, "Then I'll take my leave."
"Wait."
A strange color flashed under Principal Chong's cloudy eyes, and he smiled, "Isn't Your Excellency Silverhand curious about what's behind that door?"
"To be honest, that's a research project that the school has been involved in in recent years."
"Research project?" John frowned.
"Yes," Principal Chong invited, "I wonder if Your Excellency Silver Hand is interested?"
"This is a joint project between the Institute of Magic and the Ministry of Magic, and I would like to invite you in, and I hope you can give us guidance in this regard."
Headmaster Chong was very optimistic about John's second kingship, and said, "That friend of mine said that only His Excellency the Silver Hand has the power to help us."
"Interesting," John chuckled, "that friend of yours seems to have a high opinion of me?"
"That's why I have so much respect for you."
Headmaster Heavy invites John to the door.
The sealed door was pushed open by Principal Chong.
The door creaked open.
A long, long, piercing sound of heaviness was heard.
Behind is a staircase that leads to the darkness.
Principal Chong's smile looked extremely strange in that dimly lit environment.
John narrowed his eyes, but wanted to see what was going on.
He walked inside.
...
