Chapter 21: Barbara's Observations

This file is a record of Red Douglas's observations and analysis.

Record the oracle of man.

Day 1 Recording:

I'm an oracle, and I've been commissioned by Batman to track down a new dangerous element in Gotham City, Red Douglas.

He once caused the Siannis Mansion incident, which caused Batman to be in a coma for a week due to excessive blood loss; And in the bombing of the Black Gate Prison, defeat Deathknell, Lady Siva, Devil's Daughter, Jason and other masters, kill and dismember Bane.

Due to physical reasons, I was not personally involved in stopping his actions at the scene, but based on the aftermath of the oral accounts of those present and the records of the crime scene, it can be seen that this is a very manic and irritable, bloodthirsty and belligerent dangerous person.

But unexpectedly, the first thing Batman does when he wakes up is to rush to the scene and meet most of his demands with great concessions.

It's strange that Batman has always been an uncompromising man in our eyes, and it is unimaginable for us to give in to a prisoner whose hands are already stained with blood - not even Jason has been treated with such favors......

Back to the point, but since he made this decision, we also obeyed his arrangement to stop all hostile behavior towards Red Douglas. Since Batman would do this, there must be his own reasons.

However, even that doesn't mean we're letting go of this time bomb in Gotham, and under Batman's arrangement, I'm in charge of monitoring Red's day-to-day behavior around the clock.

I used to have to monitor most of Gotham's public cameras to find out what might be the spark for a crime. But now it's just narrowing down the surveillance to one person, and to be honest, I was a little suspicious at first that I was being underused.

But I believe in Batman, who is labeled as Euclid in the file for his danger level, and his arrangement will always be justified.

Maybe he's hiding his evil side?

......

Day 7 Record:

The target hasn't been out for two weeks straight.

If it weren't for the fact that he would take his cat to the yard every day to bask in the sun, and would buy some game consoles, computers and other equipment online, I would have worried that something had happened to him.

Although he doesn't want to make subjective conclusions, he is very ..... Honest.

Maybe Batman is overestimating his danger a bit?

......

Day 14 Record:

The target is finally out of the house.

But everything he behaves seems normal, and every day after leaving his house, he first takes his blue kitten around Gotham, plays with the cat in the park, and picks up cat food at the supermarket, and doesn't seem to have anything out of the ordinary.

Maybe he is a man who enjoys ordinary life?

......

Day 21 Record:

There was nothing unusual about the target's behavior this week, and I even started to change my opinion of him a little bit because of a few things.

He stopped an extortion among students in an alley near a middle school, provided food and water to homeless people in a park, and dissuaded a man who wanted to jump into a river at the Gotham Bridge.

Maybe he really doesn't have any bad intentions?

.....

Day 28 Record:

The target looks like he's working all over the place, it's weird, he has a credit card provided by Batman and he can't worry about eating and drinking, but he starts applying for odd jobs everywhere.

Sometimes I go to a construction site to move bricks, sometimes I go to an amusement park to put on a white puppy doll costume, and sometimes I go to the botanical garden to volunteer for labor......

Maybe he's looking for a way to realize his life's worth?

——

"You can see that your mind about him is changing."

"Well, because the request you gave me was that it could contain subjective opinions......"

"No, I mean you're doing a good job, Barbara."

Batman carefully reviewed the month's observations from cover to cover before handing them back to a red-haired girl in a wheelchair with glasses.

She is the oracle, Barbara Gordon.

Barbara is the daughter of GCPD Director James Gordon, and she was once the Batwoman who fought alongside Batman. However, due to an incident, she was shot by a criminal clown and left her paralyzed. She is forced to remove Batgirl's cape.

Even so, she has not given up her belief in fighting evil, and she has adopted the oracle as her new title, using her computer technology to provide remote information support for the Bat family's battles.

"So what do you think, Bruce, is he really harmless to humans and animals......"

"No, you're wrong - you look at this first."

I saw Batman raise his arm, and a holographic projection screen appeared above the back of his hand, and it could be seen that this was an excerpt from several recent online news.

"A high school student in Evanston was blackmailed for a long time and stabbed a senior bully with a pen."

"The three hooligans in Grant Park played tricks on the homeless for fun, and all of them were broken by the homeless with crutches."

"An employee in the Eastern District beat his boss to the hospital with a keyboard due to salary disputes and workplace exploitation."

......

Barbara's eyes widened with surprise as she looked at these seemingly inconsequential pieces of news.

"Are these ......?"

"That's right, it's all events that happened within a week of Red coming into contact with them."

Hearing Batman's words, Barbara bit her lip, her face full of unwillingness.

"I was so careless that I didn't find any connection between these events and the target."

"It's not your fault, after all, there's no evidence that he's directly connected to these cases — and they're not serious in nature, and it's normal to be ignored in the daily cases in Gotham City."

"So the reason why he later went to do odd jobs was also ......"

"Due to the construction environment, noise and other problems on the construction site, both workers and nearby people can often have a lot of anger; Although amusement parks are places of joy, many people will inevitably accumulate dissatisfaction here, whether it is the staff who are treated unreasonably by tourists or the tourists who queue for too long. ”

With a wave of his hand, Batman pulled up several more information on violent cases related to it, and their common feature was that the casualties were not serious, but they were all related to the location where Red had stayed.

"So he's going around inciting violence and stirring up the anger of others...... If this continues, you can't ignore him like this! ”

But unlike the indignant Barbara, Batman held his chin thoughtfully, and shook his head gently after a moment.

"In fact, he can't be blamed entirely, these people have accumulated anger in the first place, and he just let this anger get vented, and even without his influence, these cases would have happened sooner or later."

Barbara looked at Batman in surprise, she could hardly imagine that this man who had always been stubborn and strict would take the initiative to excuse others.

It should be said that from the beginning, Batman's attitude towards Red was incredibly tolerant, and it can be regarded as indulgence.

"But what you say has a point, and ignoring him might cause trouble."

With that, Batman looks up at Barbara, and his next words make the latter almost think that something is wrong with his ears.

"It seems that we are going to try to influence him with love."
