Cleveland is located on the southern shore of Lake Erie, at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River, within the boundaries of the former Western Reserve, 100 kilometers from Pennsylvania, and is the capital of Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Opened in 1796, the port has historically become a manufacturing center due to the intersection of canals and railways. After the decline of large industries, it became a financial, insurance and medical center. In the 30s of the 20th century, it has become a modern metropolis.
